21st Resplendent Air
Around noon the party arrives back in the Wood Court before the King. Jade Wisdom presents Frank, and Savvy tells the King that Frank could be sent back to the Guild with (and as) a message. The King thanks the group for their efforts, but does not elaborate on his plans for Frank.
This done, the Companions take their leave of the Court.
On the way out, Savvy offers Frank a pretty orange hallucinogenic berry as a parting gift as she feels a bit bad about his fate being left there.
Through the afternoon they walk back to Riverwood village. Upon arrival back at the barn it is plainly seen that the sailors and girls are gone! Savvy frantically asks Lisda where they may be, but of course Lisda doesn't know because she has been with Savvy the whole time. Lisda does point out that they have been gone a few days though, so Savvy shouldn't necessarily expect the people to just stay cooped up in a barn the whole time...
Shortly after this the men and women are all found, to Savvy's great relief. They have been working in and around the village to pay for their keep. Phew! Crisis over!
Jade Wisdom asks Phinnae if she is able to transform into any kind of aquatic animal that could aid in finding the magic rope. She says she can, and flies off to retrieve the artifact. Some six hours or so later she has a fish form large enough to carry that rope in its mouth, and soon after that has easily found the rope.
As evening falls, Scarred practices his drunken-fu in the village street (getting some odd looks from the inhabitants); Savvy helps her followers around the village doing chores; and Jade Wisdom talks with Lisda and Gare.
The father and daughter start arguing. She has decided she would like to stay with the Exalts and find her fortune in Nexus. He does not want to lose his last remaining family and be all alone. Jade Wisdom tries to make peace and mediate between them, but Lisda refuses his help and so he bows and bids them goodnight.
Phinnae flies back victorious and returns the magic cord to Jade Wisdom who is very grateful and relieved. He tries to use Artificer's Insight upon it once again, but is unable to pierce its use.
Soon, all are sleeping soundly in the barn again.
22th Resplendent Air
Scarred awakens early and hungover. To make himself feel better he immediately starts drinking again.
Lisda enters the barn and asks the Misfits what their plans are. Unfortunately, Scarred, Savvy and Jade Wisdom are discussing slavery and its relative pros, cons, evils, and benefits. Of course, this means that Savvy gets quite mad. She storms off angrily, shouting for them to never speak to her again! After she has left, Scarred mutters to himself that it must be that time of the month.
Jade Wisdom explains to Lisda about the Guild boat, and their plan to use it to get back to Nexus. She thinks it is a good idea.
Phinnae flies after Savvy and manages to calm her down after a short while. They come back as everyone is ready to leave.
Once more, Phinnae takes to the sky and looks for the Guild boat. She spots it easily as it hasn't moved from the previous day. It is, however, a hive of activity. At about noon she arrives back at the village to inform everyone of this. She also brings back a deer, which Jade Wisdom cooks up for lunch - though with few vegetables or condiments he finds it hard to make it particularly interesting.
After lunch they head out of Riverwood. As they leave, Gare calls out to Lisda that she will always be his Perfect butterfly. (Ooh! Foreshadowing!!!)
Jade Wisdom attempts to reassure the old man that his daughter will be fine. The Jadeborn swears to do his best to ensure no harm comes to her, but the old man is not very reassured by any of this.
While travelling, Phinnae has the idea to become a mouse and hide aboard the boat to keep track of it. Everyone agrees this is a good idea, thus she darts off and as a mouse, sneaks aboard the Guild boat. Once she is aboard, she notices that the boat seems to be ready to launch. She ponders for a few minutes then comes up with a cunning plan to disable the boat. She scampers to the rudder of the boat, becomes a human, and carefully disconnects it, letting it drop into the water. The men are dismayed that their rudder has fallen off mysteriously.
She quickly dons mouse shape again and scampers to more populated areas to eavesdrop. She hears a lot of panic about the rudder and wailing that the Anathema are coming to kill them all!
The rest of the party keeps walking through the snow, trying to keep warm.
On the journey Jade Wisdom and Lisda continue talking. She asks about Mountainfolk and he is only too happy to explain, until she calls him one of the Fair Folk! This upsets him greatly, and he has trouble attempting polite conversation after that.
Then Savvy steps forward to talk to Lisda about the Solar's life so far. After a minute or two of chatting, Lisda explains why Jade Wisdom is a little upset. Unthinkingly Savvy turns to the Jadeborn and also calls him a Fae. This angers him deeply and he stomps over to Scarred and partakes in some shared booze, then a pretty orange berry.
He sends several hours drunk and stoned.
About the time the berry is wearing off the Jadeborn, they all arrive within sight of the boat.
They discuss a simple plan for Scarred to sneak aboard, then the rest will walk to the boat and hopefully scare off the men. If the men put up a fight, then Scarred and Phinnae can surprise assault from unexpected quarters, and if the men launch the boat, then Scarred and Phinnae are aboard to delay the launch. This plan agreed upon, Scarred activates his Easily Overlooked Presence Method and heads towards the water craft.
Jade Wisdom is still very upset over the dire insults. The berry and booze did nothing to alleviate that, alas.
Scarred easily sneaks aboard the boat and begins searching for Phinnae. Amazingly, he does manage to find her despite the mouse form and explains the plan to her.
Savvy, Lisda and Jade Wisdom leave the sailors and slave girls among the trees for safety, and march towards the encampment as intimidatingly as they can manage. When they are close, they demand the men give up the boat to them. Not being completely insane, the men flee. Thinking they aren't fleeing fast enough, Phinnae becomes a Deadly Beastman and takes to the air again. The men flee even faster!
Yay for a boat!
Scarred drops his charm and goes to the main deck to greet the others as Phinnae flies down and lands. She is excited about leaving, but then remembers the rudder. She uncharismatically tries to politely ask Jade Wisdom to repair it.
Fuming inside his expressionless Jade armour, he nods and becomes instantly quite good at Woodcraft, praising the Great Maker as he does so. Despite being drunk and angry, he manages to fix the damahe once the rudder is brought up from the shallows.
While Jade Wisdom sets about fixing the rudder, Scarred finds the Guild boat's supply of tea. Chuckling to himself he surreptitiously dumps it overboard. Savvy notices, however, and asks him what it is. The quick thinking Iron Wolf replies "poisonous herbs", shocked by this, the naive Lunar then helps him dump the tea overboard...
Soon after, they are on their way to Nexus at last.

22nd Ascending Water
The smell of Nexus greets the Companions long before it comes into sight. They hastily try to remove as many Guild paraphernalia and markings as they can. This is probably a bit late, given the amount of river traffic.
Phinnae captains the boat easily into a berth at the Nexus Pool. Once docked, everyone packs what little belongings they have and Scarred becomes Easily Overlooked in order to keep the giant Orichalcum Bow hidden. Then they make their way to the Teahouse of 7000 Pleasures.
Phinnae flies there as a condor and once in human form again she knocks on the door of the Teahouse, having arrived hours before everyone else. Madame Wang answers. The old woman looks a bit surprised to see Phinnae all by herself, and asks as to the whereabouts of the others.
In her characteristically uncharismatic manner, Phinnae says it's none of the old woman's business, then bluntly demands to see Rosa. Madame Wang informs her that Rosa departed for her home months ago. Phinnae then asks for a bath. And a new change of clothes!
Madame Wang agrees that the barbarian smells quite strongly and leads Phinnae through several corridors of giggles behind closed doors to a well appointed room. Phinnae demands Madame Wang tell Taros that the others are on their way. Madame Wang refuses politely, saying that Master Taros is in Firewander at present. Phinnae pauses for a second to consider this, then tells Madame Wang to get rooms and tea ready for everyone.
Walking through the busy and overcrowded streets of Nexus, Jade Wisdom takes pleasure in explaining (and warning about) the city to Perfect Butterfly, as she has come to be known.
A large, well built man brings Phinnae some hot water and fresh clothes. While he is in her room, trapped some might say, she asks him about recent events in Nexus. He says Master Taros, Captain Baos and Mistress Incomparable Hammer have been working on a large project, but he doesn't know what that project is.
The others arrive at last at the well appointed foyer and are met by the gracious Madame Wang. Savvy enquires after Phinnae and Taros, and is told that though Phinnae is here, Taros is regrettably not. Madame Wang then leads them all to well appointed guest rooms.
They all spot a large, well built man leaving another room in a hurry with a concerned look upon his face. Phinnae can be heard beyond the door saying she was only trying to say thankyou!
Half an hour later or so, Madame Wang gets Phinnae from her room and leads her to a lush lounge replete with tasty snacks gentle music and several varieties of tea from around Creation. Soon after Phinnae has gotten comfortable, the rest arrive. Jade Wisdom 's eyes light up upon spotting the tea and he sips it with relish and delight. After devouring the exquisit snacks, Perfect Butterfly, Savvy and ex-slave girls all go to a communal bathroom. Jade Wisdom and the sailors then do likewise.
Around mid-afternoon everyone is refreshed, relaxed, re-clothed and reclining back in the lounge.
Then Scarred reappears, dirty, dishevelled and smelling like a brewery full of pig-swill. Despite this the others make small talk with him and fill him in on the news, such as it is, about Taros. Savvy asks Feral to tell more about Nexus and its laws and customs, as the girl grew up in the city. While she speaks, Scarred and the sailors get quite drunk, before eventually, the sailors take their leave, getting paid by Madame Wang on the way out.
The night passes uneventfully, and very comfortably.

Added links to the first age exalts and linked other NPCs to my pages. - Bencyclopedia
Trying some organisational changes. If anyone has a better idea, I'd love to see it! :) Will leave the last couple of days in game time (or game sessions) up on this page and archive off the others on a rolling schedule (alternatively, one of you lot can do that too if you feel so inclined, just copy how I've done it. Each Archived day will usually be fairly short to read, has it's own comments section and should be easy to build off, but one thing I'm wary of is losing exactly what the party of misfits has learned. If it's archived away who's to say what day they learned the specific bit of info you're looking for to recall... hm... wordy sentences for the win tonight! Maybe each date should have a reminder about that day? So like: 16th Descending Wood - Nexus, quartet met, alley thugs, Taros intro. - nikink
- Perhaps you could just have this page be a timeline with a brief rundown of each day + the calander with the links off to the more detailed descriptions. Possibly just have the most recent game or two on here as well, to act as a memory tickler if needed. - Bencyclopedia
- I'm pretty sure you just said what I said... :) nikink
- Quite possibly, I just did it less wordy :P Bencyclopedia
