=== 26th Ascending Air ===

Jade Wisdom takes Savvy and the girls on a historical tour again, while Phinnae takes the supplies back to the yacht. Scarred wakes up and then goes for a walk. (Yeah he didn't vomit) - Muzz

Jade Wisdom leads his ad-hoc pupils to the Southern Tombs in order to demonstrate to Savvy that even Southern Cultures sometimes send their dead for Sijanese treatment. It's educational for the Lunar tribes-woman, but not very exciting. As evening comes her attention wanders and as the Jadeborn wanders off on another long winded spiel about stonework and peoples long past she finds herself wandering off in another direction. It takes some time for her to realise that she and her followers are a little lost. Jade Wisdom, engrossed in his lesson, also doesn't notice for some time. Fortunately, Groany was able to get directions from passers-by and the two parties meet up again soon after, and head back to the hotel.

=== 27th Ascending Air ===

The mismatched Circle decides to go back to the "Roll of the Dead", and a few short hours later they once again enter through the creaky doors. The Man (Who's name I have forgotten), tells them that he has uncovered seven potential "Su-Chi" candidates. Somewhat crestfallen, the Circle asks for the scroll of information and tomb co-ordinates. After having a brief look, they realise that the tomb locations are hidden by a Sijanese Morticioans Guild cipher of pictographs, so they need to hire a guide. Conveniently, the old man is still standing there. Upon being asked for a guide, he smiles and suggests ''Master Wu'' as an excellent choice at a reasonable price. They agree and are soon met by a perfunctory old man in dark robes who takes their map and leads them through the twisted streets.

It takes over an hour to get to the first tomb, and on the way Jade Wisdom once again starts up a conversation about Sijanese Art and Architecture. This time, though, there is Master Wu to discuss the topic with, much to the enjoyment of both.
+
=== '''22nd Ascending Water''' ===

Upon arrival they see that it is the Tomb of ''Heset Su Chi''. It is a modest Tomb, by Sijanese standards, and Jade Wisdom deduces that it is not old enough, only dating back to  the Late Shogunate period, give or take. Frustrated, they then continue on to the next tomb.
+
The smell of Nexus greets the Companions long before it comes into sight. They hastily try to remove as many Guild paraphernalia and markings as they can. This is probably a bit late, given the amount of river traffic.

On the way, the Jadeborn is hugged by the naughty Solar who makes him do bad things...
+
Phinnae captains the boat easily into a berth at the Nexus Pool. Once docked, everyone packs what little belongings they have and Scarred becomes Easily Overlooked in order to keep the giant Orichalcum Bow hidden. Then they make their way to the Teahouse of 7000 Pleasures.

A couple of hours later and Savvy and the girls are cold, as the sun has a hard time penetrating the maze of alleyways. But the Tomb of ''Garm Su Chi'' stands before them. This tomb od bigger and more of a mausoleum, with many entombed family members and associated entourages. Again, they conclude it is the wrong tomb. It seems that Garm was a Shogunate ruler from the Hundred Kingdoms region.
+
Phinnae flies there as a condor and once in human form again she knocks on the door of the Teahouse, having arrived hours before everyone else. Madame ''Wang'' answers. The old woman looks a bit surprised to see Phinnae all by herself, and asks as to the whereabouts of the others.

They consider hurrying to the next tomb, but decide it is getting too close to nightfall to make it there and then back to the hotel in time. So agreeing to start afresh the next day they head back to the hotel.
+
In her characteristically uncharismatic manner, Phinnae says it's none of the old woman's business, then bluntly demands to see Rosa. Madame Wang informs her that Rosa departed for her home months ago. Phinnae then asks for a bath. And a new change of clothes!

 +
Madame Wang agrees that the barbarian smells quite strongly and leads Phinnae through several corridors of giggles behind closed doors to a well appointed room. Phinnae demands Madame Wang tell Taros that the others are on their way. Madame Wang refuses politely, saying that Master Taros is in Firewander at present. Phinnae pauses for a second to consider this, then tells Madame Wang to get rooms and tea ready for everyone.

----

They meet Master Wu at the Roll of the Dead once again, soon after dawn. The old man then leads them along the circuitous route to the Tombe of ''Su Chi''. This tomb is a very long way down the valley, indicating it's great age. Also, as they decend the daylight slowly disappears, unable to reach this far beneath the ancient city constructions. Torchlight and Candles are lit at semi regular intervals to help illuminate this region. When they arrive at the location described by the co-ordinates, Master Wu is confused as there is nothing but a blank stone wall where the entrance should be. Savvy and Scarred ask him to go back and double check his co-ordinates, and despite his minor protestations that nothing like this has ever happened before, he wanders back up the hill towards the distant Roll of the Dead.
+
Walking through the busy and overcrowded streets of Nexus, Jade Wisdom takes pleasure in explaining (and warning about) the city to ''Perfect Butterfly'', as she has come to be known.
 +
----

The three of them notice another old man walking through the misty darkness towards them. The man's staff clicks loudly among the stonework. Jade Wisdom's Essence sight shows the man has an unusual aura, as though it is missing bits. The trio watch as the Old Man slowly walks towards them, and the stumbles into Scarred who manages to catch him before he hits the ground. With a small nod and smaile the Old Man then continues along the cobbled path until out of sight and then out of earshot. This seems a bit weird.
+
A large, well built man brings Phinnae some hot water and fresh clothes. While he is in her room, trapped some might say, she asks him about recent events in Nexus. He says Master Taros, Captain Baos and Mistress Incomparable Hammer have been working on a large project, but he doesn't know what that project is.

Scarred then notices a note in his hand. He thinks this is odd because he can't remember picking it up from anywhere, and certainly not writing it. Jade Wisdom and Savvy remind him about the Old Man who just walked by. Scarred rolls to disbelieve... Shaking his head, he suggests it must have been planted on him by Master Wu. Jade Wisdom is sure the Solar has gone soft (er in the head from all the alcohol and tries to explain once more about the Old Man who stumbled. Scarred can't recall Master Wu stumbling, and neither can Savvy, but they agree it must be the only option.  Looking at Savvy in amazement (hidden by a Myrmidon helmet), Jade Wisdom aruges again saying that Savvy just saw the Old Man and it wasn't Master Wu. Again the Lunar and Solar point out that there was no other old man, so logically Master Wu must have been the one to plant the note.
+
----

Jade Wisdom is certain that there must be something in the air slowly poisoning the minds of these Exalted heroes, and is glad for his enclosed armour. He also thinks they have both gone mad... well... madder. He sighs a mighty deep voiced sigh.

They inspect the note. It has a poem on it. A warning about the tomb of Su Chi. It seems ominous.

Looking around the wall they see that the adjacent tomb belongs to ''Resplendent Javelin'', and then they notice the wall is hollow behind it!

Deciding that tomb-robbing in front of Master Wu would be a bad idea, they take a few minutes to discuss their options, given they had planned on meeting Master Wu back here. Savvy (or was it Scarred?) suggests that when Master Wu gets back, that they go with him to another tomb and pretend that is the one they are after. Then they can come back to this one having thrown off suspicion.

They then wonder what they can do regarding the ghosts that may be in the tomb, and conclude there is not much they can do. So it will be difficult.

Wanting to check the wall more thoroughly, Jade Wisdom focusses on his natural affinity to Earth and Stone. Feeling the power of the Great Maker coursing through him he gets remarkably more skilled at all things involving stonework and earthenware... He then realises they could just disassemble the wall to get past, if only they had the tools. And reassemble it behind them even. Improvising, he uses Savvy's Heaven Thunder Leaves to chisel and pry apart some of the stone blocks.

Two hours later, there is a hole large enough for the three of them to squeeze through.

They ask Bitchy, Groany and Feral to stand watch and greet Master Wu upon his return. Giggity. And then they enter the darkened antechamber beyond the wall. Jade Wisdom thanks the Great Maker once again as his Charm and Myrmidon visor make the darkness as nothing to him. Thinking briefly Scarred ignites his anima to create some light. They see just in front of them stairs leading down and bravely take this easy and obvious path.

At the bottom of the stairs is a giant stone door. Fortunately it opens easily. It leads to a chamber some 10 yards tall by 10 yards across by 10 yards deep. In the middle of the room is a giant stone sculpture of an unfeatured man standing above a cage. In the statue's hands rests a metal rope attached to the top of the cage.

Undaunted, the drunken Solar staggers into the cage and channels some essence through it. Nothing happens. He tries commanding it to go down, but again the cage remains unmoving. Jade Wisdom tells Scarred the Old Realm word for 'Down' and the cage moves slightly as the statue tries to move but cannot. Looking over it, the Jadeborn can see that it is stuck and needs some minor repair work and materials to regain movement.

The trio head back upstairs. They decide that Jade Wisdom will get the needed supplies while the Exalts stay with the girls to talk to Master Wu. That said, the Jadeborn runs as fast as he can to get to the markets after replacing the stone blocks in the wall once more. Fortunately, he does not get lost, and manages to procure the necessary stuffs.

Savvy and Scarred bicker while waiting...

...---^---...

Meanwhile, back at the yacht, Phinnae decides that she should go looking for the others now the supplies have been stowed and the yacht maintained. She becomes a moosilver tattooed Condor once more and flies high above the city. Looking down she easily spots the glowing Caste Mark of Scarred and flies down to meet him.

Once she has become human again, Savvy explains the events of the day. Roughly. Phinnae then enters the tomb to wait for Jade Wisdm to return while Savvy and Scarred and the girls lead Master Wu astray with cunning deception.

No sooner had Phinnae entered the tomb and replaced the stonework than Master Wu arrives. He apologises and insists that this is the place where the tomb should be according to the records. Savvy tells him not to worry about it, they wish to continue looking at the other tombs. The old man nods and leads them once more through the maze of alleys and paths. Soon after he looks around and is startled to find his tourists have all disappeared.

After waiting for a while, Phinnae lights her caste mark in the darkness and by it's silvery light descends the stairs to the cage room. She recognises the statue as an Automaton.

Savvy and SCarred get back to the walland call out for Phinnae. No response is forthcoming.

Phinnae calls out for Jade Wisdom, and is surprised to get no response. She tries asking the statue, "Can you please lift the cage?" but the statue remains immobile. She starts to get frustrated and climbs onto the statue. Then jumping down she climbs into the cage. When nothing happens she gets out and tries to lift the cage herself, channeling anough essence into her muscles that her Anima goes Iconic and the darkness is banished from the room. But to no avail as the cage steadfastly refuses to budge.

Savvy and Scarred both notice a silvery glow escaping from cracks between the stone blocks of the wall. Calling out for Phinnae again, they are answered by the phrustrated phull-moon.

After a few minutes they finish explaining what Phinnae had phorgotten so phast. Then they mention it's getting late and they should get back to the hotel before nightfall and the ghosts.

"What ghosts?" asks the Full Moon.

They explain the ghosts of Sijan again to the confused Lunar... then they wonder what to do about her Anima bonfire. They conclude that she can always wait until it has died down and then fly to the hotel, but they must start wlking back now or else risk not making it in time.

Some hours later her Anima fades and Phinnae escapes from the tomb and flies to the hotel.

Upon arrival at the hotel she is greeted by the others and Jade Wisdom making a cup of tea.

=== 1st Resplendent Air ===

The group arises in the morning and travels back to the tomb.  Apparently they are almost flat broke.  Savvy's ladies of the night remain behind to par take in the time honoured tradition of pillow fighting.

As they travel through the alley to the wall they fill Phinnae in on yesterdays events ... old man, note etc ( some details are argued about).

Jade Wisdom uses his mighty craft skills to fix the automaton and tests it out.  Low and behold it works!

Jade Wisdom descends into the darkness.

Phinnae realises she's not at the hotel anymore!?

Jade Wisdom says "UP" in Old Realm as soon as it hits the bottom, so they all hop aboard and go down.

They are in a wide cavern, with a low ceiling and musty air.  It is pitch black except for the glow given off by Caste marks.  A perfectly smooth stone wall stands 15m away.  A stone wall, with a stone door.  Jade Wisdom approaches.  As he draws closer he is overcome by a mind, numbingly tiredness.  He turns around and goes back to stand with the others.

Scarred, ever the foolish one, disbelieves the great wisdom of the Artisan's findings.  He walks toward the doors.  Gets tired.  Makes attempts to not look tired and goes to sleep near the door.  Savvy also tries to approach the doors and she gets half way before sitting down to take a nap.  Phinnae meanwhile braces the wall.

Jade Wisdom drags Savvy and Scarred back.

At Scarred's suggestion, once the Solar rouses once more, Jade Wisdom asking the doors to open in Old Realm. This is not effective.  Scarred shines his Solar Caste mark at the doors with no effect either.

Phinnae decides to fire an elegant arrow at the doors and only succeeds in taking a chink out of the mighty stone.

Scarred investigates the walls in the gloom and finds only more rock and dirt.

Savvy tries to use Heaven Thunder Leaves to attract a god, but to no avail.

Jade Wisdom focuses his willpower and trudges to the door, ignoring the overwhelming desire to sleep. Scarred manages to follow the Jadeborn's example, mostly out of spite, and together they open the doors. The Lunars follow the example just set and are soon across.

Remembering the note the old man gave them the adventurers enter a second room, ten yards cubed. At the opposite end of the room there are three mighty statues in front of another set of doors, each holding a giant stone hammer.

Oh No!  More Automatons and more doors.

Savvy approaches the door and reaches out and touches them.  This appears to upset the closest of the Statues and it swings its giant hammer at her.

Savvy, parries, parries, then becomes a Deadly Beastman and tries to disarm the stone monstrosity. Alas with no success.

Jade Wisdom activates Black Jade Transformation.

Phinnae springs into action with her Relentless Lunar Fury.  Pouncing onto the head of the statue and stabs at it with her ... arrow??? ... she's wishing she had some sort of melee weapon now.  But she's in her Deadly Beastman Form now too and hopes she'll have some success.  Alas the arrow is parried but skewers the statue in the head anyway.

Scarred runs up its hammer and puts his fist into its face in an awesome, if foolhardy, move.  It doesn't notice or care.

The first statue swings at Savvy and she skillfully blocks with her Golden Tiger Stance.

A second statue is now activated and comes to the firsts aid.  It swings at Phinnae still perched on the head of the first.  She jumps up to the ceiling to back flip but is caught by the massive hammer.  A solid crunch to her side.

Statue three swings at Scarred who tries to dodge " I wasn't there understanding "  Statue three runs into statue one.

Jade Wisdom swings twice and cracks statue number two in each knee.  Cracks start to appear.

Savvy furies up and tries to dismember statue one with fans.  Ping! A chip flies off.
+
The others arrive at last at the well appointed foyer and are met by the gracious Madame Wang. Savvy enquires after Phinnae and Taros, and is told that though Phinnae is here, Taros is regrettably not. Madame Wang then leads them all to well appointed guest rooms.

Phinnae leaps up and back and fires an arrow at statue two.  It whistles by its ear.
+
They all spot a large, well built man leaving another room in a hurry with a concerned look upon his face. Phinnae can be heard beyond the door saying she was only trying to say thankyou!

Jade Wisdom leaps  up and brings ''Witty Retort'' down on statue two's head for a solid clang.
+
Half an hour later or so, Madame Wang gets Phinnae from her room and leads her to a lush lounge replete with tasty snacks gentle music and several varieties of tea from around Creation. Soon after Phinnae has gotten comfortable, the rest arrive. Jade Wisdom 's eyes light up upon spotting the tea and he sips it with relish and delight. After devouring the exquisit snacks, Perfect Butterfly, Savvy and ex-slave girls all go to a communal bathroom. Jade Wisdom and the sailors then do likewise.

Scarred runs up statue three and jumps off to kick punch statue one ... and misses!
+
Around mid-afternoon everyone is refreshed, relaxed, re-clothed and reclining back in the lounge.

Jade Wisdom scoots between the legs of statue three and hammers it back. It shatters in a shower of stone and magical materials. Yay!!
+
Then Scarred reappears, dirty, dishevelled and smelling like a brewery full of pig-swill. Despite this the others make small talk with him and fill him in on the news, such as it is, about Taros. Savvy asks Feral to tell more about Nexus and its laws and customs, as the girl grew up in the city. While she speaks, Scarred and the sailors get quite drunk, before eventually, the sailors take their leave, getting paid by Madame Wang on the way out.

Savvy slides through the legs of statue one and slices three times. Ping! Sparks! Ping! Chip! Ping! Chunk!
+
The night passes uneventfully, and very comfortably.

Statue one hits Phinnae solidly again.  Kerrrunck! She should learn to duck better.

Statue two swings at Jade Wisdom and misses, cracking the floor.  He brings the Hammer up into statue two's belly in rapid succession for two solid blows.

Jade Wisdom brings Witty Retort in red arc into two powerful hits that shatter statue two's mid section.  Yay!!!

Scarred spins around to uppercut statue one and connects, but for no damage.

Savvy pirouettes into whirling death - Miss! Miss! Chink! Chink! Chink!

Jade Wisdom appears in the rain of stone chips and cracks statue one over the head, knocking it off ... Yay!!!

Phinnae and Savvy are still Furious, but calm down quickly.

Savvy and Jade Wisdom push open the door, and luckily avoid the sheer drop.

Phinnae shoots an arrow across the gaping maw.  It chicks and falls only a little way.  It appears to be hanging in mid air. She flies across.  Her feet find purchase on an invisible ledge.

The ledge is about three metres long.  Savvy turns into a bird and flies across the pit ( 200m deep ).  Phinnae picks up Scarred and flies him across.  Then strips Jade Wisdom to his ''Rumour of Glory'' and flies him, his armour and weapons across separately.

Jade Wisdom examines the ledge and believes it to be made of Adamant.

Scarred and Savvy push door open.

...---^---...

Behind the stone doors lies yet another room ten yards to the side and ceiling. This room is incredibly ornate, with many bas-reliefs gilded and glittering in the Exalts' animas. The left of the room depicts battles and wars, while the right show wonders being built or created. There are two large sarcophagi in the middle of the room, one towards the wars, one towards the crafting scenes.

Trying not to appear too excited, Jade Wisdom begins investigating the battles side. The focus of all the scenes is a large man in a suit of magnificent golden armour. Obviously ''Su Chi''.

Savvy looks around the crafting side. The Exalt depicted there is slender and beautiful.

The Solar gets straight to the point and tries to dislodge the battles sarcophagus but it is too heavy for him alone and he asks everyone else to lend their aid. This also fails to work. Some investigation indicates a magical lock and Scarred grins with triumph as he uses Lock-Opening Touch upon it.

The weary party are able to push the lid off with an echoing thud but before they can celebrate something swings at Scarred's head. The Solar easily dodges despite his surprise and the thing reveals itself as a large clawed arm attached to a very angry ghost.

Realising it is immaterial, and thus immune to his attacks, the Jadeborn goes into a defensive crouch behind ''Resolute Denial''. Savvy grows her Claws of the Silver Moon as Jade Wisdom begins slowly backing away from the creature. Scarred starts masturbating and cavorting around like a drunken fool as he activates Orgiastic Fugitive Form. Phinnae is still too taken aback to react.

The ghost claws wildly at the slightly stunned Lunar girl. She backflips to the centre of the room in an attempt to avoid its deadly attack but it manages to gouge a deep channel into the flesh of her legs and she collapses with a girly scream! Seeing his friend collapse, Jade Wisdom risks rushing in to attack the ghost and distract it away from Phinnae. He reasons that perhaps if it can harm the material world, then maybe the material can harm it! Aas, his goremaul merely whistles through the air and through the ghost, doing no harm. The attack does serve to gain its attention though.

Savvy edges close to the open coffin and sneaks a look within. A golden bow is resting gently upon the desiccated corpse! Feeling victorious, she lunges forward to remove it, and is startled to discover how heavy it is! She quickly remembers the properties of Artifacts, both attuned and not, and is crestfallen to think it would take her at least 20 minutes to attune to it properly. Fortunately Jade Wisdom sees her predicament as he backs away from the enraged ghost, and comes to the same conclusion as the Lunar. But the Great Maker blessed the Mountain Folk with some of his grace, so Jade Wisdom dashes to Savvy's side and utilises his Great Maker's Grasp on it, instantly forcing attunement, although draining his already small essence reserves.

As the Artisan has his back turned the ghost punches its ghastly claws through ''Ascending Fire Unit 17'' and drawing blood. As Jade Wisdom staggers forward he calls out "Destroy the body! Destroy the body!" into the echoing room. Scarred hears this and leaps into the open sarcophagus and hammers down a mighty punch with his Orichalcum smashfists into the body's chest, shattering all the ancient ribs in one blow.

As Jade Wisdom tries once more to lure the ghost after himself, and away from the others, Savvy crushes the withered and dusty skull of the corpse. The Jadeborn tries to use the golden bow, hoping it has some ability to affect the immaterial, but his arrow flies through ghost as ineffective as the rest of his weaponry. It does enrage the ghost some more, however, and it rushes forward to attack him again. Fortunately Jade Wisdom is able to duck and weave away from the frenzied attack.

Seeing that bodily destruction was not working, Scarred gets an idea. He splashes some spirits from his golden gourd over the corpse then punches the side of the stone sarcophagus to create some sparks. These sparks ignite the spirits with a blue, nearly invisible, flame. Savvy quickly jumps out of the sarcophagus before the flames engulf her as well!

The ghost clutches at Jade Wisdom as he tries to retreat yet again. The claws are barely turned aside by ''Resolute Denial''. Jade Wsidom cries out for the others to make the fire burn faster in a voice betraying his rising panic.

Scarred runs to Phinnae's prone form and tries to pick her up, but the Western Juggernaut is too much for the inebriated Solar to carry alone. He calls to Savvy to help him and she leaps to his side as the ghost once again lunges at Jade Wisdom. This time Jade Wisdom backs into the wall and throws himself sideways causing the ghost's grappling to go awry and carry the creature through the bas-relief.

Scarred and Savvy manage to drag Phinnae to the door to the chamber as Jade Wisdom runs to the centre of the room to keep a wary eye on all the walls for the ghost's return. Then Scarred sees that the fire has died down and rushes over to pour more alcohol into the stone crucible.

The trio wait nervously for the ghost to reappear or the flames to destroy the body completely.

Suddenly the hungry ghost comes running towards Jade Wisdom who only just manages to dodge its frenzied attack. Once again the Jadeborn begins backing away from the creature to lead it away from the Exalts.

Savvy tries to move Phinnae on her own but fails, as Jade Wisdom starts backing away from the ghost towards the doorway she is in. Once again the ghost slashes at the scared Artisan, and once again fails to land a blow. As Jade Wisdom gets ever closer, Savvy finally gives a mighty heave and manages to drag Phinnae into the room, away from the doorway.

Jade Wisdom gasps with pain as the ghost manages to finally pierce his armour while he continues leading it outside. He is attacked again and yet again, but no further slashes connect, while Scarred desperately feeds yet more fuel into the sarcophagus to keep the bones burning.

The hungry ghost keeps attacking Jade Wisdom as it is lead out onto the adamant ledge. Jade Wisdom is glad for his armoured helm as his face betrays his rising fear and disappointment that the ghost can leave the chamber. But then Jade Wisdom becomes aware that the creature is becoming more solid as he leads it further from the room! Finally feeling some hope, he tries to manoeuvre the ghost off the ledge. This slight over-confidence causes Jade Wisdom to misstep and the ghost manages to slice his arm. At last, though, the ghost is fully materialised and the duo attack simultaneously - ''Witty Retort'' blurring through the air as the ghost screeches and tears at Jade Wisdom one last time. There's a satisfying thump as the ghost's head is knocked clean off its shoulders and ricochets off the wall and into the cavernous pit below.

Jade Wisdom is relieved.

He re-enters the room. Scarred and Savvy come over and examine the bow. they all agree it looks to be the right one.

Over the course of the next three hours, Jade Wisdom heals and gives an enlightening and instructive lecture about the scenes shown around the walls. And also the type of stone used. And the style of chiselling involved at that period. Scarred gets quite drunk and is bored out of his head at the sound of Jade Wisdom's voice. Savvy is more polite and at least feigns an interest while she watches over Phinnae. Phinnae is probably glad she is unconscious at this stage.

After the three hous, Phinnae does manage to rouse. The others tell of what happened and their new plan to investigate, and steal from, the other sarcophagus. Phinnae immediately flies to the ceiling to stay safe, but then comes down again as Scarred realises he would be the best person to attune to the Golden Bow. Jade Wisdom gladly hands the Powerbow to the Solar, and they all wait another twenty minutes for the attunement to occur.

Then they all get into position. Phinnae once more taking to the ceiling, the others around the sarcophagus. Scarred uses his Lock-Opening Touch once more andthe lid is pushed off with another echoing thud.

Surprise attack! A clawed hand swipes at Savvy scratches her arm. Jade Wisdom looks within the coffin and spies a length of cord some two feet long. It is clearly magical so he grabs it and uses his Artificer's Insight to discover it is a wondrous triumph of magical creation of a utilitarian nature. He calls out to the others, "Flee!" as the hungry ghost comes out swinging at him in deadly imitation of the first ghost. One of its claws sneak past the Myrmidon Armour and Jade Wisdom can feel its icy caress over his ribs. The Artisan starts backing away in another dance of taunt and guard.

Scarred runs out of the chamber and along the adamant ledge. As he reaches the end of the nigh invisible construction he spins and punches a handhold into the rock wall of the cavern. Without glancing back he starts descending the smooth stonework, leaving handholds all the way.

Savvy runs out of the chamber door and becomes a bird to fly across the chasm while Jade Wisdom continues his guarded retreat.

Phinnae swoops down from the ceiling, skimming over the ghost and grabbing ''Witty Retort'' and ''Resolute Denial' from the Jadeborn. She then soars across the chasm and dumps the artifacts next to the crumbled Automatons. Upon doing this she remembers that Jade Wisdom is a bit useless at crossing the chasm on his own, and realises that if she activates her Full Moon Anima she will be twice as strong and twice as fast and thus able to carry him in one trip! Her thoughts become action as she shoots back towards the nervous, feeling-kinda-naked-in-a-bad-way Artisan.

The hungry ghost edges closer to Jade Wisdom looking for an opening. It can sense his fear...

The Solar is about a quarter of the way down when he remembers just how deep the cavern is, and changes course to edge around sideways along the wall.

With its prey against the drop the ghost lunges in for the kill but is put off balance as Jade Wisdom dashes forward past it running to the other end of the adamant ledge. Again the Jadeborn can feel the claws caress his skin on the way past.

Savvy arrives at last at the other room barely avoiding the speeding Phinnae as she lands. Scarred can feel the rush of air around him from Phinnae's flight as he continues around the wall, blow by blow.

Jade Wsidom reaches the very far edge of the ledge and stands warily watching the ghost come after him and Phinnae flying towards him. As the ghost comes running in, the almost panicking Artisan leaps into the air towards the oncoming Lunar. Time slows down for him as he starts to scream with his arms outstretched and legs kicking wildly in the air... then with a triumphant cry Phinnae catches him and carries him to safety on the other side. Jade Wisdom is quite relieved...

22nd Ascending Water

The smell of Nexus greets the Companions long before it comes into sight. They hastily try to remove as many Guild paraphernalia and markings as they can. This is probably a bit late, given the amount of river traffic.

Phinnae flies there as a condor and once in human form again she knocks on the door of the Teahouse, having arrived hours before everyone else. Madame Wang answers. The old woman looks a bit surprised to see Phinnae all by herself, and asks as to the whereabouts of the others.

In her characteristically uncharismatic manner, Phinnae says it's none of the old woman's business, then bluntly demands to see Rosa. Madame Wang informs her that Rosa departed for her home months ago. Phinnae then asks for a bath. And a new change of clothes!

Walking through the busy and overcrowded streets of Nexus, Jade Wisdom takes pleasure in explaining (and warning about) the city to Perfect Butterfly, as she has come to be known.

The others arrive at last at the well appointed foyer and are met by the gracious Madame Wang. Savvy enquires after Phinnae and Taros, and is told that though Phinnae is here, Taros is regrettably not. Madame Wang then leads them all to well appointed guest rooms.

They all spot a large, well built man leaving another room in a hurry with a concerned look upon his face. Phinnae can be heard beyond the door saying she was only trying to say thankyou!

Around mid-afternoon everyone is refreshed, relaxed, re-clothed and reclining back in the lounge.

Trying some organisational changes. If anyone has a better idea, I'd love to see it! :) Will leave the last couple of days in game time (or game sessions) up on this page and archive off the others on a rolling schedule (alternatively, one of you lot can do that too if you feel so inclined, just copy how I've done it. Each Archived day will usually be fairly short to read, has it's own comments section and should be easy to build off, but one thing I'm wary of is losing exactly what the party of misfits has learned. If it's archived away who's to say what day they learned the specific bit of info you're looking for to recall... hm... wordy sentences for the win tonight! Maybe each date should have a reminder about that day? So like: 16th Descending Wood - Nexus, quartet met, alley thugs, Taros intro. - nikink

Perhaps you could just have this page be a timeline with a brief rundown of each day + the calander with the links off to the more detailed descriptions. Possibly just have the most recent game or two on here as well, to act as a memory tickler if needed. - Bencyclopedia
I'm pretty sure you just said what I said... :) nikink
Quite possibly, I just did it less wordy :P Bencyclopedia
