Would it be way too ambitious to try a comics style ongoing story? I know I'm crap at art, though I could probably manage something. Ik, I know you draw. Are there other takers to do writer/drawer combo signups for sessions or individuals who want to do drawing and writing for episodes? SandJack

Narrative art is, in my experience, fairly difficult to pull off unless you are an actual cartoonist. I'm not sure that we count many actual cartoonists among our number.

I certainly wouldn't discourage people from drawing stuff based on stories here, though. We could make a page to link to such art.\\ _Ikselam

I personally think that it would be loads of fun. The problem would be that you would need to find someone, either as the writer or artist, whose vision of the story was the same as yours-- someone you work well enough with to where the art (and the frame "rate", that kind of thing) matches the mood. I can't think of any "dynamic duos" like that on the Wiki, although some cartoonists and writers have done some great collaboration elsewhere. (Penny Arcade comes to mind for the web; the Catwoman comics come to mind as well, but then, a part of me is probably always thinking about Catwoman comics. --Dissolvegirl)

Hm. I can't help but think of Gaiman and Sandman. Or really comic book writers for any multiple book series. A good deal of the time, they don't use the same artist from issue to issue, and still keep the story together. I admit you need good collaboration between artist and writer, but I don't really think it's a "Duo" per se. If we could get a bunch of people who'd do art and a bunch of people who'd write scripts, hypothetically, a system could be set up where people sign up to write scripts, and after the script is posted for the upcoming chapter, people could sign up to draw it. I think the real problem is a lack of artists who'd be willing to participate (It seems we don't have a shortage of brave writers, but comics are whole new animals, and that might be a problem too.\\

\\ By the by, when we mean "comics" style, are we talking strips or books/graphic novels. EJGRgunner
