26th Ascending Air
Jade Wisdom takes Savvy and the girls on a historical tour again, while Phinnae takes the supplies back to the yacht. Scarred wakes up and then goes for a walk. (Yeah he didn't vomit) - Muzz
Jade Wisdom leads his ad-hoc pupils to the Southern Tombs in order to demonstrate to Savvy that even Southern Cultures sometimes send their dead for Sijanese treatment. It's educational for the Lunar tribes-woman, but not very exciting. As evening comes her attention wanders and as the Jadeborn wanders off on another long winded spiel about stonework and peoples long past she finds herself wandering off in another direction. It takes some time for her to realise that she and her followers are a little lost. Jade Wisdom, engrossed in his lesson, also doesn't notice for some time. Fortunately, Groany was able to get directions from passers-by and the two parties meet up again soon after, and head back to the hotel.
27th Ascending Air
The mismatched Circle decides to go back to the "Roll of the Dead", and a few short hours later they once again enter through the creaky doors. The Man (Who's name I have forgotten), tells them that he has uncovered seven potential "Su-Chi" candidates. Somewhat crestfallen, the Circle asks for the scroll of information and tomb co-ordinates. After having a brief look, they realise that the tomb locations are hidden by a Sijanese Morticioans Guild cipher of pictographs, so they need to hire a guide. Conveniently, the old man is still standing there. Upon being asked for a guide, he smiles and suggests Master Wu as an excellent choice at a reasonable price. They agree and are soon met by a perfunctory old man in dark robes who takes their map and leads them through the twisted streets.
It takes over an hour to get to the first tomb, and on the way Jade Wisdom once again starts up a conversation about Sijanese Art and Architecture. This time, though, there is Master Wu to discuss the topic with, much to the enjoyment of both.
Upon arrival they see that it is the Tomb of Heset Su Chi. It is a modest Tomb, by Sijanese standards, and Jade Wisdom deduces that it is not old enough, only dating back to the Late Shogunate period, give or take. Frustrated, they then continue on to the next tomb.
On the way, the Jadeborn is hugged by the naughty Solar who makes him do bad things...
A couple of hours later and Savvy and the girls are cold, as the sun has a hard time penetrating the maze of alleyways. But the Tomb of Garm Su Chi stands before them. This tomb od bigger and more of a mausoleum, with many entombed family members and associated entourages. Again, they conclude it is the wrong tomb. It seems that Garm was a Shogunate ruler from the Hundred Kingdoms region.
They consider hurrying to the next tomb, but decide it is getting too close to nightfall to make it there and then back to the hotel in time. So agreeing to start afresh the next day they head back to the hotel.
28th Ascending Air
They meet Master Wu at the Roll of the Dead once again, soon after dawn. The old man then leads them along the circuitous route to the Tombe of Su Chi. This tomb is a very long way down the valley, indicating it's great age. Also, as they decend the daylight slowly disappears, unable to reach this far beneath the ancient city constructions. Torchlight and Candles are lit at semi regular intervals to help illuminate this region. When they arrive at the location described by the co-ordinates, Master Wu is confused as there is nothing but a blank stone wall where the entrance should be. Savvy and Scarred ask him to go back and double check his co-ordinates, and despite his minor protestations that nothing like this has ever happened before, he wanders back up the hill towards the distant Roll of the Dead.
The three of them notice another old man walking through the misty darkness towards them. The man's staff clicks loudly among the stonework. Jade Wisdom's Essence sight shows the man has an unusual aura, as though it is missing bits. The trio watch as the Old Man slowly walks towards them, and the stumbles into Scarred who manages to catch him before he hits the ground. With a small nod and smaile the Old Man then continues along the cobbled path until out of sight and then out of earshot. This seems a bit weird.
Scarred then notices a note in his hand. He thinks this is odd because he can't remember picking it up from anywhere, and certainly not writing it. Jade Wisdom and Savvy remind him about the Old Man who just walked by. Scarred rolls to disbelieve... Shaking his head, he suggests it must have been planted on him by Master Wu. Jade Wisdom is sure the Solar has gone soft (er in the head from all the alcohol and tries to explain once more about the Old Man who stumbled. Scarred can't recall Master Wu stumbling, and neither can Savvy, but they agree it must be the only option. Looking at Savvy in amazement (hidden by a Myrmidon helmet), Jade Wisdom aruges again saying that Savvy just saw the Old Man and it wasn't Master Wu. Again the Lunar and Solar point out that there was no other old man, so logically Master Wu must have been the one to plant the note.
Jade Wisdom is certain that there must be something in the air slowly poisoning the minds of these Exalted heroes, and is glad for his enclosed armour. He also thinks they have both gone mad... well... madder. He sighs a mighty deep voiced sigh.
They inspect the note. It has a poem on it. A warning about the tomb of Su Chi. It seems ominous.
Looking around the wall they see that the adjacent tomb belongs to Resplendent Javelin, and then they notice the wall is hollow behind it!
Deciding that tomb-robbing in front of Master Wu would be a bad idea, they take a few minutes to discuss their options, given they had planned on meeting Master Wu back here. Savvy (or was it Scarred?) suggests that when Master Wu gets back, that they go with him to another tomb and pretend that is the one they are after. Then they can come back to this one having thrown off suspicion.
They then wonder what they can do regarding the ghosts that may be in the tomb, and conclude there is not much they can do. So it will be difficult.
Wanting to check the wall more thoroughly, Jade Wisdom focusses on his natural affinity to Earth and Stone. Feeling the power of the Great Maker coursing through him he gets remarkably more skilled at all things involving stonework and earthenware... He then realises they could just disassemble the wall to get past, if only they had the tools. And reassemble it behind them even. Improvising, he uses Savvy's Heaven Thunder Leaves to chisel and pry apart some of the stone blocks.
Two hours later, there is a hole large enough for the three of them to squeeze through.
They ask Bitchy, Groany and Feral to stand watch and greet Master Wu upon his return. Giggity. And then they enter the darkened antechamber beyond the wall. Jade Wisdom thanks the Great Maker once again as his Charm and Myrmidon visor make the darkness as nothing to him. Thinking briefly Scarred ignites his anima to create some light. They see just in front of them stairs leading down and bravely take this easy and obvious path.
At the bottom of the stairs is a giant stone door. Fortunately it opens easily. It leads to a chamber some 10 yards tall by 10 yards across by 10 yards deep. In the middle of the room is a giant stone sculpture of an unfeatured man standing above a cage. In the statue's hands rests a metal rope attached to the top of the cage.
Undaunted, the drunken Solar staggers into the cage and channels some essence through it. Nothing happens. He tries commanding it to go down, but again the cage remains unmoving. Jade Wisdom tells Scarred the Old Realm word for 'Down' and the cage moves slightly as the statue tries to move but cannot. Looking over it, the Jadeborn can see that it is stuck and needs some minor repair work and materials to regain movement.
The trio head back upstairs. They decide that Jade Wisdom will get the needed supplies while the Exalts stay with the girls to talk to Master Wu. That said, the Jadeborn runs as fast as he can to get to the markets after replacing the stone blocks in the wall once more. Fortunately, he does not get lost, and manages to procure the necessary stuffs. Savvy and Scarred bicker while waiting...
...---^---...
Meanwhile, back at the yacht, Phinnae decides that she should go looking for the others now the supplies have been stowed and the yacht maintained. She becomes a moosilver tattooed Condor once more and flies high above the city. Looking down she easily spots the glowing Caste Mark of Scarred and flies down to meet him.
Once she has become human again, Savvy explains the events of the day. Roughly. Phinnae then enters the tomb to wait for Jade Wisdm to return while Savvy and Scarred and the girls lead Master Wu astray with cunning deception.
No sooner had Phinnae entered the tomb and replaced the stonework than Master Wu arrives. He apologises and insists that this is the place where the tomb should be according to the records. Savvy tells him not to worry about it, they wish to continue looking at the other tombs. The old man nods and leads them once more through the maze of alleys and paths. Soon after he looks around and is startled to find his tourists have all disappeared.
After waiting for a while, Phinnae lights her caste mark in the darkness and by it's silvery light descends the stairs to the cage room. She recognises the statue as an Automaton.
Savvy and SCarred get back to the walland call out for Phinnae. No response is forthcoming.
Phinnae calls out for Jade Wisdom, and is surprised to get no response. She tries asking the statue, "Can you please lift the cage?" but the statue remains immobile. She starts to get frustrated and climbs onto the statue. Then jumping down she climbs into the cage. When nothing happens she gets out and tries to lift the cage herself, channeling anough essence into her muscles that her Anima goes Iconic and the darkness is banished from the room. But to no avail as the cage steadfastly refuses to budge.
Savvy and Scarred both notice a silvery glow escaping from cracks between the stone blocks of the wall. Calling out for Phinnae again, they are answered by the phrustrated phull-moon.
After a few minutes they finish explaining what Phinnae had phorgotten so phast. Then they mention it's getting late and they should get back to the hotel before nightfall and the ghosts.
"What ghosts?" asks the Full Moon.
They explain the ghosts of Sijan again to the confused Lunar... then they wonder what to do about her Anima bonfire. They conclude that she can always wait until it has died down and then fly to the hotel, but they must start wlking back now or else risk not making it in time.
Some hours later her Anima fades and Phinnae escapes from the tomb and flies to the hotel.
Upon arrival at the hotel she is greeted by the others and Jade Wisdom making a cup of tea.
1st Resplendent Air
The group arises in the morning and travels back to the tomb. Apparently they are almost flat broke. Savvy's ladies of the night remain behind to par take in the time honoured tradition of pillow fighting.
As they travel through the alley to the wall they fill Phinnae in on yesterdays events ... old man, note etc ( some details are argued about).
Jade Wisdom uses his mighty craft skills to fix the automaton and tests it out. Low and behold it works!
Jade Wisdom descends into the darkness.
Phinnae realises she's not at the hotel anymore!?
Jade Wisdom says "UP" in Old Realm as soon as it hits the bottom, so they all hop aboard and go down.
They are in a wide cavern, with a low ceiling and musty air. It is pitch black except for the glow given off by Caste marks. A perfectly smooth stone wall stands 15m away. A stone wall, with a stone door. Jade Wisdom approaches. As he draws closer he is overcome by a mind, numbingly tiredness. He turns around and goes back to stand with the others.
Scarred, the ever foolish one, disbelieves the great wisdom of the Jade ones findings. He walks toward the doors. Gets tired. Makes attempts to not look tired and goes to sleep near the door. Savvy also tries to approach the doors and she gets half way before sitting down to take a nap. Phinnae meanwhile braces the wall.
Jade Wisdom drags Savvy and Scarred back.
Asking the doors to open in Old Realm is not effective. Scarred shines his Solar Caste mark at the doors with no effect either.
Phinnae decides to fire an elegant arrow at the doors and only succeeds in taking a chink out of the mighty stone.
Scarred investigates the walls in the gloom and finds only more rock and dirt.
Savvy tries to use Heaven Thunder Leaves to attract a god, but to no avail.
Jade Wisdom focuses his willpower and trudges to the door, ignoring the overwhelming desire to sleep. Scarred manages to follow the Jadeborn's example, mostly out of spite, and together they open the doors. The Lunars follow the example just set and are soon across.
Remembering the note the old man gave them the adventurers enter a second room, ten yards cubed. At the opposite end of the room there are three mighty statues in front of another set of doors, each holding a giant stone hammer.
Oh No! More Automatons and more doors.
Savvy approaches the door and reaches out and touches them. This appears to upset the closest of the Statues and it swings its giant hammer at her.
Savvy, parries, parries, then Deadly Beastman Transformation trying to disarm it but with no luck.
Jade Wisdom activates Black Jade Transformation.
Phinnae springs into action with her Relentless Lunar Fury. Pouncing onto the head of the statue and stabs at it with her ... arrow??? ... she's wishing she had some sort of melee weapon now. But she's in her Deadly Beastman Form now too and hopes she'll have some success. Alas the arrow is parried but skewers the statue in the head anyway.
Scarred runs up its hammer and puts his fist into its face in an awesome, if foolhardy, move. It doesn't notice or care.
The first statue swings at Savvy and she skillfully blocks with her Golden Tiger Stance.
A second statue is now activated and comes to the firsts aid. It swings at Phinnae still perched on the head of the first. She jumps up to the ceiling to back flip but is caught by the massive hammer. A solid crunch to her side.
Statue three swings at Scarred who tries to dodge " I wasn't there understanding " Statue three runs into statue one.
Jade Wisdom swings twice and cracks statue number two in each knee. Cracks start to appear.
Savvy furies up and tries to dismember statue one with fans. Ping! A chip flies off.
Phinnae leaps up and back and fires an arrow at statue two. It whistles by its ear.
Jade Wisdom leaps up and brings Witty Retort down on statue two's head for a solid clang.
Scarred runs up statue three and jumps off to kick punch statue one ... and misses!
Jade Wisdom scoots between the legs of statue three and hammers it back. It shatters in a shower of stone and magical materials. Yay!!
Savvy slides through the legs of statue one and slices three times. Ping! Sparks! Ping! Chip! Ping! Chunk!
Statue one hits Phinnae solidly again. Kerrrunck! She should learn to duck better.
Statue two swings at Jade Wisdom and misses, cracking the floor. He brings the Hammer up into statue two's belly in rapid succession for two solid blows.
Phinnae starts aiming.
Jade Wisdom brings Witty Retort in red arc into two powerful hits that shatter statue two's mid section. Yay!!!
Scarred spins around to uppercut statue one and connects, but for no damage.
Savvy pirouettes into whirling death - Miss! Miss! Chink! Chink! Chink!
Jade Wisdom appears in the rain of stone chips and cracks statue one over the head, knocking it off ... Yay!!!
Phinnae and Savvy are still Furious, but calm down quickly.
Savvy and Jade Wisdom push open the door, and luckily avoid the sheer drop.
Phinnae shoots an arrow across the gaping maw. It chicks and falls only a little way. It appears to be hanging in mid air. She flies across. Her feet find purchase on an invisible ledge.
The ledge is about three metres long. Savvy turns into a bird and flies across the pit ( 200m deep ). Phinnae picks up Scarred and flies him across. Then strips Jade Wisdom to his Rumour of Glory and flies him, his armour and weapons across separately.
Jade Wisdom examines the ledge and believes it to be made of Adamant.
Scarred and Savvy push door open.

Added links to the first age exalts and linked other NPCs to my pages. - Bencyclopedia
Trying some organisational changes. If anyone has a better idea, I'd love to see it! :) Will leave the last couple of days in game time (or game sessions) up on this page and archive off the others on a rolling schedule (alternatively, one of you lot can do that too if you feel so inclined, just copy how I've done it. Each Archived day will usually be fairly short to read, has it's own comments section and should be easy to build off, but one thing I'm wary of is losing exactly what the party of misfits has learned. If it's archived away who's to say what day they learned the specific bit of info you're looking for to recall... hm... wordy sentences for the win tonight! Maybe each date should have a reminder about that day? So like: 16th Descending Wood - Nexus, quartet met, alley thugs, Taros intro. - nikink
- Perhaps you could just have this page be a timeline with a brief rundown of each day + the calander with the links off to the more detailed descriptions. Possibly just have the most recent game or two on here as well, to act as a memory tickler if needed. - Bencyclopedia
- I'm pretty sure you just said what I said... :) nikink
- Quite possibly, I just did it less wordy :P Bencyclopedia
