Theme: Unwanted Suitors

Five errant young (and not so young) souls, all after the hand of a young Dynast in marriage. Sadly, whilst the young Dragon-Blooded seems to have a plethora of choices, none of those are choices to be willingly made. Whilst not a circle in the strictest sense, these people have got ever more involved in the games of (unreciprocated) romance, and know one another well. But who are they? The first contributor can dictate whom the Dynast is. ...DeathBySurfeit

As contributor 1, I choose the Dynast in question to be Tepet Hamaichi, third cousin to the Roseblack and eldest son of Tepet Keiichi (Fire Exalt) and Tepet Manami (Not Exalted). He is a junior military officer.

Memnon Ami is short and skinny; she is starting to take on the blue hair and blue skin of her Aspect, though you can tell she was born with pale skin and black hair. She typically wears a military uniform these days, though she wears elaborate, many-layered dresses when not 'on the job'. She also likes to wear fancy tiaras on formal occassions, set with blue gems.

Memnon Ami stunned both her parents by Exalting after 4 generations of failure to exalt had turned her line of the family into a very minor branch. Many suspect her mother probably cheated on her father with some Dragon-Blooded, but nothing was ever proven. Her status has enabled her to get what she has wanted out of life, when she's managed to exert herself. She is highly intelligent and reasonably adept physically. Her greatest strength is as a sorceress, trained at the Heptagram, though she is, in general, highly educated, having mastered the study of history, law, accounting, geography, the supernatural, and medicine. If forced into physical combat, she tends to favor archery, so as to avoid close combat. She has a jade bow named 'Striker', which is noteworthy for the vast ranges she can shoot it.

She is very shy and has difficulty expressing her feelings, often seeming somewhat cold and stand-offish, even though she wants to have more friends. Being a sorceror doesn't exactly help in this regard. She's socially inept in general, and her efforts to court Tepet Hamaichi have left him clueless that she is even TRYING to court him, though he's started to notice some of his girlfriends vanish mysteriously.

Like many students of the Heptagram, Ami is more comfortable talking to spirits, demons, elementals, etc, than people. As a result, she has had a tendency to summon things up for advice. Taking romance advice from demons, spirits, and elementals...is not the wisest of all things. And will likely blow up in her face some time soon...

Especially since some of her rivals are starting to wonder where these demons and spirits keep coming from...

Ledaal Shima easily fades into the background. She is pretty, but not amazingly so, and she wears very little visible jade. Even her breeding is faint; a paleness to her short brown hair, and a certain delicateness of skin is all that she is most noticeable for. At the same time, she tries hard, and seems ardent. And yet...

A member of the All-Seeing Eye masquerading as a simple clerk, Ledaal Shima began her suit of Tepet Hamaichi as cover for her ongoing investigation into the disappearance of one of his girlfriends under mysterious circumstances. Shima firmly believes that someone dire is going to try and use marriage to Hamaichi as part of a convoluted plot against the Realm, and is ardently investigating every possibility along the way.

However, rather to her surprise, she's actually found herself falling in love with Hamaichi, and she is starting to deliberately extend her investigation in order to be around him longer. After all, she may have to marry him to protect him from the demons that clearly want him to suffer.

Although Shima is an accomplished investigator, her tendancy to view events as pre-planned and malicious is badly hampering her in this case. Shima doesn't have a clue that Ami is even courting Hamaichi, let alone responsible for the assorted spirits she is hunting, and has instead fixed her suspicion on...

Cynis Keshena - Hapushet

Keshena is a tall, beautiful, elegant woman, whose lustruous black hair (with startling green highlights) and deep chesnut skin make her the envy of a number of women in her social circles. She is nearly 200, rich and powerful. Why she is interested in such a relative nobody as Hamaichi is not known, but what is known is this: he would be her seventh husband, and all six of the previous ones, including two Exalts, have died - quietly, in their beds - after only a decade or two of marriage to Keshena. In every case, Keshena was reliably observed by a number of witnesses hundreds of miles away at the time and showed every appropriate sign of grief, but each time also left her increasingly wealthy, and the rumors have begun to swirl.

The rumors are true. Keshena is a Yozi cultist who kills her husbands on the orders of her twisted masters, using demon-modified fellow cultists to impersonate her and terrible poisons from Malfeas to do her dark work. She is well aware of the notoreity the murders give her and enjoys it immensely.

As for Hamaichi, she originally had no particular interest in him - he caught her eye at a party as a potential bedmate, nothing more - but not long after she made her first attempt to seduce him, she was attacked by a demon in her bedchamber. She Banished it easily, but now believes that Hamaichi represents a key piece in some rival cultist's plans, and has increased her pursuit of him while she attempts to determine who it is and what advantage Hamaichi represents. Her investigation has been complicated by the sudden attention from Ledaal Shima, but she now believes her rival to be...

Sesus Tikisha ~StarHawk

This noteable dynast hails from Eagle's Launch and is well known among those in court as "The Blazing Peacock". Hamaichi caught Tikisha's eye several years ago, they flirted back and fourth playfully at some Cynis house party. For several months they stayed in contact. Their crush eventually grew to a like and they have been strong friends since. When Hamaichi was faced with courting several women at once, Tikisha steped in line to get in on the action.

Tikisha is a very beautiful person, roughly standing 5'8". With hair a deep auburn and eyes that appear orange in certain lights. He's quite a specimen. He also masqurades as a female. Tikisha wears long flowing gowns, and is built much like a woman would, not very muscular, but very agile and graceful.

Tikisha is by nature a very secretive person. "She" keeps to her quarters when not summoned out by Hamaichi. Often leading others to believe she knows things she doesn't. Though he does care deeply for Hamaichi, he doesn't love only him, and is indeed lusting after one of his courtiers a certain individual named ...

Currently under a Resplendant Destiny, hiding in Creation as the not-so-well known Cathak Arai, Earth Aspect, Blossom is a member of the Bronze Faction, currently under-taking her own personal mission of assuring that the Terrestrial Exalted marry well and breed well to maintain their numbers. For the past few years she has done well, without the use of charms she has successfully orchastrated several key marriages, that will not only consolidate power, and unity, but the strength of the Terrestrial Blood-lines.

Almost ironically, she has now found her self quite smitten with Tepet Hamaichi, and is trying to win his affection in turn. She herself is quite attractive, her form is well toned and limber thanks to her training in martial arts, and as a Maiden of Serenity, she does her best to maintain her out-ward beauty; Standing at a slightly smaller than average height, her hair is a deep brown and of course, her alluring yellow eyes, framed by a slightly tanned heart-shaped face.

However her efforts to win the heart of Tepet Hamaichi without alerting anyone to the nature of her efforts leaves her unable to apply her powerful charms to do so, but she would rather not, if only to have his heart wholly, and not mystically. That is of course if she were able to do so normally, as she finds herself being wanted by one Sesus Tikisha. Then of course there are the varied demons that try to do away with her as provided by...

Two Cents

This doesn't seem to be a very popular theme... If I knew more about them I'd add one. I guess it's time to hit the books and check it out. ~StarHawk
