Golden Bull Style

Bull’s Fortitude</b>

The Golden Bull practitioner can activate this charm only when he has been struck in combat. For every two dice of pre-soak damage he may roll a single dice, each success immediately adds one mote to his essence pool before damage is applied, to a maximum number of motes equal to his Martial Arts score.


Hide of the Golden Bull</b>

Prereqs: Bull’s Fortitude

Taping the power of the Golden Bull the Exalt hardens his flesh and muscles; for the rest of the scene he may add his Martial Arts score to his bashing soak.


Bull’s Will Technique</b>

Min. Essence: 2
Prereqs: Bull’s Fortitude

The Exalt draws upon the rage and pain of the wounded Bull to refill his own will. This charm can only be activated when the character is taking lethal or aggravated damage from an attack. For each level of damages he receives he may roll one die. Each success returns a temporary willpower to him. No more willpower may be regained in this way in a single turn than his Martial Arts score.

The Exalt focuses his will and essence into his hands, momentarily hardening them to the strength of a bull’s horn. The Exalt may make a martial arts attack that deals lethal damage. However this charm cannot be used to parry lethal attacks with bare hands unless a stunt is used. This charm also provides the Exalt with the piercing power of a bulls horns, and it treats the defender's soak as though it were lowered by the attacker's Martial Arts score.


Golden Bull Form</b>

Prereqs: Horns of the Golden Bull, Hide of the Golden Bull, Bull’s Will Technique

After damage is rolled but before it is applied to the Exalt using Golden Bull form a number of lethal levels up to the character's martial arts score are converted into bashing. Golden Bull Form does nothing for existing damage, it only converts damage as applied. The character using Golden Bull Form can choose to deal Lethal or Bashing damage with any barehanded or Martial Arts weapon attack, and can parry lethal attacks with his bare hands without a stunt. This Charm is not compatible with armor. Only one Form-Type Charm can be active at a time, if the character activates another Form-Type charm Golden Bull Form is immediately canceled.


Bull’s Foot Method</b>

This charm momentarily roots the character to the ground, like a bull digging in its heels. The character may ignore any one-knockback or knockdown effect. The character also adds his permanent essence to his soak to resist the attack causing the knockback or knockdown.


Bull’s Charge Technique</b>

The Exalt activating this charm must have at least three yards to move towards his target before making their attack. If the attack is successful then additional attack successes are doubled, and the target suffers one yard of knockback per level of damage inflicted.


Virtue of the Bull’s Valor</b>

Channeling the mighty rage of the Golden Bull, the Exalt's hands and feet crackle with energy. For a number of turns equal to his permanent Esence the Golden Bull Martial Artist, may add their Valor to all attack and damage dice pools. These bonuses are explicitly separate and stack with any and all other bonuses even if this would take their dice pools higher than their normal maximum. Activating this charm automatically raises the character's limit by a point.


Virtue of the Bull’s Conviction</b>

Channeling the sheer stubborn might of the Golden Bull the Exalt becomes immune to all mind effecting charms and sorceries for a number of turns equal to his permanent Essence. This includes but is not limited to Unbreakable Fascination Kata, Twisted Words Technique, and Hypnotic Tongue Technique. It does not include emotional effects such as Terrifying Apparition of Glory or Heart Compelling Method. Activating this charm automatically raises the character's limit by a point.


Virtue of the Bull’s Compassion</b>

<b>Cost: 3 motes, 1 Temp Compassion

Channeling the power of the Golden Bull at play or protecting the young the martial artist attempts to keep himself safe from harm. A golden aura surrounds him and for a number of turns equal to his permanent Essence the character may add his Compassion to his Lethal and Bashing Soak scores, as well as any dodge or parry dice pool. These bonuses are explicitly separate and stack with any and all other bonuses even if this would take their dice pools higher than their normal maximum. Activating this charm automatically raises the character's limit by a point.


Virtue of the Bull’s Temperance</b>

Channeling the wisdom and insight of the Golden Bull the Exalt becomes immune to Essence effecting charms and sorceries for a number of turns equal to his permanent Essence. This includes but is not limited to Essence Dowsing Wave Attack, Power Draining Whisper, and Protection from Anathema Method. Activating this charm automatically raises the character's limit by a point.


Power of the Golden Bull</b>

Prereqs: Virtue of the Bull’s Compassion, Virtue of the Bull’s Valor

Filling himself with the Totemic might of the Golden Bull, the martial artist adds his permanent Essence to his Strength and Dexterity scores for the remainder of the scene, becoming a virtual combat god. Just like Increasing Strength Exercise, these ingresses are magical and do not count as natural scores for the use of other charms.


Golden Bull Gore</b>

The Exalt channels the sheer unstoppable power of the Golden Bull’s mighty horns through his hands. The Exalt may make a single martial arts attack, and this attack cannot be dodged or blocked, but must be made with the Exalts bare hands. The perfect defenses of the Solar Exalted (Seven Shadow Evasion, Heavenly Guardian Defense) are proof against this attack as they are proof against all others.


Perfect Golden Horn Method</b>

<b>Cost: 10 motes, 1 willpower

Prereqs: Power of the Golden Bull, Golden Bull Gore

The Exalt focuses all his power into a single mighty attack. This charm cannot be combo’ed with any Extra Action type charms. If the blow is successful then no damage dice are rolled, and every dice remaining after soak is considered an automatic success. This however is not the most potent power of the Perfect Golden Horn Method. The most potent power is that if the target's total maximum essence pool is lower then the total maximum essence pool of the Exalt using this charm then the Exalt's essence washes past all defenses like a wave and the target may not apply soak of any kind. This generally makes the attack instantly fatal, should it land.
