Angelic Champion Formation Style

Cost: 1+ motes, 1+ Willpower
Duration: Instant
Type: Reflexive
Min. Athletics: 5
Min Essence: 5
Prereqs: Lightning Speed

The Solar Exalt has reached a pinnacle of mastery with his weapon. By concentrating for a split second and shaping the flows of his anima into intricate patterns about him, he may merge several Charms into a single perfect action.

This Charm explicitly allows the Solar Exalt to break some of the normal rules for using multiple Charm in the same turn. When activated the Solar may choose a number of other Charm he knows and activate them all at once. The limitation on this is that: none of the Charm activated but Angelic Champion Formation Style may have a duration of Instant and the Exalt may not activate more Charms at once then his permanent Essence.

The cost of this Charm is equal to the cost of all the Charm the Solar wishes to activate, plus 1 Willpower, plus a variable amount of Essence based on the number of Charms activated. If the Solar activates one one Charm (however unlikely that is) the additional Essence cost is 1 mote, if he activates 2 Charms, the additional Essence cost is 3 motes, if he activates 3 Charms the additional Essence cost is 6 motes and so on. All the Essence spent activating Angelic Champion Formation Style remains commited for the duration of the longest Charm in the Formation.

For example: Kali of the Thousand Victories has been tossed out the window of her apartment by a squad of Immaculate assasins lead by an unidentified Sidereal who wish to finish her off on the rooftops of Nexus. Cursing she realizes she doesn't have time to waste if she wishes to survive. Drawing her daikliave she focuses her anima, activating the Angelic Champion Formation Style in mid- air. She chooses to activate Fivefold Bulwark Stance, Flow Like Blood, Graceful Crane Stance and Whirlwind of Searing Blows all at once. She pays 5 motes, 1 Willpower + 5 motes, 1 Willpower + 3 motes + 7 motes, 1 Willpower for the Charms, plus a surcharge of 10 motes, 1 Willpower for the blessing of activating them all at once. The total cost of this is 30 motes, 4 Willpower. All the motes will remain commited for the duration of the scene. But even as the Dragon- blooded monks follow her out the window, she smiles, knowing they are already dead.

Why is this Athletics? Because of the super activation speed? It seems more like Lore to me, since Lore usually deals with direct manipulation of Essence as Essence, which seems to be what this Charm does -Dorchadas

Hmm... you'e probably right about that. I'll change it around in my next update. - Epsilon

What would the Lore Prerequisite be? None of the existing ones fit thematicly I don't think. And I'm pretty certian it should have charm prerequisites.- Malikai

It feels like it should have a Prereq of "at least two combos" as well. - Reyemile
