Description
Fia is a lover of beauty. She feels its pleasures keenly — intensely aware of the paradoxical tranquility and achingly pure pangs that loveliness brings to its beholders. In an earlier age, her own legendary beauty would have meant a life of giving such joys to those whom she found worthy. Instead, she has known sixteen years of gilded degradation in the sorrowful Second Age.
As a slave-courtesan, her stunning appearance had been the reason for a life in which she was rented to clients who were oft callous and on occasion carefully brutal. Her lovely visage drew the envious slights of other teahouse performers and the scorn of the women and men whose spouses were her patrons. Colbat eyes, ocean-blue hair, and a flawless grace earned her the alien and sometimes painful attention of Great Forks’ gods.
But such beauty was also the vortex in which her serene nature was distilled. She learned to act within the confines of slavery, creating an interesting if melancholy existence amidst the cultural splendor of Great Forks’ villas and Manses. She sharpened her tolerance and employed guile to win over jealous rivals. She became a confidant of divinities and the wealthy, and in time they trusted her to pass along their missives or even prayers. She cultivated her arts and made herself valuable enough to be spared some of the physical humiliation that accompanies a courtesan's life: spending fewer hours on hands and knees as she was employed to honor or placate deities by singing and dancing within their shrines and temples.
Now she is free, and she wishes more than anything to flee the confines of Great Forks, certain that the glory of the Unconquered Sun will burn away the taints of prostitution. Fia is devoutly grateful to her divine patron and is perhaps even more religious than her Zenith circle-mate Holvic Kagi. She knows full well that Sun’s gifts have opened up the possibility of building a world in which none need suffer as she has, and she is determined to use her diplomacy to draw the peoples of Creation into a webwork of harmony.
Though only in her late twenties and possessed of an ageless beauty, there are days on which Fia's heart weeps as only an old woman's can at the cruelty of Creation.

Fia begins the game destitute, with only those items that she had on her person at the time. She generally avoids physical combat, but when forced into a contest of arms she relies on Dreaming Pearl Courtesan’s Pearlescent Filigree Defense to provide her with armor and its Lethal Paper Fan Attack to infuse her fans with Essence. She is a proficient archer from having accompanied clients on hunts outside of Great Forks. Fia was gifted with an orichalcum Hearthstone amulet and a Stone of Quick Thought which grants one additional dice to all Dexterity and Wits roles. These are reflected in parentheses by relevant Attributes, and are already calculated in her attack statistics. Fia also owns an orichalcum Collar of Dawn’s Cleansing Light, shaped as a torc. This artifact ensures her cleanliness and fresh appearance, even if she should crawl through a swamp. This torc adds two dice to all rolls made to resist diseases and poisons
