An old style I had lying around... created in the hey days of the Original Exalted Compendium for Val. The 1e Version can be found by clicking here or here

I've employed the powers of copy pasta. But there are also new charms in here as well as elimination of charms that don't fit the style.

In any event, I give to you...

Spirited Steel Hurricane Style by Haku
Celestial Martial Arts [2nd Edition Exalted]

Countless years ago in a long gone age, there once lived a solar. Great was his pride in the Grand Daiklave that his beloved had forged for him in the heydays after the Primordial War. Possessing a passion and ability beyond mortal men, the solar decided to honor his beloved's gift by creating a style of fighting centered upon it.

Desiring to show to all of Creation his love, he decided to create the style a martial arts style that could be used by all... if they were skilled in the arts of battle. That decided upon, he meditated upon the essence of his weapon and that of the weather that afflicted the particular cliff he met his beloved at.

The martial arts style that resulted of his meditation is simply known only as the Spirited Steel Hurricane style. And truly this style was at a level not normally seen with Celestial Martial Arts in that age and rightly feared for the simple reason that none of the other styles at its level could permit their practioneers to utterly demolish an entire mountain with a single puissant strike.

To learn any of the charms of the style, the martial artist must possess a minimum rating of 3 in Melee. The style's weapons are Great Swords and Grand Daiklaves. The style's charms may be used while wearing any armour, this however isn't usually needed and is typically scoffed at by practictioners.

The style, it should be noted, does not have any defensive charms in it. Its users typically employ charms from other martial art styles or abilities (such as melee or dodge) for defense.

Charms

01 ) Prelude to Destruction Glance
Cost : 2 motes + 1 mote per target
Type : Simple
Duration : Instant
Keywords : Combo-basic, compulsion
Minimums : Martial Arts 2, Essence 2
Requires : none
To know the storms and hurricanes of creation is to know fear. To gaze at the approach of one is to see one's death. To master the Spirited Steel Hurricane Style, the martial artist must develop a murderous aura that her lesser sees their death and utter doom in and flinchs away from.

A glance exchanged between the martial artist and his opponent(s) allows his killing intent to be transmited by the force of his essence. The martial artist pays 2 motes to activate his charm and 1 mote per target (up to a limit of the martial artist's essence), he then rolls (Manipulation + Martial Arts ) against a difficulty of (Opponent's Mental DV).

Success inflicts a scene-long internal penalty on the victim equal to (Martial Artist's Essence) when attacking the martial artist, in any way. This penalty can be negated with a reflexive valor roll at difficulty 2, the roll may be made once every action with no cost. Any botchs with this valor roll will result in the target running away screaming in fear and horror or standing there quaking unable to do anything. Alternatively instead of doing the valor roll, the victim may spend 2 willpower to gain immunity to the effect for the rest of the scene.

This charm may be used outside of combat to intimidate one's lessers. This charm has no effect on those who know no fear, and those who truly can not sense the martial artist

02 ) Misfortunes of the storm
Cost : 5 motes
Type : Supplemental
Duration : Instant
Keywords : Combo-Ok
Minimums : Martial Arts 3, Essence 2
Requires : none
The ravanging power of the storm can be strong enough that houses can be ripped away from their foundations, trees toppled. The martial artist seeks to emulate the fury of the storm by tearing away that which is held by his opponents.

Paying 5 motes, the martial artist may enhance his disarming attempt. For the purpose of disarming his opponent, the successes rolled are counted twice. The successes gained by this charm do count towards the natural excellency limit.

03 ) Fortunes of the storm's aftermath
Cost : 3 motes
Type : Reflexive (step 1, step 2)
Duration : Instant
Keywords : Combo-Ok, Obvious
Minimums : Martial Arts 3, Essence 2
Requires : none
In the aftermath of a powerful storm, many are the fortunes found and reversed. A wise scavenger of the beach in the west can find much left behind by the storm, from the wreckages of mortal ships to even artifacts from sunken Realm ships that fell afoul of the storm.

Like the scavenger, the martial artist finds what he needs when he needs it. His weapon will fly to his hands at the payment of 3 motes, allowing him to quickly be armed in times of conflict. Should he be disarmed, his weapon can return to him with a gesture.

The charm only affects the form weapon that the martial artist has used in the last 2 actions or that he owns. If said weapon is attuned by another, the charm will fail. The martial artist must also either be able to see the weapon or know exactly where it is.

04 ) Storm's inevitability
Cost : 6 motes and 1 willpower
Type : Simple (Speed 4, DV -3)
Duration : Scene
Keywords : Combo-basic
Minimums : Martial Arts 4, Essence 2
Requires : Prelude to Destruction Glance, Misfortunes of the storm, Fortunes of the storm's aftermath
The destruction of the storm is such that there are those who curse it when they see it approaching them, hoping that it slows down or mayhaps leave them alone. There are also those who wish to hasten it with prayers that it may ravish their enemies. The storm heeds them not. It comes and goes at the behest of the celestial order, not that of mortal men.

The martial artist understands the inevitability of the storm and is enlightened. While this charm is active, all of the martial artist's attacks are locked at speed 4, no charm or effect (such as the speed of the weapon used) can increase it or decrease it.

05 ) Spirited Steel Hurricane Form
Cost : 5 motes
Type : Simple
Duration : Scene
Keywords : Form-Type
Minimums : Martial Arts 4, Essence 2
Requires : Storm's inevitability
With a brief bow to sister sky in thanks for the power lent to him, the martial artist does a violent and snappy kata that emphasises swift, brutal strikes much resembling that being caught in a hurricane.

Once the kata ends, the martial artist finds himself free of oversized weapon penalties while using his style weapons, and thus may use the style weapon in a single hand.

He also finds that he may use a warstrider-sized version of his style weapon without penalty, even if he doesn't meet the strength requirements. Attunement is not necessary for the martial artist to use said an artifact weapon without penalty (use base statistics without 5MM bonus) as long as it's a style weapon.

To further emulate the destructive powers of a hurricane, the martial artist can add her martial arts score to her athletics for the sole purpose of lifting and breaking things.

The martial artist may only have a single martial arts form charm active at any given time, activating a second form charm while one is running will terminate the first form charm running.

06 ) Raging Storm
Cost : 5 motes
Type : Simple
Duration : Instant
Keywords : Combo-Ok, Obvious
Minimums : Martial Arts 4, Essence 3
Requires : Spirited Steel Hurricane Form
The fury of a lightning bolt can not be compared, it will break even the strongest of beings, bringing them to their knees.

The martial artist holds his fist or weapon high, gathering power before striking the ground with such fury that it shatters under him. The sundering of the ground spreads outwards from the martial artist in a circular pattern. A furious gale accompanied by crescent claws of lightning races with the spreading cracks and shattered ground. Those caught by the gale and lightning are thrown to the ground after being battered by the essence discharge.

The martial artist makes a martial arts attack roll as he activates the charm. The radius (not diameter) of the effect is equal to (the martial artist's essence x 10) yards. Everyone caught within the effect's range need to make a reflexive Stamina and Athletics roll at a difficulty equal to the result of the martial arts roll. A failure means that they suffer the effects of knockdown (Exalted 2E Corebook - page 153) as they are thrown to the ground violently.

A botch sends them to an inactive state for 5 ticks as they struggle to clear their heads. They are still knocked down to the ground and also take (Martial Artist's Essence) die in bashing damage, soaked as normal. The charm attack is considered an area effect.

For those willing to do stunts, this charm can be performed using a high ax kick or a stomp to the ground.

07 ) Furious Gale Slice
Cost : 8 Motes
Type : Simple
Duration : Instant
Keywords : Combo-Ok, Obvious
Minimums : Martial Arts 4, essence 4
Requires : Raging Storm
The gale winds within the hurricane can tear and rip apart all who are caught by the force of nature. The martial artist spins about, a contrail of essence flaring behind the path of his blow that spins outwards. Certain martial artists tend to have miniature whirlwinds forming around them momentarily.

The player makes a single martial arts attack roll as normal, while everyone around him in a radius of (essence x 10) yards may defend as normal. The attacks are resolved as normal. This charm may not be placed in a flurry, magical or otherwise. Nor may it be comboed with extra action charms. The charm attack is considered an area effect.

08 ) Tidal Wave Crushes All
Cost : 4 motes
Type : Supplemental
Duration : Instant
Keywords : Combo-Ok
Minimums : Martial Arts 4, essence 3
Requires : Spirited Steel Hurricane Form
The tidal waves that occassional accompany a hurricane are horrific as all who have witnessed such events would testify; given their ability to flatten all before them. The only recourse for mortals, even mighty exalts, is to flee the force of nature, lest they be crushed by the wall of water surging relentless at them.

The martial artist allows his essence to surge down his arm as he strikes, letting his blow gain great crushing power. The attack enhanced by this charm treats the target's Parry DV as 0 before the use of charms. The attack is otherwise resolved as normal.

09 ) World Shattering Typhoon
Cost : 4 motes
Type : Supplemental
Duration : Instant
Keywords : Combo-Ok, Obvious
Minimums : Martial Arts 5, Essence 4
Requires : Tidal Wave Crushes All
There are legends that there shall come a dreadful day when Creation must come to an end... the legends vary on the hows and whens... but one thing is consistent, that there shall come a storm of such terrifying magnitute that Creation as it is would be shattered. With lightning bolts that shatter mountains accompanied by rain and hail. And in that aftermath would the true ending come; generally with fire, earthquakes and the Yozi Princes dancing on the rubble of Creation with the Fey Nobles.

This charm permits the martial artist to give a taste of what the end of the world would be like in a single blow as the power of his blow is magnified to unspeakable levels.

The martial artist pays 4 motes to double his attack's presoak damage calculation. Any 10s rolled on the damage roll is considered to be 2 successes.

10 ) Words lost to the Winds
Cost : 4 motes and 1 willpower
Type : Simple
Duration : Scene
Keywords : Combo-basic, Obvious
Minimums : Martial Arts 4, Athletics 3, Essence 3
Requires : Spirited Steel Hurricane Form
The gale winds of the hurricane are such that those who walk in it lose what they hold precious. Where those precious objects and words go, none can say... still, they flutter hither and thither, carried by the wind.

Letting his body relax and flow almost like a leaf carried by storm winds, the martial artist finds that he may almost fly about the battle field.

For the rest of the scene, the martial artist finds his Dash and Move traits doubled. As long as there is a surface beneath his feet, no matter how flimsy, the martial artist will find no trouble finding a footing, even upside down. The charm ends should the martial artist not make a Dash or Move action on any given tick.

11 ) Ride the Lightning
Cost : 3 motes + 2 motes per additional tick
Type : Simple
Duration : Instant
Keywords : Combo-Ok, Obvious
Minimums : Martial Arts 5, Essence 3
Requires : Words lost to the Winds
The crack of thunder is heard long after the lightning bolt has struck and faded from sight. But in that instance, the bolt itself travels a long distance from the clouds in the heavens to strike the rude earth and those on it. The martial artist understands that there is power to be found in being able to strike at targets far away.

The martial artist spends 3 motes and makes a normal martial arts attack roll as he throws her weapon in a relative straight path like that of a lightning bolt at a distant opponent. The target may defend as normal against the attack as if it were a ranged attack.

To prevent the loss of her weapon, the martial artist then hops on the blade as it soars across battlefield. If the target is outside of the range (or dodges with a moving dodge charm), the martial artist can spend another 2 motes to continue flying across the sky. If doing continuous chasing/dodges, both martial artist and targets continue to do attack and defend as normal per action, until the martial artist wins the roll or terminates the charm. The range of the attack is (essence x 10) per tick.

Soaring through the battlefield at incredible speeds to reach her target, the exalt becomes nearly unassailable. While flying, the martial artist becomes unable to attack anyone outside of his target, however, no one can attack him without being able to take down mounted or flying targets (i.e. those with weapons that possess the reach tag). This charm requires the martial artist to have a weapon in hand.

12 ) Assumption of the Steel Hurricane Spirit
Cost : 10 motes
Type : Simple
Duration : Scene
Keywords : Obvious
Minimums : Martial Arts 5, Melee 5, Essence 5
Requires : Furious Gale Slice, World Shattering Typhoon, Ride the Lightning
The martial artist strikes the air, his blows clawing and pulling at the very concept, the quintessence of air. This kata is anything, but subtle, as the winds howl as if there were a hurricane screaming in tune with the martial artist's movements. At the end of the smooth flowing motions, there is a silence as Creation holds its breath before the martial artist is buffed with streams of air lifting him up as incandescent lightning crackles off his frame. Once he lands, the martial artist's every action leaves behind an after-image as he moves inhumanly swift while lightning continues to crawl over his body.

With this charm, the martial artist imbues himself with the power of the hurricane spirits. An unstoppable force now, the martial artist finds that creation is now literally slower, as he moves and reacts far faster than mortals, even exalted ones.

During every action, the martial artist may perform a number of actions equal to his essence. Each "action" has a normal speed for whatever the martial artist does. Each action granted is a full normal 'extra' action, and not part of a flurry. Each 'extra' action may be further subdivided into normal flurries. This charm's effect is incompatiable with extra action charms.

Surrounded by a corona of lightning, the martial artist can do lethal damage with any unarmed attack. Should he be in a clinch, his opponent takes 1 die of damage every tick, which may be soaked as normal.
