THIS BELONGS TO CAPTAIN PENGUIN!

What I intend to create here is a set of continuous Abyssal adversaries, like the boss characters in a videogame, in that the Solars (or whatnot) will do Adventure Phase One, then confront one of these, Adventure Phase Two, confront one of these, et cetera. Inspired by the enemy 4 enemy ninjas from Tenchu 2 and from the Cobras from MGS3. Please, if you want, tell me how its working out.

Comments, Suggestions, Questions, Words of Wisdom

I did the same thing with one of my stories. I suggest giving each a unique martial arts style, or a different and weird way of fighting. Have you played the original Metal Gear Solid? One of the best sets of villians ever -Paladinltd

Even assuming you don't want to make them a perfect Abyssal circle (one of each caste), wouldn't it be better to go with the Five Unspeakable Ronin? Exalted has a five thing going on. -Seraph

 -True, true. Ah well. -CaptainPenguin
Just make the first two the lower-Essence Abyssal henchmen of the Circle. - szilard
 -Interesting, interesting... But I dunno'.

I actually intended to have the Faceless and the Hatamoto be more powerful than the others. The Faceless is my answer to Grey Fox, in that he is a mysterious individual somewhat outside the general circle. -CaptainPenguin

Actually, couldn't you have one of them be a lacky, cannon fodder (or, hell, a secret goodguy who turns traitor and dies on the PCs side), and have another ACTUALLY be the deathlord in disguise? Then you could add all sorts of forshadowing (astrology, precognitive dreams, etc) pointing to the Five Unspeakable Ronin and your players will be confused and happy. -Seraph

I think I'll take you up on at least part of that, Seraph- the Hatamoto will be their disgusting undead (or mortal) servant, who they've given a grandiose title in the name of morbid amusement. I'm not sure about the Deathlord part, though... I must think on it. -CaptainPenguin

I like that, too. Dammit! So... Many... Good... Ideas... Aaargh! -CaptainPenguin

If you run out of ideas, go through the Seven Deadly Sins. Gluttony, anger, envy, lust, pride, greed, and sloth. -Qzujak49

Why not just finish out your original thought and then make revisions based on input; too many cooks spoil the broth. -Unknown

I would really enjoy it if people would come and review the ones I already have. If it isn't too much trouble, could somebody give me some input? - CaptainPenguin

How about making The Faceless similar to a sweeper, like Brandon Heat or Bear Walken from Gungrave? -Unknown

The Hatamoto could more of a warhound type character, you know, the Deathlord keeps him chained away from the others due to his uncontrollable bloodlust, releasing him only when total destruction is needed. The Hatamoto...when you absolutely, positively have to kill everybody in the city, accept no substitutes. -Unknown

You have an amazing eye for the dramatic, and I must commend you on your writing for these characters. I havn't much to suggest as yet, but I shall be interested in how they turn out once they are all complete. Also, you should consider watching Inuyasha for the abyssal-group in there.

Thank you! I'm flattered. Unfortunately, I'll have to pass on watching Inu Yasha... I like some anime, but not the kind of Shonen-Jump crap that I believe Inu Yasha to be. But in any case, thank you for your commendations. :) - CaptainPenguin
