Owned by one Elegant Koi, a recent graduate of Dagon Academy, this small ground-floor establishment has quickly become one of the most prestigious clothiers in the District. Catering to likes of Delos Ferrano, the business grew quickly. Most neighbors liked the polite and attractive Koi better than the thamaturge who had lived there previously, so everyone was happy.
Since starting the Business, Elegant Koi has displayed exceptional tailoring talent, the only downside being a slight overuse of the color black. Some of his notable achievements are that he has actually manage to weave clothing with protective value. (Mechanically: this clothing looks perfectly normal, but raises the wearer's lethal soak by 1 [Resources ••••] or 2 [Resources •••••]). This counts as armor and is stackable with worn armor. This clothing has no fatigue or mobility penalty, but if multiple sets are layered, the result has a fatigue and mobility penalty equal to the number of layers, as they seem to stick and catch on each other.
He also sells a special all-black buff jacket. (Mechanically: costs Resources •••••, has a lethal and bashing soak equal to 4, and also has a -1 fatigue and mobility penalty. It may be worn over a single layer of his clothing without penalty.)
Rumors
- Elegant Koi is a *-Blood, possibly related to one of the instructors at Dagon Academy.
- Koi has been taking swordfighting lessons from the The Forsaken's Bastards.
Secrets
- Koi's mother was from Coral Island, and he loves swimming and water sports. This isn't a secret per se, but he is generally reluctant to talk about his family or past.
- A pit under The Porcupine Quill contains a Firmin in a pit underneath it. Koi killed the thaumaturge who summoned it in self-defense (it was better than joining the Firmin). From the former owner's notes, Koi learned enough about the Firmin to contain it, but not how to get rid of it. Koi has learned how to spin the firmin's ichor into strong black thread, which he uses to make his special clothing. This is not exceptionally difficult, but few sorcerers are tailors. Now he is in the bind of depending on it as part of his buisness, but still having to feed it. It's generally happy with animals, but seems to need a human every once in a while. Koi has been frantically practicing his swordsmanship, and with some excellent equipment made of firmin ichor, has not had that much trouble finding people to give to the firmin in such a hive of scum and villainy as Nexus. He's gained a bit of a reputation as vigilante, under the name Silver Mask. However, the dual life is driving him crazy, and he would desperately like to get rid of the demon and move to some location where he could make a living as an ordinary tailor.

Why would smelling of fish indicate that someone is a God-Blood? Also, FlowsLikeBits, you need to remember to put your name on your entries. And since this is the second entry you've written in which the secret was a bound demon, perhaps you could try to link the two somehow?
