Background

The Adamant Division holds amoungst its number some of the best combatants in all of creation and beyond. Such combatants are far beyond human comprehension and leave them trembling with a sense of the sublime. Their may be better murderers, war machines or fighters out there but it is unlikely. Pure bloody carnage is rarely the specialty of these masters as there must be some focus on inner enlightenment, meditative refinement and disciplined honor to walk all the circuits of the world; to truly name oneself a Martial Artist. At the same time were anyone of the Adamant Division to set their mind to such wholesale slaughter the result would leave oceans in its wake.

The Styles listed are those the Storyteller should feel free to select from either parts of styles or whole styles depending on the power level of their game and the power level they wish to see the individual combatant at.

Cirrus</b>

<b>Type Twilight Caste Solar Exalted

History

Known primarily for his skill at sorcery until a few years ago, almost no one could have predicted that this scrawny sorcerer would eventually hold the top spot in the Adamant Division. An extremely pleasant fellow Cirrus is generally liked on the circuit by his fellow competitors. This is good though because the almost ADD like temperament he displays sometimes along with his supremely annoying fighting style would drive most contestants mad. Cirrus fights in the name of the Celestial Monkey Style and is one of its foremost practitioners in Creation. A deep believer in its combative application and its philosophy on life Cirrus is quick to talk about it with anyone who wants to but wary of teaching it to all but the most balanced. While Cirrus carries a Reaper Daiklave on his hip he never seems to draw it and instead uses a pair of Nunchuka named Calm and Chaos.

Nadia</b>

<b>Type Night Caste Solar Exalted

History

An extremely aggressive person in fighting style and personality, even Nadia’s close friends say it takes years to truly warm up to her and visa versa. Nadia is probably the greatest Tiger Stylist in Creation, having taken the training in its philosophy and movements to an extreme degree. It is often said that she is more tiger then human and if that were true it would explain some of her more peculiar habits. Nadia always fights as a Ronin, but she has a burning Hatred for slavery and might one day even cross the line and break tournament rules if it means taking another slaver down. Nadia is rarely seen not wearing her Orichalcum Tiger Claws, Primordial Talons.

Ryoko</b>

<b>Type Night Caste Solar Exalted – Inquisitor for the Cult of the Illuminated

History

A girl from Nexus with a troubled past, Ryoko seems to have found a bit of peace since joining the Sequestered Tabernacle and the Cult as a whole. This peace might have come at cost though, for while the Tabernacle has raised her self-esteem to new heights her love of combat and blood seems to have grown as well. While to restrained to murder anyone in the ring without tournament approval first, she will not show as much restraint if you push her buttons out of the after the tournament is done. Ryoko always fights in the name of the Sequestered Tabernacle and is one of the top Dreaming Pearl combatants to walk Creation today.

Father Granite</b>

<b>Type Earth Aspected Dragonblood

History

Father Granite used to be a prolific fighter on the martial arts circuits of the Realm and the Scavenger Lands when he used to go by the name Unbreakable Marble. Born an Outcaste fighting was a way of life for him and with the help of the correct teachers and friends like Emerald Wish he became extraordinarily good at it. As a non-immaculate celestially initiated Dragonblood Father Granite, who now fights for one last chance at glory before death, is a force to be reckoned with, even at his advanced age. Father Granite’s fighting style involves a supreme economy of motion. His only movements in the early part of a fight are to deflect blows away or at least into less vital areas of his extremely stone like body. When the opportunity presents itself however he will attempt to grapple his opponent using his White Jade Wrackstaff, Creation’s Core, and grind them into dust.

Pyrefuel</b>

<b>Type Fire Aspected Dragonblood

History

An immaculate monk from chiaroscuro, Pyre Fuel only regularly competes in the southern tournaments, although he goes where the Realm wills him. He is often a stoic competitor, preferring quiet resolve and fervor to more emotional and full throttle combat tactics. His stoicism does have its limits though, particularly when he is losing or has lost. There is a story that he once off-handedly killed a mortal trainer of his when he tried to help him up after having lost a match to an Anathema. Pyre Fuel while having no love loss for Anathema does respect the rules of a tournament and if death is not allowed or death matches have to be accepted then he respects that fully while the tournament is going on. Pyre Fuel is a man of exceptional skill and grace and uses the Immaculate Styles to strip his opponent of all their skill before going in for the winning blow.

Mnemon Keryn Koen</b>

<b>Type Wood Aspected Dragonblood

History

Koen is the daughter of the head of her sub-family, Mnemon Keryn. She is a perfectionist in all ways, but despite being a little on edge and high strung she is quite the affable person. She fights for House and Realm at every tournament she goes too, and secretly hopes to impress her father more and more with each victory. Despite being a graduate of the Cloister, Heptagram, and the House of Well-Flavored Aspect with a successful career as an architect she dreams of retiring from that line of work soon and living off her reputation and winnings as a fighter. Koen’s fighting style centers around speed and distance. Koen does have one flaw though, and that is the lack of absolute confidence in her abilities, which often rears its head and causes her down fall in key situations.

Azure Flame</b>

History

Azure Flame leads a duel life. To the world he is known as an Immaculate Monk with a reputation to fit his title. To only a select few he is Mnemon Keryn Saris a spy and protector for his adopted house. Found in the Threshold by Mnemon Keryn during Keryn’s travels abroad, Saris feels that he owes Keryn everything for helping achieve so much after coming from so little. He always fights as Azure Flame and always for House and Realm. The real reason for competing though is not a love of fighting but a way to gauge various Ananthemas’ power levels and to drive Mnemon Kryn Koen to not fail. Azure Flame fights with two short Red Jade Hook Swords which go by the names Restraint and Fury.

Zu Salu</b>

Zu Salu is a celebrated master of the Zu Rat Te style of Even Blade. He fights to prove his master’s style is the best and relishes the chance to play the underdog so he can show just how dominant it can be. While a rather likable individual Zu Salu was raised in the Threshold and as such dislikes and feels uncomfortable talking with any Anathema. He will always fight in the name of the his master’s style and incidentally has become a sort of inadvertent rival to Lusa Seragon due to the fact that they always seem to fight each of at Kokage’s Flame Tournament and the match always seems to end in a double knockout.

Golem of Death's Coil</b>

<b>Type Dusk Caste Abyssal Exalted

History

An Abyssal under an unknown Deathlord, Golem wanders from tournament to tournament and has quickly gained a reputation as being one of the premiere martial artists in Creation today. Unlike most Abyssals his martial arts reputation is for positive and honorable reasons. Golem typically fights as a ronin, but there must be some greater purpose to his fighting as why else would his Deathlord have him do it, although there is a rumor that he has no Deathlord at all. His fighting style is that of pure power and aggression. From the moment the fight starts Golem seeks to pulverize his opponent with his fists and his nearly inescapable grapples.

Tirian Fordring</b>

History

Not much is known about Tirian Fordring. Some important people seem to know his name and some have even claimed to travel with him for a time, but when asked none can give any answers to questions about him. This type of secrecy and mystery is also how he prefers to fight. Cloaking his moves in shadow and darkness Tirian is a deadly combatant for even the most stalwart of foes. Tirian will either fight as a Ronin or in the name of the tournament he organizes every year in Kajeth. There is also rumor that Tirian has tried to teach several members of the circuit, but all attempts have met with failure. An odd occurrence for one so skilled, but then again maybe that is just the price he pays for his obscurity.

History

Acid Score hails from the sweltering desert that is the far south. He has a somewhat harsh disposition and lacks what most consider to be any sense of humor. He fights as a ronin officially, but the real reason he fights is a burning need to protect what is his, and he feels that by showing off his prowess none will come to claim the domain that he has built up for himself within the dunes of the southern desert. Acid Score’s fighting strategy is to use his supreme constitution and poison to where down the other opponent until he or she cannot defend themselves from his moonsilver claws of tail.

A stern looking woman with the complexion of well worn stone, Kirigasa Lei Han hails from Lookshy and is on of the Kirigasa lines brightest stars. The leader of a well trained combat team named the Shield Bearers, Lei Han fights in their name as their selfless leader. She wishes all to know the might of the Shield Bearers, and just what it means to oppose them. Another spear wielding combatant, Lei Han specializes in the use of Crimson Pentacle Blade as well as several other styles that focus around her chosen weapons aptly named Shard of the Mountain and Ever-Ready Bulwark.
