Methods to Destroy Gem
- 1. First and Forsaken Lion has arranged to have Fair Folk destroy Gem, thus turning it into a shadowland. (canon)
- 2. The nation of Yugash in Autochthonia needs resources. So they broke open the seals of the world and went to destroy Gem for all of it's resources. (canon)
- 3. The Perfect of Paragon, with some asistance of the Realm, is going to destroy Gem by taking control of all of it's mines (canon)
- 4. Having dug too far underground for the precious material that is its namesake, Gem collaspes under itself. - Paladinltd
- 5. Yurgen Kaneko, the infamous Bull of the North, gets lost on his way to Cherak, and winds up in front of Gem. Angry at his poor sense of direction he destroys it for not being Cherak. - Paladinltd
- 6. The good news: Celestial Censors have successfully rooted out a large network of Heavenly gods, some extremely powerful, who were Yozi loyalists. The bad news: after the punishments were carried out, the Sidereals predicted a shower of large starmetal chunks all coming down in a small area of the south... - Everyl
- 7. It doesn't get destroyed. Ironically, Gem is the safest place in Creation - that's why none of the plots to destroy it have come to fruition yet. Even when Creation collapses at the end of the Age of Sorrows, Gem endures to become the seed of the next reality. -Everyl
- 8. The Wyld Hunt locates the Essence of an extremely powerful Anathema in Gem. The resulting battle between new Exalt and extra-large Wyld Hunt brigade (predictably) destroys Gem. - CaptainPenguin
- 9. Everyone who lives in Gem simultaneously realizes just how stupid they are for living there. The entire population packs up its valuables and leaves in a mass exodus, leaving nothing but empty buildings behind. After that, it doesn't matter that much who gets to go in and knock the buildings over. -Everyl
- 10. Whatever the other details of the Yozis' breakout plans are, it involves entering Creation through Gem. Even if the Exalted get their acts together and drive the Yozis back, Gem gets more than thoroughly squished in the process. -Everyl
- 11. Gem was actually destroyed way back in the Great Contagion, when the Wyld devoured enough of the borders of Creation that the land it was on ceased to exist. However, a massive snarl in the Loom of Fate causes the rest of Creation to continue functioning as though the city still exists. The Sidereals can't even figure out how to fix it at this point without unravelling half of the South. -Everyl
- 12. Gem is a figment of your imagination. In some ways similar to 11, however, you are entirely responsible for the delusion, and no actual material- including this page- on Gem really exists. If you believe anything contrary, you should be examined immediately by a qualified professional. -The Sea of Mind
- 13. Vampires and the Technocracy destroy Gem just after the Ravnos antediluvian awakens beneath it. The rest of the world subsequently implodes. -Arafelis
- 14. In a display of battle prowess for which they are so well-known, Lookshy conquers Gem pre-emptively, re-inforcing it with their own troops, training the citizens into elite miner-warriors capable of astonishing guerilla warfare, and uses the money to massively ramp up their production of Shogunate-era weapons. -Arafelis
- 15. A circle of Solars must fetch "the largest Gem in Creation". Now where could that be? - FlowsLikeBits

With all of the ways to destroy gem out there, I figured we needed a central location to orgaise them. So far I only have the canon ones up, but feel totally free to add on to the list.
