A Thousand And One Manses
The following is a massive list of the manses that fill Creation, started as a CommunalProject. Many of the Manses below are from before White Wolf gave detailed Manse guidelines, and may not include full power information.
Note from the Project Founder
This is going to be a long term project.
Basically, when players go out looking for manses, I don't really just want to hand them a manse without making it interesting in some way. Also, one of my player possesses a ghost-seeing blindfold, and the Circle has the Five Metal Shrike, so the can literally fly around and pick up manses or demenses as they see fit. Well, they probably could if they wanted to. Thankfully they haven't yet, as I'm woefully unprepared if they do.
So here I intend to compile any interesting manse-centered story ideas. Now, I'm not trying to keep players from going to look for manses or making them impossible to take, I'm just trying to get more flavor into the story around the manses itself. That's not to say a level 4 or 5 manse shouldn't have a challenge behind it, but that it should be more than an unprepared storyteller saying something like "It's a big looking place and it's full of... (*flips to a random page*) ... grate monkeys" or something.
Anyway, lots of manse or demense-based ideas will be here soon. If you happen to want to post your own here, feel free.
-- Mnemosynis

Summaries
These are several Manses thought up for canon Hearthstones. They are short and do not have their own subpages. Summaries are not counted towards the total Manse count above.
- Sphere of the Revolutionary Dog: Telgar This Manse is located inside a Southern volcano, dormant and suppressed by the Manse itself. The crystals growing in the lavatube have been fashioned into mirrors, each one becoming more and more perfect as you approach the middle of the Manse, where the entire magma chamber is mirrored. You can see every part of yourself, and the mirrors intensify the light making it noon-day bright and more.\\
The heat seems like a crucible, the mirror images don't let you escape yourself. The hearthstone forms in the middle of the lava pool, on a bit of rock.
- Jewel of the Monkey's Finger: FourWillowsWeeping A ring of stones with a standing stone in the centre. the standing stone looks like a beautiful nude person from some angles, and a capering monkey from others. The stone forms in a crevice that forms the female human's crotch.
- Gem of Sapphire and Emerald: willows A hundred and eight pillars of black jade, each crowned with a different finial, a reversal of a rune of power. each time the Stone snuffs a spell, one of these runes bursts, and a new rune grows from the pieces. LeumasWhite A manse made from the imperishable sky-glass that holds all those Solar memories.

Comments
You might wanna organize these by Manse/Demanse, Element and Rating. As a thought. Much easier to find the one you want/need, then. DS
Thanks for the idea. I'll be sure to put it to use. :) -- Mnemosynis
This might make a cool collective project, like A Taxonomy Of Madness. - Quendalon
Since this is turning into a collective project, I think it should probably be moved to Locations/AThousandAndOneManses. - Quendalon
I have to say that the file names here are confusing. ManseFive is level 4, ManseTwo is level 5... why aren't you guys just naming them things like FirstAndFinalGate and TowerInTheMountain? That would seem to be much more intuitive. - Quendalon
I think it's partly for humor and partly for the sake of counting.. The project is calledLocations/AThousandAndOneManses, after all. :) -Dissolvegirl
I was just following established convention :) They probablly should be renamed, to either FirstAndFinalGate style or Air4-1 style. DS
I have 13 Manses already at Telgar's Manses. I wouldn't mind copying them into the 1001 Manse Project if you'd like. I'm writing a few more anyway. - Telgar
I have some thumbnail descriptions of manses at TenThousandBrokenDreams/HundredKingdoms. - Quendalon
Hope no one minds my re-formatting. All the title bars made my eyes hurt and having them for everything makes it hard to tell stuff apart. - Telgar
Nah, it looks much cleaner this way. Thanks! - Quendalon
- I'll second that. Go Telgar! :) DS
The count is off. I count 37 manses, 42ish if you included the unknown ones, and a few more on top if you also include demesnes. -- Darloth
Since this hasn't been updated in two years, I'm moving all of our individual Manses to it to try and reignite the project. -- FrivYeti
Are you still accepting submissions? I'm new to this wiki, but I do have a Manse idea. I'm not sure where to post the idea for review before it's actually added. The Talk page says it doesn't exist & I'm not used to being a wiki contributor. - Sivartius
