Player Types
According to Robin Laws there are five types of roleplayers:
- Storyteller: The story is paramount.
- Method Actor: the character is paramount.
- Butt Kicker: How many monsters do I get to kill?
- Power Gamer: What cool artifact can i have today.
- Casual Gamer: It's nice to be with the guys
Players usually have the characteristics of multiple types. A good storyteller knows 'his types' and can thus give each player his moments.
