Description
Wendai toed the edge of human potential during her time as Royal Guardswoman of Harborhead. Restless and at loose ends as a discharged soldier, her exaltation has returned her to the role of a semi-divine warrior serving a mighty deity. She sees her duty to the Unconquered Sun as restoring the Solar Exalted to their dominion as Princes of Creation, and believes that only the Sun's Chosen can defend Creation from the many threats of the Second Age. In the process of such a rectification, she hopes to free the tribes of her native Harborhead from the suzerainty of Dragon-Blooded.
She is also prepared to undertake any number of atrocities to accomplish these goals. Wendai has known war, and she has participated in the slaughter and plunder of “others.” While her Circle has become her new tribe and the Solar Exalted a new nation, she remains prepared to oversee butchery of outsiders in the name of military efficacy.
Since her Exaltation, odd moods have come over her, and on occasion she finds herself feeling a fearless contempt for her enemies. She worries that this may yet interfere with her good judgment.
Normally, her self-confidence leaves her even-tempered in her dealings with others and friendly with those whom she acknowledges as peers. Of her Circle-mates, she admires Holvic Kagi for his dedication to the Way of the Sword and to the Unconquered Sun. If she finds his idealism naïve, it is also endearing. She respects the raw potential that Dawning Daughter embodies, but the younger woman’s constant competitiveness and refusal to treat her as an elder sets Wendai on edge. She has little patience with Passic Taut's reluctance to take human life, but finds Fia fascinating due the utterly different nature of the other woman’s life. As she enters into her thirties, Wendai will discover that that Creation offers beautiful possibilities, the likes of which she has never dreamt.

Wendai is used to fighting as a small-unit leader and stays close to her sisters whenever possible. She is a skilled, well-rounded fighter, though it will take her time to realize that her charms have advanced her capabilities to the point that she will often be best served by operating alone.
