DragonBlooded Lore Charms by GoldenH
Elemental Shield Method
Cost: 5m Duration: Essence Turns Type: Simple Minimum Lore: 5 Minimum Essence: 4 Prerequisite Charms: Elemental Burst Technique
Anyone approaching the caster is subject to a knockdown attack with a pool equal to the character's Int + Lore + Essence. This effect cannot be dodged or parried, but can be resisted with a contested Strength + Athletics roll.
Note: This charm is intended to be used in conjunction with Sorcery. It will not effect people the user approaches, so if she should, for example, attack and then jump back, the defender is free to follow in order to press the attack.
Comments:
It's an essence 4 charm... why the limitations? Just have it work all the time. Yes, it's nasty, but essence 4 is REALLY expensive, especially for dragon-blooded, and this is a base elemental manipulation, which can also be resisted. Plus, there are a few charms that make knockdown trivial. Plus, it does nothing to ranged attacks.

It also does no damage and inflicts no penalty. It's pathetically weak for Essence 4. Even at Essence 3 it should cost, maybe 3 motes. It just is not that useful. - Telgar
