To be fair, as the original poster said, they aren't exactly as straightforwardly pictograpic as the Solar ones. Lots of people might know the symbols for Mars and Venus, they just don't know they're the symbols for Mars and Venus.\\
Unfortunately, not everyone had a childhood introduction to Bullfinch's Mythology. A shame, but not unforseeable. -Kicker

When White Wolf picked up the license to do an Everquest pen & paper game, one of the questions they most often took the time to answer in interviews and sneak peaks was "How will you handle monsters respawning?"
