Shenellae, the sirens of the boiling sea.
Kimberry's seas are broad and vast, and they are malevolent. But even in the spiteful riptides of chyme and the lashing ciliate sargassa, there are fisherman and explorers. And those brave demon mariners fear the Shenellae.
Squat creatures like two limbed crocodiles, with two webbed human arms ending in claws and razored blades along their backs, the shenellae are scourges of the demon sea's few sailors. They take great pleasure in shipwrecks and debris, ordained by their natures to attack anything that sails the surface of Kimbery or her inner seas. They cling to the undersides of ships, breathing in the malfean ocean's waters, and slowly cut, cut at the underside of ships. They dance in the wreckage with the sinking crews as they drown, and then rest on the rubble, basking in the green sun's light. They do the same in creation, often being called as maritime weapons by sorcerors.
