Makixata, Who Winnows Truth from Chaff
Sulmana knows all that is in Zurahta, and Zurahta contains everything that has been. However, Zurahta also contains everything that could have been and everything that might have been dreamed. Makixata's duty is to sort through the infinite dross of dreams and wasted hopes that never were, and find the things in Zurahta that are reflections of the real and the solid.
Makixata is, like the things she knows, a seine of the real drifting through dreams. She is a transluscent veil of silk that often seems to be flapping around the body of a woman as if held against her body by howling winds; silk spun from the spinnarets of a great spider who was the highest soul ofTheHoverpope/TheBrokenWheel and now exists only as a memory in the catacombic depths of Zurahta. Printed on the veil is a constantly changing tapestry depicting tales that shift from one to the next; one may see a story of a great admiral crossing into the wyld to find his horse which shifts into a war raging across the world, changing from true tale one to the next with the implacable logic of dreams.
She knows everything that has passed from the world, and many things that still are; she makes endless catalogues of things which she burns so that she will know them forever. She is free with her knowledge, whispering it in the sibilant tones of silk on steel. She is much desired by sorcerors for her knowledge, and much feared as well; for it is outside of a sorceror's powers to forbid her from making records of everything that he does and says, and she will destroy those records such that they appear in the stores of those who collect lost things and in her own master's flesh.

Makixata has mastered Dreaming Pearl Courtesan style, however the last charm, requiring the crossing of lines between dream and reality, is beyond her capabilities; she is aware of it as a theoretical exercise, but cannot use it.

Makixata is aware of the intricate truth of the world and the things that imitate it. Given a moment's concentration, she may tell whether anything - dream, object, story - is either real or true, with real being defined as something in creation or Malfeas that is not illusory. Incidentally, this power also allows her perfect lie detection, detecting both whether someone believes the lie they tell and its objective truth.
Storehouse of Knowledge

Makixata is the storehouse of everything that there was and is in Zurahta, and so is a part of something greater. Everything that she learns or knows is counted in a great catalogue of information woven into his veins; every piece of knowledge that she loses shines before her eyes like a beacon. If she ever loses information for any reason - whether memory theft, arcane fate, her own death - it immediately is returned to her. Any demon of Zurahta may do research to learn what she knows. And when she dies, she reforms immediately in Zuratha's flesh devoid of any effects that would control her.
