: That would appear to be an abbreviation of my non-canon longer version from [[TheHoverpope/Hegra]], although I don't remember if I was the one that did it. Those are definitely my demons, and if I may say so, my absolute worst work ever. - [[TheHoverpope]]

:: OK, thanks.  As per standards, I've removed the abbreviation; people who want non-canonical renditions still have full access to your alternate version on its own page. On a related note, if you don't like these demons, revise them!  There's no reason why something you're unsatisfied with should be set in stone. :-)  I've revised a few of my demons from '04 recently, and I feel they're much improved as a result. - [[Quendalon]]

Hegra, the Typhoon of Nightmares

Memory, Perception
Progeny Count: 8:0:0
Back to A Taxonomy of Madness

  • Lypothymie, Twelfth Soul, the Masks of Melancholy
  • Dymarak, Second Soul, the Darkened Heart (BogMod)
Dymarak is envy and jealousy unmatched. He is a dangerous and bitterly hateful creature.
  • Aile, The Dream that Does not End (TheHoverpope)
Aile is the suffering that is brought from hopeless impotence; she is as a fall from the stars to the ground. Appearing as a drowned body, she destroys the hope of anyone that her wrath touches.
  • Arama, the End of Success (TheHoverpope)
Arama is the knowledge of failure; she is an entropic being whose mere presence tears apart the work of others. She appears to be perfect, that others may see their flaws and failings in heightened relief, and despair.
  • Enoch, the Murmering in the Shadows (TheHoverpope)
The horror that breeds in the unknown, the whispering of shadows in the dark of night and the scraping of claws across the floor outside of one's sight, this many-limbed insectoid horror is the nightmare that comes from fevered dreams and glimpses of something terrible.
  • Illursinex, the Unnatural Horror (TheHoverpope)
Illursinex is the terrible beast that haunts dreams not with subtlety or with insight into the minds of men, but with strong arms and unnatural form, terrorizing with his very presence, a creature terrible and mighty.
  • Ka, The Sleeping Madness, Fetich Soul of Hegra (TheHoverpope)
Ka is the dream that is incomprehensible in its madness; it is not a dream of telling portents, confused by a lack of vision, but pure chaos, unhindered by the fact that a mind must create it. She rose from the body of the slain fetich of Hegra, and still bears that old soul's wounds; it is that misery that drives her to torment.
  • Sorrana, The Shortness of One's Reach (TheHoverpope)
Sorrana is the terror that one will be unable to save the ones that you love when needed. She is the knowledge that one's reach is limited, and is both the sight of a lover slipping out of a grasp to their death and the force that pulls them. She rarely takes physical form, appearing instead as a distortion of space and logic.

Whose non-canonical description of Hegra is this? TheHoverpope? Wordman? - Quendalon

That would appear to be an abbreviation of my non-canon longer version from TheHoverpope/Hegra, although I don't remember if I was the one that did it. Those are definitely my demons, and if I may say so, my absolute worst work ever. - TheHoverpope
