Unfailing Iron Sinew Method

 Cost: 5 motes
 Duration: One Scene
 Type: Reflexive
 Minimum Brawl: 3
 Minimum Essence: 3
 Prerequisite Charms: Fist of Iron Technique

This charm allows the Exalt to fortify his limbs with Essence, allowing him to do lethal damage, and parry lethal attacks directed at him as if he were under the influence of Fists of Iron Technique for the remainder of the scene.


Blow Stopping Palm

 Cost: 2 motes
 Duration: Instant
 Type: Reflexive
 Minimum Brawl: 3
 Minimum Essence: 2
 Prerequisite Charms: Ferocious Jab

This charm allows the Exalt to react instantly to an attack, his fists guided by Essence to intercept an attack. Mechanically, it allows the Exalt a parry at his full Dexterity+Brawl against any one attack. This charm does not allow the Exalt to parry Lethal damage, though it is compatible with those that do.


Sudden Tempest Toss

 Cost: 3 motes
 Duration: Instant
 Type: Reflexive
 Minimum Brawl: 3
 Minimum Essence: 2
 Prerequisite Charms: Heaven Thunder Hammer

This charm allows the Exalt to respond to his enemies attacks with an unorthodox attack of his own, using their own momentum against them. This counterattack is resolved at the same time as the original attack. The Exalt rolls Dexterity+Brawl for this counter, but rather than doing damage, adds any extra sucesses to his Str. The target is thrown this many yards in any direction of the Exalt's choosing. Should an object intervene with the foe's flight, he takes 1 damage for each yard he would have moved. This charm may not be used on Sudden Tempest Toss, or any other counter-attack charm.


Rain of Men Stance

 Cost: 8 motes, 1 WP
 Duration: One Scene
 Type: Simple
 Minimum Brawl: 5
 Minimum Essence: 3
 Prerequisite Charms: Sudden Tempest Toss

This charm allows the Exalt to become the eye of a veritable hurricane of his attackers, as he scatters armies in his wake. Any attack against him is counterattacked as if the Exalt were using Sudden Tempest Toss.


Concentration Shattering Strike

 Cost: 5 motes
 Duration: Instant
 Type: Supplemental
 Minimum Brawl: 4
 Minimum Essence: 3
 Prerequisite Charms: Ox-Stunning Blow

This charm allows the Exalt to harden his Anima around his fist for a sudden buffet that is far more disruptive than the Ox-Stunning Blow, if shorter lived. Any opponent struck by the blow enhanced by this charm must make a willpower roll versus a difficulty of the Exalt's Str. If the victim suceeds, all his dice actions after the Exalt's shattering strike suffer a penalty equal to the Exalt's Essence. If the victim fails this roll, he suffers the listed penalty, as well as the following effects: Any Sorcery currently being shaped automatically fails. All 'Form' type charms are automatically ended. The victim may not use a Form type charm or sorcery later on this turn, though they pay the full cost of sorcery or a form type charm (plus a surchage of the attackers permanant essence in motes) reflexively to maintain it, even in the face of such an onslaught. Any action the victim is taking, or will take this turn that require their 'full dice action' automatically fail. This includes effects that take more than one turn's worth of full dice actions, as long as one of these turns is the turn this charm's attack hits. It also included simple charms. Unlike Ox-Stunning Blow, the attack enhanced by this charm does normal damage.


Inevitable Boulder Strike

 Cost: 4 motes
 Duration: Instant
 Type: Supplemental
 Minimum Brawl: 4
 Minimum Essence: 2
 Prerequisite Charms: Thunderclap Rush Attack, Sledgehammer Fist Punch

This charm allows the Exalt to imbue his fists with Essence for truely terrifying attack. Wrapping glowing swirls of Essence around his fist, the Exalt makes an attack as unstoppable as a falling boulder. The Exalt's attack cannot be parried, so powerful is the blow. This is NOT a perfect attack. Heavenly Guardian Defense defends from this charm, as it defends from all others.


CST is too cheap, I think. Anything that can not only blow up Sorcery but also disrupt Martial Arts, both perfectly, needs to at the very least cost Willpower. - willows

CST isn't perfect. At least, not anymore than hitting someone with a sharp sword is perfect. Yes, /if/ you hit them, and if they don't soak (or, in this case, make the WP roll) it does damage. But not because it's perfect. It's just what the sword (or this charm) does. Any sort of MA or Sorcery preserving spell could defend against this, just fine. Unless I misunderstand your post? Sorcery is fairly easy to disrupt with any good hit, at least while cast... CST doesn't appear to actually end sorcery, just stop that which you're in the process of casting. That effect is fairly minor, it's just an enhancement. I can easily see a sorcery-saving charm that you could use on any turn after the first to automatically keep hold of your sorcery... or an artifact that did that (on any turn/always)... both of those would stop that effect.
As for the form-disabler... I think we've needed one of these for ages, and brawl seems the perfect place for it. It's good, but it's fairly expensive and again, it isn't perfect. There's already a roll to see if it activates, after all. One little caveat might be that if the martial artist has higher or equal essence, they should be able to reflexively pay the cost of the form again to keep it's effects. That might balance it a bit, if you really think it's needed. What do you think?

I think this should, like, be a general rule for when any Essence working is disrupted by an external force, myself. - willows

Have I said already how much I like Sudden Tempest Toss? It'd have nice synergy with a second character archerdancing. - willows

Ess3 seems a bit much for UISM. It's pretty basic and is comparable in effect and power to any number of Ess2 MA Charms. Admittedly, the reflexivity is nice, but I dunno that it's Ess3 nice. - Gayo

Well, it only require brawl 3. Most of the MA effects that give you scenelong effects at ess 2 are MA 4 or 5. And forms to boot, which are a little wierd anyway. - Scrollreader
