Don't put anything in the first big header. Suggest and hash out topics here, and put first drafts under the First Drafts header, which will get moved to the "actual actual text" (under the first big header) when consensus maintains that it's ready to do so. --MUrielw
Random thought I had, stolen from Nobilis.
Circles of Infernals could collectively 'create' the Yozi they hold as their highest master (as, although all Yozi are the masters of all Infernals, one is chosen above the rest). This Yozi could then be created Imperator style, choosing from a list of Advantages and Disadvantages- letting the players customize, to a certain degree, what their Divine Command Theory will be like.
This could also suppliment / replace Anima abilities. DS
- I like it. Of course, different Infernals in the same group should be able to serve different masters, if not because of the mere math, then because it throws in an angle for politicking and secret agendas that can still coexist with Infernal Loyalty. --MUrielw
- I don't think it's a good idea. Here's why: If one of the primary powers of the Infernals is based around a group of players collectively deciding the nature of their patron, then GM's using this as a reference to create NPC antagonist infernals are in a rough spot. If there's anything we can learn from the Fair Folk, it's that it shouldn't be an exercise in masochism to use a book to create an antagonist for the PC's. --Kukla
- It's not really an exercise in masochism in Nobilis. Still, the point is well taken.
- What if roughly, say, half the Yozis are 'statted' up in this regard- so you can easily start as an Infernal in service to the Ebon Dragon, or Malfeus, or Cytheria (sp), or whomever. And for the other half, the Yozi Statting Up System is left in- so players who want to play in the service to the Boar that Rends the Sky, or any of the Yozis from ATaxonomyOfMadness and nowhere else can do so. DS
- That sounds like a good compromise. Kukla
