Nuran,

Attached is my report on the series of missions the team recently undertook surrounding the collection of a Circle of new Exalts, as per your request. The mission, as you know, was to collect each of five recently-Exalted Sidereals while working with regrettably minimal intelligence. In preparation for this mission, we received a sympathetic Essence-detecting device from Gyaku that we found useful in confirming the identities of each of the subjects. The rest is in the report.

Havoc

---

...Having received the device from Gyaku, we departed to the first town that had been indicated to us, reaching it after a day's travel, and began our search. Wu-Go-Ma-Xa and Traveler questioned locals in the tavern; Hino investigated the rest of the town; I looked around in search of anything out of the ordinary. After a cursory investigation, we met up outside of the home of the mother of our first recruit, who pointed us in the direction of one of her daughter's companions. We found the boy dozing amidst grazing cattle, and he led us to a cave a ways outside the town where he thought she might have gone. Apparantly, she had already excelled some in the arts of the Forbidding Manse of Ivy; she nearly snuck by us, and would have, if not for Hino's sense of caution when we first entered the cave. Hino and I subdued her without great incident, Hino confirmed her identity, and we returned to Yu Shan.

We found our next subject in an abandoned warehouse in Chiaroscuro. Wu-Go, Hino and I opted for a stealthy entrance while Traveler chose to walk into the building out in the open, as our plan was to draw him out with a decoy and subdue him before he had a chance to make an escape. It did not call for Traveler's attempt to kill our prospect when he dropped from the ceiling -- perhaps Traveler was unaware of the deeper connotations of the word "decoy" -- but luckily, and perhaps unsurpisingly, the boy (who did not retaliate) was not seriously injured. Wu-Go confirmed him as our subject, and he agreed to come along without putting up a struggle.

As you had warned us of a possible interruption by the Wyld Hunt, we decided it would be most prudent to submit a plan for fate in order to minimize such unwanted contingencies. Wu-Go-Ma-Xa offered to stay behind and ensure the plan was confirmed in time while the rest of us departed to Dormin. Dormin, of course, is a locale the team is familiar with ; we wasted no time in locating the girl in question at a local amphitheatre. Hino and I infiltrated to the back while Traveler monitored the crowd. After waiting through the first two sets, we noted a suspicious blue light had filled the set, seemingly centered around the singer who was currently on stage. Not wanting to risk the trouble, however brief, a public Exaltation would have caused, we chose to act quickly. Hino dropped the curtain and somehow sabotaged the house lights, I grabbed the girl and left the scene, and Traveler managed to keep the crowd stable. We met up in an alley not far from the theatre. Seeing that we were being pursued by three Dragon Blooded, I handed the girl over to Traveler and Hino. I dispatched the trio, suffering only a minor cut on my side in the process, and caught up with my partners. We couldn't confirm that she was a Chosen of Serenity by means of the artifact, as the Cerulean Lute of Harmony has always maintained the position that our organization is an unnecessary allocation of resources, but by the color of her anima we were able to minimize any doubts on the matter to a reasonable level.

The next subject, out of the five, was perhaps quickest to acquiesce. He had established himself as the leader of a street gang in east Hollow, and, having demonstrated the Lesser Sign of Mars, was quite happy to come along after I showed him that he was not the only one who was able to invoke it.

Finally, we returned to the West. We had been told that our subject was out at sea, but had little information to work on other than that, so Traveler invoked at least one of his Charms regarding the domain of sailing and took the helm of the ship. Before long, we found ourselves sailing into a vast thunderstorm, the vanguard of what appeared to be a Wyld bordermarch, and we were set upon by what appeared to be a one hundred foot long flying tentacle whale mutant. I have no better words to describe it. The beast set upon our vessel and caused some minor damage before we were able to fight it off; Hino and I harrying it while Traveler lessened its will to fight with what I recognized as the Violet Bier of Sorrows style. Soon after we dispatched the beast, we came upon a water-wracked vessel that seemed to be our destination. I jumped over the waters to the boat and found the captain, a girl of about sixteen. Confirming that she was the only surviving crewmember, I took her back to our ship. Traveler then took us out of the storm and to Yu Shan. On the five days it took us to return, Hino and I sought to sharpen our minds and practiced at Gateway; Traveler opted to spend his time attempting to seduce the child we had rescued. Having returned, you suggested that we had only been gone a matter of hours; I agree with the suggestion that this was an effect caused by the bordermarch.

This concludes my report. I, REBORN VERMILLION HAVOC, hereby swear, upon the mark of my Exaltation, that the above is true and correct to the best of my knowledge.
