Mnemon Rofel
Deceased
In all of the Scarly Dynasty, one would be EXTREMELY hard-pressed to find a man more heartless, more ruthless, more ambitious, and more dangerous than Mnemon Rofel. Mnemon Rofel, the Mnemon Demon. His name was the sort than could, with a single whisper, calm screaming babes and angry men alike. His tall shadow could dwarf even the mightiest of warriors. When he spoke, hearts froze and courage shattered. Who was this god among gods?
Born to one of Mnemon's black sheep children, Rofel nonetheless became her favorite grandchild early on in life, when he broke the neck of a Sesus child who blew raspberries in her general direction at a party. Mnemon saw in Rofel the sort of fervent loyalty mixed with focused ferocity one usually finds in a particularly mean pit bull. In his eyes, Mnemon was a goddess, who dwarfed all others, even the Empress. It didn't take long for Mnemon to take the boy in as her protege.
In school, Rofel excelled in his studies, particularly his martial studies. Suprisingly, rather than enroll the potential general into the House of Bells, Mnemon sent her little Rottweiler to the Cloister of Wisdom, where his strength could be amplified a thousandfold. Mnemon knew she'd chosen right when the Cloister sent her a bill for the funeral of a 3rd Coil martial arts instructor who had perished attempting to discipline Rofel.
A master in the Earth Dragon style, Rofel went on to numerous posts in the various House Mnemon forces, distinguishing himself in each and every one. He was serving as temporary Satrap in Cherak, observing potential peasant uprisings, when a young Mya Brumagim informed him of a vast vein of jade near her town.
Rofel was slain on the 7th of Ascending Wood, RY 768, by the sworn brothers Kaiju and Mako during his attempt to seize the Eyrie mines. It was an epic battle but in the end, even Rofel the Mnemon Demon couldn't hope to stand against the might of the Celestial Exalted. His death blow was delivered by a ships anchor to his face. Needless to say, Mnemon wasn't terribly happy about that...
