Dragon-Blooded Occult Charms by CrownedSun

Demon-Unleashing Taunt

Cost: 5 motes plus 1 mote per die, 1 willpower
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Occult: 5
Minimum Essence: 5
Prerequisite Charms: Spirit-Chaining Strike, Terrestrial Circle Sorcery

This is not a charm taught casually, and few Dragon-Blooded of any sort know it. Even so, a few warriors of the Wyld Hunt and high-level graduate students at the Heptagram are eventually taught the secrets of this charm and some Dragon-Blooded even manage to learn it themselves. When used this charm fills the Demon's mind with an unreasoning rage, filling it's mind with the fury of the north wind and the raw uncaged might of the elements of air. Very often, a demon subjected to this charm frees itself from it's master's binding and becomes uncontrolled. While the demon has no innate love for the Dragon-Blooded that freed it, most are more interested in getting revenge on their former jailor.
When this charm is used, the Demon and the Sorcerer that commands him begin another contest of wills similar to when he was first summoned. Each party rolls it's Willpower, with all the same rules as outlined on page 218 of the Exalted corebook -- with the following exception. First, the Demon's willpower is not reduced by any precautions the Sorcerer took in the summoning -- in fact, the Dragon-Blooded can spend 1 mote per die to add extra dice to the Demon's roll. He cannot add more dice than his Occult score, plus any relevant specialities. Second, unlike the true contest of wills, Essence is not added to the roll. Third, if the Demon wins the contest of wills the Sorcerer does not have the option to banish the beast back to Malfaes and has no benefits from any protective diagrams.
Needless to say, this power is very rarely used but can be useful in certain circumstances. It has no effect on already free demons. The charm is less effective against second circle demons, and requires 3 motes per die added when used against them. It doesn't work on any Third Circle demon that might be summoned at all.

What is the Dice Adder Cap -- Assorted Folk
Shit! I had it in the first version of the charm, but it apparently got lost when I rewrote the second paragraph.
