Tattoo-Cutting Wisdom
Cost: 4 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Intelligence: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: None
The Lunar can engrave or otherwise mark an unliving object so it is immune to the chaotic effects of the Wyld, Untamed Demesnes or any other source of Shapechanging Essence. To do so the Lunar must etch a mark and roll his Intelligence+Occult - if this Charm used on a shaped object which the Lunar is committing motes to keep the form of, such as those created with Shaping the Once-Living Form and Weapon-Shaping Method it frees the commitment and makes the shaped object permanent.

Harmony in the Heart of Light
Cost: 10 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Intelligence: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Tattoo-Cutting Wisdom
Creating a pattern over her forehead from her own flowing blood, the Lunar engraves it on his current Form, and locks her Shapeshifting away until she decides to shapeshift again. To do this the Lunar rolls Intelligence+Occult with a difficulty equal to the Blood Library level nessessary to have the shape as a Prize Form. In a success, the Lunar will remain in this form even during her iconic flare, holding its stability on the heart of the silver pyre. Her anima still does flare, and even if the Lunar is using Charms to pretend to use another Exalt's anima banner, she will still shine silver during her iconic flare. If the Lunar is trying not to be noticed, one may try to decode the tattoo by rolling Wits+Lore with a difficulty equal to the Lunar's Occult.

Form-Fixing Method
Cost: 10 motes, 1 willpower, 1 experience point
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Intelligence: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Tattoo-Cutting Wisdom
Knowledge of this Charm allows a Lunar to tattoo a neophyte Lunar, fixing his Caste and allowing him to resist the physical(but not mental) properties of the Wyld. The use of this Charm requires a ceremony of several hours under the Full Moon, where occult instruments are used to draw the moonsilver tattoos in the initiated Lunar's skin.

Divine Fire Marking
Cost: 8 motes, 1 Willpower, 1+ experience points
Duration: Varies
Type: Simple
Minimum Intelligence: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Form-Fixing Method
More than fixing one's form, a Lunar can draw in one's flesh the markings of power and magic, patterns of words and codes that open the gates for great power. Using this Charm, a Lunar can inscribe in one's flesh tattoos that work as Artifacts. Those Artifacts must make sense as tattoos(they may not be external weapons or props like Wings of the Raptor, and may not be armor any heavier than Light, and nothing that possesses a Repair rating) and take the normal time to be created, and all usual Charms that aid in their Creation still apply, although the ingredients need to be melt with the Magical Materials as metallic ink.

The recipient of the tattoos can do other things in the meantime, as long as she takes a few hours every week to have them inscribed, but if she is hurt down to her -2 Health Levels it cuts by half the work already done in the tattoos, and if she is hurt down to her -4 Health Level, then the work is completely lost. This Charm costs 1 Experience Point per level of the artifact and the motes remain committed for the duration of the work. This Charm can only be used in Lunars unless the character possesses Silver Calibration Marking which allows this Charm to be applied to non-Lunars at double its cost.

Moon-Chasing Chrysanthemum Pattern
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Intelligence: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Form-Fixing Method
With this Charm, the Lunar attunes her tattoos to the Essence that flows through the fabric of Creation, allowing her to draw upon that force with greater ease. The character's natural Essence regeneration rates are all doubled. This includes Essence regeneration from relaxation, Manses, Demesnes and Hearthstones. The character may even absorb Essence from a Manse or Demesne she is not attuned to; she regenerates four motes of Essence per level of unattuned Manse or Demesne per hour.

Lighting Essence Infusion
Cost: 10 motes
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Simple
Minimum Intelligence: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Moon-Chasing Chrysanthemum Pattern
The Lunar pours a molten precious metal into tattoos he already has, infusing them with a new energy. This requires a Resources 3 purchase of a Magical Material. For the duration of this Charm, he can fully attune this Material at its base attunement cost, and without a roll. His tattoos glow continuously in the infused Material's colour while this Charm is in effect.

Silver Calibration Marking
Cost: 10 motes, 1 Willpower, 1 experience point
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Intelligence: 5
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Lighting Essence Infusion
This Charm permits a Lunar to inlay moonsilver tattoos into any living being, fixing its form. This has the same benefits as Caste tattooing for Lunar Exalted, but it only constrains the target's physical form, not the shape of his spirit. It constitudes a perfect defence against effects that change the target's shape, and costs 2 experience points to affect most unexalted targets. To affect an Exalted target, these tattoos must be made of moonsilver alloyed with the Magical Material the Exalt harmonizes with, and costs 3 experience points.

This Experience must be paid by the Lunar and the tattoo's beneficiary. Non-Lunars cannot hide the tattoos with Shapeshifting Magic, and have to use their own, less perfect resources to do so. This can be bought at character creation as a Tattoo Artifact ****. At the Storyteller's discretion, if the beneficiary is a player, he may have to play the Experience himself instead of the Lunar. This Charm takes several hours and must be performed under the light of the Full Moon.

Forged from Divine Steel
Cost: 10 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Simple
Minimum Intelligence: 5
Minimum Essence: 5
Prerequisite Charms: Lighting Essence Infusion
The bodies of the Lunar Exalted are in tune with heaven - they can naturally create Moonsilver, to form claws, teeth, and the scales of the divine dragons that are the Lunars. With Forged from Divine Steel, the Lunar's ability to create the Magical Material from their flesh reaches a new level. They are able to suffuse their form with it, impregnating their bones with the power, altering the appearance of the the Lunar’s form and granting new powers. Those who take on a form Forged from Divine Steel are no longer limited to Luna's favoured metal and are able to incorporate aspects from any Magical Material!

To do so they must pour the Magical Material on their Tattoos, melding them as per Lighting Essence Infusion. This requires the sacrifice of the equivalent Resources ***** purchase of the raw Magical Material, as the Lunar absorbs them in her tattoos and understands the precepts behind its magic, siffusing them in her form(Moonsilver only has a Resources ** requirement). The Lunar may not posses more than one Magical Material suffused in her form in this way - and while the Material remains suffused within her flesh the Lunar can attune to it as if she was was an Exalted of the appropriate kind.

The Lunar adds the Magical Material's bonus to the statistics of her unarmed attacks and to all Natural Weapons, which are now formed from that material (See Magical Materials.) The effects on the lunar's appearance - and other powers of being made out of Magical Materials - are noted below.

  • Orichalcum: The Lunar learns the way to shift her Form into the Sun's blessed material. Her Form becomes taller, more imposing; She grows a mane, a standard of feathers on her back, or some other great golden symbol of grandeur. Her anima receives a golden tint, and molten gold burns in her eyes as she spends peripheral essence. The nature of Orichalcum is to be perfect, solid, imperturbable, irreprensible.
    • The Lunar receives +4 to Bashing, Lethal and Aggravated Soak and Hardness.
  • Moonsilver: The easiest of all Magical Materials to master, Moonsilver comes naturally to all Lunars - many of their charms already create Moonsilver out of their flesh. But suffusing one's body with the Essence of the fluid metal of change has drastic effects even on a Child of Luna! The Lunar's form becomes more fluid, seeming to move in impossible ways with every step; And the Lunar's caste mark perpetually appears on her brow, and even if she is not casteless, it shifts constantly, going through all five castes in the span of a few minutes(every turn when excited or in combat, in the course of an hour if calm). The nature of Moonsilver is protean, ever-shifting.
    • The Lunar's every movement becomes fluid - ignoring all movement penalties and adding 2 to all Dodge, Athletics and Larceny rolls.
  • Starmetal: The Lunar suffuses her body with the essence of Starmetal, receiving an understanding of Fate and Heavens, touched by it. The edges of the Lunar's anima darken and fill with stars on the color of the Maiden of her choice - her anima becomes an harmonious night sky, and the same constellations can be seen on her eyes as she spends peripheral essence.
    • Protected by Fate, the Lunar subtracts 1 success from damage rolls, after soak is applied.
  • Soulsteel: The Lunar suffuses her body with the dark essence of Soulsteel. Her body becomes skeletal and gaunt, flesh over bones, its colors muted, even an Ascension form based on a glorious lion turning black, white, red and gray. As the Lunar spends Peripheral Essence, howling souls appear around her anima, which is a darker shade of silver than it once was. The nature of Soulsteel is hard, torturous.
    • The Lunar receives +2 to Bashing and Lethal soak and hardness.
    • The Lunar may consume blood to recover his essence, at 3 motes per health level.
  • Jade: The Lunar suffuses her body with the natural essence of one of the many colors of Jade. Her body gleams with scales of the chosen Jade color, and it possess outgrowths of them in places such as the shoulders - in the shapes of flames for Red, of swirls in releve in the skin for Black, or of thorny flowers for Green. As Peripheral Essence is spent, the Lunar's body drips small quantities of the element - smoke comes from her mouth and nostrils, she drips of water or petals fall from under her fingertips.
    • Additionally, Jade adds a different effect depending on its color:
    • Blue Jade knocks the enemy down with its winds. A victim struck by the Lunar’s Natural Attacks must roll Dexterity+Athletics with a difficulty equal to the Lunar’s Essence or be knocked prone by their gusts.
    • White Jade shakes the ground around the victim. A victim struck by the Lunar’s Natural Attacks loses dice equal to half the Lunar’s Essence(rounded up)on all physical dicepools until the end of her next turn.
    • Red Jade wreathes a person hit by it in flames. A victim struck by the Lunar’s Natural Attacks bursts into flames, having to soak lethal damage equal to the Lunar’s Essence +2, soaked separately. This fire gutters out after one turn.
    • Black Jade fills the victim’s lungs with water. The victim of her Natural Attacks loses the Lunar’s Essence to its Initiative for half that number(rounded up) of turns, as the victim struggles to clear the water from her lungs and throat.
    • Green Jade fills the weapons with thorny vines or sharp petal, colorful and deadly, adding half the Lunar’s Essence(rounded up) to the damage of his Natural Attacks.
  • Adamant: The Lunar suffuses her body with the essence of Adamant. Her eyes look like crystals, and so do her tattoos. When her anima goes iconic, there is something metallic in it, the iconic shape refracting light as it shines.
    • The Lunar adds +1 to Accuracy and Defense and subtracts 4 from the soak of any armor struck by her Natural Attacks.
    • The Lunar subtracts his essence from the enemy's when calculating the minimum damage of attacks dealt on him.
