Terashem, the Floating Citadel
On the legendary Floating Citadel of Terashem:
The First Age Kingdom of Ruvaska was ruled by the Solar, the Enchantress of Nine Ice Swans, of whom few records have survived. There are few references to her flying citadel, a palace which floated in the clouds above her lands in the region of Malachite. As one might expect from a Solar castle, it was said to be a veritable paradise in the Lower Heavens, filled with wonders we can scarcely imagine in this dreary Age of Sorrows.
How Terashem flew is a matter of some dispute. The Honorable Most Learned and Erudite Scholar, Mnemon Venar, claims that the vile Anathema had enslaved several lesser elemental dragons, and cruelly forced them to carry the castle upon their backs. The Scavenger Lord known as Brilliant Falcon suspects summoned demons were used in a similar manner, and my colleague Hrana the Great Librarian of Thorns (may he rest in peace), had theorized that a process was found to solidify clouds into a foundation suitable for construction, while maintaining their natural bouyancy. Calem Ereth of the Engineering Corps of Lookshy has calculated that only three Hearthstones of the fifth tier of potency would be required to lift a castle of the suspected size, but that seems like an unacceptable risk for the always-cautious sage-kings of the First Age.

Considering the wholesale destruction at the end of the First Age (whether one measures it from the Just and Glorious Purge or from the Great Contagion), it is unsurprising that the ruins of Terashem have yet to be identified. If it still existed, surely someone would have claimed it as their own by now.
