Charm Changes
- Elemental Bolt Attack: The character cannot spend more essence on this charm than his rating in the Lore ability, not Stamina. Also, this charm is targeted with Dexterity + Thrown, or Athletics. Archery is not involved. See Exalted: the Dragon-Blooded, Page 181.
- Elemental Burst Technique: The character cannot spend more essence on this charm than his Lore ability. Just as with EBA, this charm can be targeted using Thrown or Athletics. See Exalted: the Dragon-Blooded, Page 181.
- Spirit-Detecting Mirror Technique: As a guideline, attacking something through a reflection gives the character a +1 difficulty on his attack roll to hit the spirit. A character using this charm still needs to use another charm to actually affect an immaterial spirit. See Exalted: the Dragon-Blooded, Page 182.
- Distracting Breeze Meditation: For clarification, this charm gives you a +2 difficulty modifier per mote of essence spent. This modifier applies to a Per+Awareness roll to spot the character as he moves stealthily, and the character can distribute this difficulty penality as he wishes among the various targets that might oversee his passage. See Exalted: the Dragon-Blooded, Page 185.
- Dragon Shroud Technique: In contrast, this charm provides the character with two automatic successes to any opposed roll where it's beneficial to be almost invisible. This includes stealth, dodging attacks, and so on. Stunts might be required for some applications of this charm. See Exalted: the Dragon-Blooded, Page 186.
- Precision Observation Method: If the Storyteller calls for a reflexive Per+Awareness roll for no appreciable purpose, an Exalt with this charm can choose to utilize it, but must choose to do so before the roll is made. He gains no advance notice of the purpose of the roll. See Exalted: the Dragon-Blooded, Page 189.
- Shaping Hand Style: For clarification, this charm only allows the Dragon-Blooded to mimic normal tools. Sensitive equipment designed to service rare First Age or Shogunate magitek generally cannot be duplicated with this charm, at least not in whole. There is no overt shapeshifting with this charm; it allows the character's normal hands to act as the tool in question. See Exalted: the Dragon-Blooded, Page 192.
- Flaw-Finding Examination: If the character wishes to use knowledge of an items flaw to repair an item, he can reduce the difficulty of all repair rolls by 1. Multiple uses of this charm on a single object are allowed, and do stack. The character can also effect simple repairs that are not on First Age or Shogunate magitek without the use of tools. These guidelines specifically replace the rules in the text. See Exalted: the Dragon-Blooded, Page 194.
- Unfeeling Earth Meditation: This charm has a Prerequisite of Untiring Earth Meditation. See Exalted: the Dragon-Blooded, Page 196.
- Five-Dragon Fortitude: The character cannot spend more Essence on the use of this charm than his (Stamina x2). See Exalted: the Dragon-Blooded, Page 197.
- Impervious Skin of Stone Meditation: The character cannot spend more Essence on the use of this charm than his Permanent Essence rating. This overturns the limit noted in the charm text. See Exalted: the Dragon-Blooded, Page 200.
- Bellows-Pumping Stride: This charm has a prerequisite of Fiery Prowess. See Exalted: the Dragon-Blooded, Page 203.
- Swift Legion Technique: This charm has a prerequisite of Bellows-Pumping Stride, and Falling Star Manuever. See Exalted: the Dragon-Blooded, Page 204.
- Threshold Warding Stance: The use of this charm allows a Dragon-Blooded to ignore the mobility penality of his armor for the purposes of a single dodge roll, in addition to its other listed effects. See Exalted: the Dragon-Blooded, Page 204.
- Glowing Coal Radiance: This is a Reflexive charm. Two successes are needed on the willpower roll to attack the Dragon-Blooded in hand-to-hand combat, or with a weapon with a speed modifier of 2 or less. Non-heroic mortals are assumed to have an average Willpower of 3, equal to their highest Virtue rating. See Exalted: the Dragon-Blooded, Page 209.
- Benevolent Master's Blessing: The character can also use this charm to give himself a bonus to Bureaucracy rolls at the noted cost of 1 mote per two dice, no more than doubling his Bureaucracy ability. See Exalted: the Dragon-Blooded, Page 215-6.
