Morrigu's User Page of Magnificent Brilliance and Fluffy Kittens

Who / What?

Morrigu is a 22 year old geek girl. She programs, does art - pixel art, traditional / CG art and is going to dabble in 3D when she can motivate herself - and likes roleplaying in nearly all shapes or forms. Among other things:

  • Has helped run an IRC 3E D&D roleplay channel which she co-founded for three years
  • Has roleplayed in about a dozen MMORPGs
  • Loves Amber diceless roleplaying to bits
  • Is currently in way too many games to even keep track of. x_x Among which Of Fire and Iron, and A Dance of Angels, an Amber game, J's Solar Game, an Aberrant game, Shadowrun game, and might even potentially be in Child of Cultgame and running Mourngame herself. x_x

She's also rather obsessed with demons, and so has a natural affinity towards demon-blooded characters, demon NPCs and infernal / Malfeas themed stuff, which is why she likes making stuff in that direction.

Also really likes vanilla fudge. Mmmm... Fudge...

Characters

Aeryn Katriona, the Tide Breaker: Dereth secondborn daughter of the Tri-Kahn of Chiaroscuro, sailor, bureaucrat and brawler. Eclipse solar exalted. Now finally in a game! (see also Tri-Kahn's Family for her closest relatives)

Izabella De Windia aka Iselsis: sister to Selina De Windia. Changed through conspiracy to become dependant on those who are now her benefactors, trying to figure out what she is and what her place in the world is. Part of A Dance of Angels.

Lilith, the Mantaray of Wyld Tides: An old noble raksha eschu who is seeking the perfect balance of weave and wyld in order to save both the Fair Folk and the denizens of Creation. She's taken up a freehold inside Creation and is seen as the guardian of the surrounding area. Retired due to being too stiff and stuffy.

The Most Beloved Daughter aka Franciska: daughter of Zsofika, demoness of the second circle. (see Of Fire And Iron)

Chaplain Deirdre Morgan of the Violet Faythe: a mortal gunzosha warrior in an alternate FA setting where deathlords brought about the end of the FA in a titanic clash with the exalted. Warrior, thaumaturge, and last surviving member of her unit. Character Image

Morrigu (version 4.0): A funeral priestess from Sijan who exalted by finding her FA self's Book of Faith, a powerful artifact that functions as a bible, spellbook, spell enhancer and thrown weapon by reciting the passages and flinging their essence counterparts at the enemy. Killed her FA self's hungry ghost while exalting as a Zenith. She then left to become a travelling funeral priestess. Wields flame enchanted katana, spells, and her book. Uses the book as a focus for her essence, believes she's powerless without it. Retired due to game collapse. *sadface* Character Image

Peopleses

In no particular order all the nice people from #tower ... and Selina:

  • DarkheartOne Raksha boy. Very good with the fairer folk, go see his fair folk goodness, specifically Raksha Combat. Very nice and calm and patient person too.
  • DarkSirenSally Aka Mieu, through whom I managed to find #tower. I am very grateful for that indeed. ^_^ A very nice lady who puts up with occasional random angst from my end and is a great wordsmith with tons of great ideas.
  • FiatVictrix Can be a bit annoying sometimes, but we seem to have come to an understanding somehow. Tends to make me laugh even though his character is always picking on mine, and adds sometimes much need levity to certain scenes. Seems very cruel as an ST (good) and is very intelligent, usually picks up on way more layers and connection than I ever do.
  • GoldenCat aka Colapso, whom I don't always see eye-to-eye with, but is the best ST I've had the pleasure of knowing and playing with.
  • Greymane The much esteemed ST of Of Fire and Iron, commonly refered to as Boil Game. More descriptive than I'll ever be. His characters also so far seem to mesh pretty well with mine, which I always find awesome when that happens.
  • Jade One of my oldest and best friends, and a very cruel ST / GM /DM / etc, which is good.
  • Kazuki He likes playing sidereals. o_o Very friendly though kinda quiet, but definately has a good heart. Always picture him as an older bishy with glasses. Mieu's fault.
  • Kraken A very friendly, helpful and nice person. Walking Exalted repository. Might even be better with Exalted numbers than I am. Le gasp.
  • Raccoon lives in a trashcan. Makes too many characters and yet plays too few of them.
  • Seiraryu Is hugely creative and keeps coming up with ideas and unlike me actually manages to usually follow through somehow. Puts up with my tantrums more than he probably should when he tries to help me.
  • Selina I was kidding up there. Selina's type of characters seem to mesh pretty well with mine judging by the two games we've played in together, which as said before is awesome. I see eye-to-eye with her on a lot of other things as well, and understanding is also awesome. I'm using the word awesome too often.
  • SlipNine Aka Rin, who is a real comedian. Characters tend to be odd but seem amusing, let's hope I ever get to play with one. Is also a wizard with 3D stuff even if he doesn't believe that himself and only really needs to sit down and learn to texture.

    • Hi, some nice stuff here, interesting choice in sign in name - what made you decide to use it? Eldmar
Thanks! I should probably finish most of the stuff I was working on at some point sometime. As for the name, long story. Short version is that I'd just gotten the nick Morrigan back on an IRC server at the same time I was starting on my first Exalted game. I was told names in Creation tended to be more jappish. So I changed it to Morrigu (probably more like Morigu but eh) and it just kinda stuck. o_o On a different note, I'm working on Morrigu the character v4.0. Hopefully this one will stick. ^^; -- Morrigu
    • Ah, well I was wondering because the names Morrigan and Morrigu come from ancient Celtic (Irish) history. They were very important characters and revered throughout the land. The names come from a root word meaning 'Great Queen'. Eldmar
I'm glad other people are paying attention to the history of my country. Just be careful that it's not a case of fate, turning out to be a longlost scion of the Victorian monarchy would be a bad thing in this day and age. -- Somori who knows more about the fictional mythology of Exalted and D&D than he does any kind of real past or present religion
Oh, I knew that. I take celtic names a lot because they have convenient meanings. Others include Caoimhe and Brennus Aonghus. I believe those are both celtic anyway, not sure now. And the PC I first used Morrigan on definately fit the description, hence why I took it. I didn't know Morrigu was an actual alternate spelling though. *enlightened* -- Morrigu
    • Well it depends who you read but some books claim that the Morrigu is the plural formed by the amalgamation of Anu, Macha and Babh. Eldmar
