Old Catgirl Comments
Shouldn't that be helping goddesses (or servant goddesses?) instead of Bunny Boy? Bunny Boy is... not at all kawaii. Also, for castes, I suggest paw, whiskers, tail, eye, and teeth. -Xeriar
Yeah, but it said Bunny-Boys for Sidereal equivalents when I wrote that bit. The reaction would obviously be different now since Helping Godesses aren't obvious prey critters. Any suggestions for expanding upon the Castes? -Drakensis
- I probably should have, but I'm still ashamed for doing this >_>. I'm replacing Whiskers with ears because it is destined.
- Teeth: Stamina, Dexterity, Strength - The warriors. They all must take the fangs fetish, of course. Anima power should involve immunity to poison, or the ability to eat anything, or both. Ought to be somewhat disturbing.
- Eye: Perception, Intelligence, Wits - The keen. Cat eye fetish a must. Anima ability should be seeing in the dark.
- Paw: Appearance, Charisma, Manipulation - The players. They like to toy with things, a lot, and in many ways. Have cute retractable claw fetish. Anima power should involve the ability to become disinterested in any situation that no longer properly pleases them (except for their Bishounen mate) or something.
- Tail: Dexterity, Manipulation, Wits - Master manipulators, especially in tight situations? Tail fetish a must. Anima power should allow for great verticle leaps and unlimited falls for a scene.
- Ear: Stamina, Appearance, Intelligence - The cuddly. Cat-ear fetish!. Anima power should calm the most violent heart.
- The Catgirls have a special set of fetishes, and all begin with one, each of which grants additional abilities. Claws are obvious, cat-eyes enhance vision, cat-ears hearing, teeth grant a bite attack, and tail a cat-tail. -Xeriar
- Some good ideas there! I'm wondering if maybe there should be a sixth caste to use the three attributes the last two don't use, which would be Strength, Charisma, Perception. (Perhaps they could be Nose, or Whiskers). If they were nose, their anima ability could heighten their sense of smell, natch. -- JohnBiles
- I would favour Whiskers over Nose. Not sure about a sixth caste though, depends how close we want to play to the 'five-fold' path of Exalted.
- Anyone else got any comments on this? -- JohnBiles
- Why not go with the sixth caste, because catgirls are just that cute that there are more of them then normal. Reality demands it. So... 600 catgirls to 500 bishies? ^_- ~ haku
- Naah, 600 catgirls to 300 bishies. Or 200 bishies. Or 50. Or 5. -Xeriar
Is it wrong when you find yourself liking the catgirls more then the canonical lunars? ~ haku
- I like accidentally closing the door on my hand more than the canonical lunars. ^^;; -- JohnBiles
- Granted, it's this urge I have of simply transplanting the catgirls wholesale into canonical exalted and saying, yeah... they're the catgirl exalts of Luna, which means in the first age there would be solars, catgirls, sidereals, and dragonblooded... ^_^;;; ~ haku who IS feeling rather silly
- If you go for apparent Lunar analogy...
- Paw: Strength, Dexterity, Stamina
- Tail: Manipulation, Charisma, Appearance
- Whiskers: Perception, Intelligence, Wits
I would like to register the thought that I think instead of First Age it should be Harem Age. -Xeriar
- Good Thinking -- JohnBiles
The insanity inducing thing is going to be doing all the charm trees. ^^;; -- JohnBiles
- Well, I finished the charm trees faster than expected. ^^;; -- JohnBiles
Well I never looked too much at lunars but when I looked at your charms I got the feeling, that from what I remebered, the Catgirls have better orginized and possibly stronger charms than lunars do, we should try to get some lunar fans to look at this though. - Blackedout
- These charms were adapted from my effort to de-suck-ify the Lunar charm tree into something easier to follow, so yeah, they're fairly different and organized differently too. So I'm glad that's clear. :) Thanks for looking! -- JohnBiles
