Year 769

Calibration

Day 1

As the sun drops below the horizon so too does the temperature. As the freezing cold night sets in snow begins to drift gently down onto the Shining Pearl covering the lavish yacht. Savvy is astounded by this stange, cold, wet substance. Jade wisdom attempts to explain the concept of snow to the young girl from the south. Despite the Jadeborn scholar's best effort Savvy remains unconvinced and instead decides to consult her follower, this leaves Jade Wisdom feeling somewhat dejected.

Scarred on the other hand takes the opporunity to relax by building a snow fort on the main deck, and spends the day pelting snow balls at everyone.

Phinnae spends the day, as usual, commanding the crew.

With the setting of the sun, the temperature rises again and the snow melts away.

Strange noises are heard echoing across the water.

Day 2

Sun rises, yet the day stays dark like night and all the stars remain visible... except for the 5 Maidens. Sunlight still shines through the water though! More strange noises after nightfall.

Day 3

Sun appears to rise in the west! This causes a small amount of confusion.

Day 4

The river is noticed to have reversed its flow! More confusion, but the yacht makes good time towards Sijan.

Day 5

All appears normal until midday, when the Sun stops at its zenith above Meru. At the normal time of nightfall the sun just disappears.

1st Ascending Air

Midnight reveals a small sliver of moon.

All is well.

25th Ascending Air

Yay for Sijan!

Jade Wisdom gives a brief rundown of the city's history and recommends a trip to the Sijanese library for information about /ShuZhou.

Phinnae gives the crew shore leave on a rotating basis so as not to leave the yacht un-manned.

The Exalted Trio and their leader, Jade Wisdom, decide to stay within the city for the duration, and resolve to find a cheap hotel for all seven of them. The Jadeborn is concerned by the inauspicious number, but chooses to remain quiet on the matter, for fear of upsetting Savvy.

Once in the city, and with lodgings arranged the party decides to split up. Scarred, Phinnae, Moany and Bitchy head towards the Sijan Archives following directions from the receptionist. Savvy, Jade Wisdom and Feral head towards the library following more directions from the receptionist and during the walk Savvy is treated to an oral lesson on Sijanese craftsmanship, architecture, history and more from the excited Jadeborn.

Phinnae steers the drunken Solar and two girls towards the Archives. They discover them underground in the "Roll of the Dead". They are greeted by a man with grey robes lined with silver cuffs and explain their intent to find information on the Tombs of the Anathema. The man says it may take a while to fulfill their wishes.

Team B on the other hand are enjoying an educational walk through Sijan when they notice the streets become empty and the sound of hoofsteps are heard to be getting sloser at a steady rate. There appears a thin man on a jet-black horse. He wears a wide-brimmed black hat and long, black coat, his skin is unnaturally pale and the veins are clearly visible. Jade Wisdom's Essence fueled sight can see a bleeding aura of darkness surrounding the figure.

The figure slowly rides past, staring silently at the three quite nervous individuals.

Once he has gone, Jade Wisdom breathes a massive sigh of relief and leads the way to the library without further ado or commentary.

The library is underground, and surprisinly is "the Roll of the Dead". Sigh.

The trio spots the quartet and tells of the strange figure in black.

Eventually the grey robed man comes back and says it will take more time to find the information they seek. Jade Wisdom manages to bribe the man to prioritise their request. His generous donation is accepted. The group leaves to go shopping for supplies. They get directions to the underground markets from a ghost that only the Jadeborn could see. He's so awesome!

At the markets Jade Wisdom reflects that he could have been a Quicksilver Falcon he's so successful at finding, haggling and procuring supplies!

Thus passes most of the rest of the day. Savvy wanders around with her followers - Feral (the ex-thief) is a liability... :)

As it gets late, the party notice all mortal inhabitants emptying from the markets. They decide to follow suit. When they arrive at the hotel the receptionist lays salt wards and warns them about the haunted nights of Sijan.

26th Ascending Air

Jade Wisdom takes Savvy and the girls on a historical tour again, while Phinnae takes the supplies back to the yacht. Scarred wakes up so hungover he vomits on himself (awesomely) and then goes for a walk. Unfortunately without washing first.

Jade Wisdom leads his ad-hoc pupils to the Southern Tombs in order to demonstrate to Savvy that even Southern Cultures sometimes send their dead for Sijanese treatment. It's educational for the Lunar tribes-woman, but not very exciting. As evening comes her attention wanders and as the Jadeborn wanders off on another long winded spiel about stonework and peoples long past she finds herself wandering off in another direction. Fortunately, Groany was able to get directions from passers-by and the two parties meet up again soon after, and head back to the hotel.

27th Ascending Air

The mismatched Circle decides to go back to the "Roll of the Dead", and a few short hours later they once again enter through the creaky doors. The Man (Who's name I have forgotten), tells them that he has uncovered seven potential "Su-Chi" candidates. Somewhat crestfallen, the Circle asks for the scroll of information and tomb co-ordinates. After having a brief look, they realise that the tomb locations are hidden by a Sijanese Morticioans Guild cipher of pictographs, so they need to hire a guide. Added links to the first age exalts and linked other NPCs to my pages. - Bencyclopedia

Trying some organisational changes. If anyone has a better idea, I'd love to see it! :) Will leave the last couple of days in game time (or game sessions) up on this page and archive off the others on a rolling schedule (alternatively, one of you lot can do that too if you feel so inclined, just copy how I've done it. Each Archived day will usually be fairly short to read, has it's own comments section and should be easy to build off, but one thing I'm wary of is losing exactly what the party of misfits has learned. If it's archived away who's to say what day they learned the specific bit of info you're looking for to recall... hm... wordy sentences for the win tonight! Maybe each date should have a reminder about that day? So like: 16th Descending Wood - Nexus, quartet met, alley thugs, Taros intro. - nikink

Perhaps you could just have this page be a timeline with a brief rundown of each day + the calander with the links off to the more detailed descriptions. Possibly just have the most recent game or two on here as well, to act as a memory tickler if needed. - Bencyclopedia
I'm pretty sure you just said what I said... :) nikink
Quite possibly, I just did it less wordy :P Bencyclopedia
