The Princess Bride
This is a wonderful movie that is suprisingly exalted in it's tone even though it's power level is on par with a heroic mortals level game. To that end, I've built this page for exalted treatments of the characters and other things from the book and movie. I will attempt to also link the various characters and things to the proper places on the wiki.

Ok, I created this page as a place to put exalted treatments of the various things from the princess bride. I would request that space be made if people wish to do multiple treatments of various things.

I agree the story's Exalted in tone, but I think the characters are a step up from heroic mortal acomplishments. In the book, compared to the movie, Humperdink's opening scene involves wrestling an Orangutan, and snapping its spine. Fezzik's arms are described as having limitless strength and stamina. Sure, it lacks contrails of essence and spells, but most of the characters are over-the-top enough for Exalted. - ImaginalDisc
- Hmmmm.... I kind of agree with you and I kind of don't. Let me explain what I mean by heroic mortal. As far as the movie goes, it is my firm opinion that the only way that Westly could become bad-ass enough to defeat 4 of the worst dangers in the area in 5 years was by exalting as a Solar (a diversifyed one, not just a combat twink). I veiw Inigo, Fezzik, and Vizzini as totally tricked out twinks in their area of expertise (frex, my ideal character sheet for Inigo has him with a normal fencing dice pool of 16-17 dice). Neither the Count nor the Prince demonstrait any kind of ability that is absolutly out of the realm of human ability, and, although Miracle Max could be a sidereal in disguise, bringing somone back from the brink of death is within the reach of Thaumatergy. Now, given their descriptions in the book, on the other hand, they are almost definately all God-Blooded or Exalts of various types.
- Or to put it another way, yes, I think the movie would work as an example of a heroic mortal game, for a sufficently high definition of "heroic". --BrilliantRain
On consideration, I agree. There's a point in the book where Wesley and Buttercup fall into the ravine, and then Wesley tells Buttercup that they're trapped, and have to go the Fireswamp. Buttercup, with uncharacterisitic intelligence, points out that the W-Man should easily be able to climb out, and drag her along, sinc ethe sides of the ravine aren't anywhere near as sheer or tall as The Cliffs of Insanity. W however, responds by saying that he's just spent the day Climbing The Cliffs of Insanity, fighting the most brliiant swordsman in the world, wrestling a massively strong giant, outwitting a genuis, doing an awful lot of hard running, and he just fell down a ravine. "In a word Buttercup, I'm tired." - ImaginalDisc
