Square O5 on the map.

Cherak is a Realm-aligned city-state on the north shore of the Inland Sea. It is ruled by House Ferem, according to the core book. However, in Savage Seas, it's mentioned as being the base of operations for House Margard.

Going by the "canon," it looks like House Ferem is the official ruling house of Cherak, and is a loyal tributary of the Realm. House Margard, on the other hand, is a merchant concern. The resulting tension between the two makes Cherak an interesting place.

Cherak's fleet is commanded by Admiral Ferem Helkar, a Fire-aspected DragonBlood.
