Natural Weapons
Arsenal of Flesh Method
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Strength: 2
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: None.
The Lunar becomes a master of the many ways to create ways to kill with his body. Upon purchasing of this Charm, the Lunar receives a Natural Weapon with a number of points to distribute on its statistics(Speed, Accuracy, Damage, Defense and Rate) equal to twice her highest virtue. No single statistic may be increased by more than the Lunar's Essence, and it has the Lunar's Essence as its base damage(which is added to the Lunar's base strength when attacking, as usual) and Rate 1.
This weapon may be any sort of implement, from claws to teeth to horns... some are better simulated by taking one iteration of Mastery of the Silver Armory, below. The Lunar can buy another Natural Weapon by paying 4 Experience Points or 2 Bonus Points. Those weapons become natural characteristics of the Lunar, part of her forms. He may manifest them by paying 3 motes, as a reflexive action that does not count as a charm use, and make them disappear whenever he wishes. Those weapons count as Moonsilver weapons, but without any Magical Material Bonus, and do allow the character to parry lethal damage.
Silver-Blessed Edge
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Strength: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: A Natural Weapon
The Lunar spends some time shifting his natural weaponry under the moonlight; Learning just how to work her form to make her natural weapons faster, stronger, deadlier. Upon purchase of this Charm, the Lunar distributes a number of points between his Natural Weapon(Either gained with Arsenal of the Flesh, his Totem Form, Ascension or any other mean) profile equal to her highest base physical attribute. This Charm may only be bought once per Natural Weapon the Lunar posseses, and may only enhance a single weapon once. Allocating points to range of ranged weapons adds +50 yards to it. When Enhancing Ranged Weapons, each point adds 50 yards to the range of arrows, 30 yards to the range of Thrown weapons.
Mastery of the Silver Armory
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Strength: 2
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: A Natural Weapon
The Lunar who possesses this Charm is a master in crafting deadly implement with his body! Prized by the Full Moon above all, this Charm represents the understanding of the myriad of ways to enhance natural weapons with deadly prowess. Every time this Charm is purchased, the Lunar receives one Gift to apply to one of his natural weapons(Either gained with Arsenal of the Flesh, his Totem Form, Ascension or any other mean). For every weapon, this Charm may be purchased a number of times equal to the Lunar's Essence. However, when buying this Charm to give a gift one already possess in another weapon, the Charm costs only half(rounded down) its usual experience cost.
Gifts include:
- Mighty Bull Horns: The Lunar's natural weapon becomes pointed and hard, ready to be used to charge through foes and obstacles alike. Double the Natural Weapon's base damage when in a charge.
- Savage Silver Talons: The Lunar's natural weapon becomes more intricate, swirling symbols channeling the Lunar's celestial might to it, its edge flashing in a blood red tinge as the weapon is hardened, strenghtened. The weapon enhanced this way does heroic damage - it counts all 10s in the damage roll as two successes.
- Thrice-Sharp Lunar Edge: The natural weapon becomes sharper, light flowing over its edge, as it cuts light and air on its way. The weapon becomes Piercing, halving the soak of all armor defending against it.
- Shifting Faces of the Moon: The silver weapon shifts just as Luna shifts her phases; At the start of every turn, the Lunar may shift a number of points equal to his Essence from a weapon stat to another. It may be more than two stats modified this way, but no more points may be shifted than the Lunar's Essence.
- Flesh-Rending Talons: The natural weapon receives thousand tiny hooks on it, barbed uneven, made to skin his prey. The weapon the weapon's base damage is doubled, but the defender's armour soak is doubled again it.
- Pushing the Tides of Creation: Each strike of this weapon is accompanied by the sound of currents moving under the moonlight, or some other sound of a calm water's movement, just at the moment of impact. It can always inflict knockback at the user's option, the distance of which is tripled. (I.e., one damage die, before soak, results in one yard of knockback.)
- Scepter of Endless Change: The natural weapon becomes something impossible, out of a dream, a chorus of crystallized dreams echoing around it, as it receives the authority of Luna over the tides of the Wyld. With this Gift, the natural weapon becomes a Shaping Weapon of the Sword.
- Ghost-Beast Touch: The natural weapon becomes ethereal, its edge fading into moonlight into the infinity of the divine world. The Lunar's natural weapon becomes able to damage immaterial spirits as if they were materialized.
- Shape-Drinking Razors: The weapon drinks from the enemy's wounds, giving the Lunar back 2 motes for every Health Level dealt on the enemies. This does not drain their essence - the Lunar is instead draining their shape, already taken in the Health Levels. The Lunar may not recover more motes per turn than his Stamina+Endurance.
- Diamond-Vise Jaws: The Weapon is like a wolf's jaw or a scorpion's claw, designed to hold its prey still while they are devoured. This Gift makes the Natural Weapon a Clinch Enhancer.
Wrought in Divine Silver
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Strength: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Silver-Blessed Edge, Mastery of the Silver Armory
Many a Lunar ability is able to bring Moonsilver out of their flesh. That material is alive, and its alchemy resides on the shard of each and every Lunar. The Lunar who learns this Charm understands this alchemy, and suffuses her Natural Weapons with the divinity of Silver - forever after, all of the Lunar's Natural Weapons receive the Moonsilver Magical Material bonus. Characters with Lighting Essence Infusion active shift may shift their Natural Weapon visuals and Magical Material Bonus to that of the Magical Material infused in his tatoos.
Weapon Fusion Method
Cost: 6 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Strength: 4
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: None.
With this method, the Lunar imbeds a weapon in his flesh, turning it into an extension of the Lunar body, which he may use with his Melee, Brawl or Martial Arts abilities, always counting as an unarmed attack, and a natural weapon. This is a natural weapons last only as long as the scene does, and is not a permanent profile possessed by the Lunar - therefore, Permanent Charms that enhance Natural Weapons, such as Silver-Blessed Edge, cannot enhance it. The Full Moon anima is fully able to, however.
Multiple Limbs
A Hundred Hands
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Dexterity: 2
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: None.
The Lunar becomes greatly adept at changing his body, charging it with essence, increasing its mass and shaping it in the form of Extra Limbs. The Lunar can form extra limbs with surprising ease, and receives one type of those per purchase of the Charm. Some of those possess combat statistics, but they do not count as natural weapons - a weapon may, however, be added to them, and their statistics stack. Some of them possess advanced versions, which the Lunar can use with a second purchase of this Charm.
Those limbs become natural characteristics of the Lunar, part of his forms. He may manifest them by paying 4 motes, as a reflexive action that does not count as a charm use, and make them disappear whenever he wishes. When one purchases this Charm a second time to enhance one type(like Tentacles becoming Tentacle Spears) all such extra limbs are changed to the new type. This charm adds few extra limbs - no more than four, usually. A greater array of limbs can be purchased with Array of a Thousand Limbs, below. Dice added by a limb counts as a sort of Specialty, and has no impact in the Lunar's dice-adding limits.
- Extra Arms: The Lunar receives a few Extra Arms, adding three dice to all clinch attempts!
- Wings: The Lunar receives strong wings(or more likely, reinforces those already there with the ability to fight and protect). They have the same statistics as the Lunar's kick attacks. They are also grand, and protect the Lunar like a Target Shield - adding 1 to the difficulty of striking him in melee combat, and 2 to the difficulty of striking him in ranged combat. This does stack with normal shields.
- Tail: The Lunar gains a Tail, which improves his balance and can be used to manipulate objects if he so desires, adding three dice to all athletics rolls!
- Stinger: The Lunar receives a Stinger tail, which has a range of (The Lunar's Essence x3 in yards) and adds +3 to his unarmed damage(including that of any Natural Weapon placed in the Stinger), along with all the benefits of a Tail.
- Tentacles: The Lunar gains Tentacles that have a reach equal to (The Lunar's Essence x2 in yards). Alternatively, his hair might take a life of its own, acting as if it were tentacles. They deal Bashing Damage regardless of what the Lunar's natural attacks would deal. The Lunar may clinch targets with his tentacles and still move and do other actions as long as he spends one action to mantain the clinch. He may clinch no more targets at once with tentacles than half his Essence(rounded up).
- Tentacle Spear: The Tentacles increase their reach to (The Lunar's Essence x5 in yards) and deal normal damage.
- Snakes: The Lunar receives snakes that come out of his flesh. Those have the statistics of the Lunar's punch, and a reach equal to the Lunar's Essence in yards. Upon striking a foe, they deal damage equal to a Coral Snake Venom. If a Lunar possesses the Unsurpassed Silver Venom Ascension Charm, or the Silver-Blessed Serpent Charm and uses this Charm, he may choose the Snakes to deal its poison instead. The snakes deals lethal damage.
- Coiled Serpents: Same as above, but their reach increases to (The Lunar's Essence x3) and they become able to clinch.
Those limbs may be enhanced by Natural Weapons as usual. Any Natural Weapon may be the same for both hands and feet and jaw, or the Lunar may buy new ones for every limb... and the same holds true for his Extra Limbs. They may share the same weapon as the Lunar's hands or not, as he prefers.
Array of a Thousand Limbs
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Dexterity: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: A Hundred Hands, Dexterity of the Moon-Kissed
The Lunar receives many more of a single type of extra limbs, receiving the limbs of a centipede, the tentacles of an Octopus... or just plainly becoming better at using each and every limb he already possesses! Every time this Charm is purchased, the Lunar decreases the penalty for taking multiple actions in a turn by 1. This Charm may not be bought more times than half the Lunar's Essence, rounded up.
Serpent of Savage Will
Cost: 4 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Dexterity: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Silver-Soul's Dexterity, Silver-Soul's Wits.
The human body is built with a clear configuration in mind, one of two legs and two arms and nothing further. But Lunars possess many other appendages... wings, tails, extra arms, tentacles, prehensile hair. They move with the Lunar, but crafty Lunars know ways to make those beastly features move on their own accord, complementin the Lunar's every movement in way no normal limb could. By pouring their lower soul's will within their beastly features, they imbue them with a bestial mind that responds to the Lunar's instincs, acting exactly as they wish to. The limbs act with a dice pool equal to the character's Dexterity, plus its statistics(it has to have combat statistics, however) and does so independently of the character, rolling its own separate initiative(with just Dexterity, no Wits)
The limbs may parry for the Lunar(as a separate defense that may stack with the Lunar's own parry or dodge), attack any enemy on its range, clinch an enemy if it is able, hold objects, or anything else the limbs can conceivably achieve. The Lunar may use Charms to enhance those actions as if they were his own, but they happen wholly separate, outside of any Simple Charms or Extra Action Charms the Lunar uses. In a turn a Lunar uses Charms, including even Extra Action Charms, he may use them again for the extra limb, by paying all the costs once again.
This charm enhances all of the Lunar's inhuman limbs - all of his tentacles or snakes or extra arms acting together and independently of the Lunar's will. Having many of them, or any number of different ones, makes little difference, as the Lunar imbues all that is inhuman in his body with his Lower Soul. Thus, no matter how many different inhuman limbs the Lunar possesses, he will always receive only one action with them.
Mirror of Brilliant Tails
Cost: 9 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Dexterity: 5
Minimum Essence: 5
Prerequisite Charms: Serpent of Savage Will.
The Lunar's mind shifts in the way of his body, filling his inhuman features and making them complement every his every movement, his every action, like the Moon's image mirrored in a pond at night. Upon activating this Charm, the Lunar’s Extra Limbs dance with his every movement, leaving trails, afterimages of Silver Light as they pass. For the remainder of the scene, every time the Lunar takes a physical action, he receives a free physical action with a dicepool equal to his Dexterity during the turn, made with his extra limbs. The Lunar may not benefit of this charm and Serpent of Savage Will at the same time. And as Serpent of Savage Will, it does not matter how many Extra Limbs the Lunar possesses, he only receives one action from this Charm per physical action he takes.
Irreprensible Aegis of Self
Cost: 6 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Dexterity: 5
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Serpent of Savage Will, Dexterity and Wits of the Moon-Kissed.
With a great understanding over his beastly side and his inhuman features, the character's lower soul fills them with all of its prerrogative of savage protection. In a roar they grow, becoming great serpents about him, wings spreading in two or three pairs, tails blossoming in many. Those limbs move about the Lunar, fiercely protecting their master against any and all attacks upon his form. For the remainder of the scene, the Lunar is aware of attacks coming from all directions around him, and may parry any attack he is aware of with a dice pool equal to his Dexterity plus the Defense of his Extra Limb and any natural weapon it possesses. This parry is made by the extra limbs by themselves - the Lunar may also parry with his own hands or weapons.
The Lunar may benefit of this Charm and Serpent of Savage Will at once, but may not parry with his autonomous limbs, as this Charm makes them to do so automatically. And as Serpent of Savage Will, it does not matter how many Extra Limbs the Lunar possesses, he only receives one parry from this Charm per physical action he takes.
Irreprensible Army of Self
Cost: 5 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Dexterity: 5
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Irreprensible Aegis of Self.
The Lunar fills the animal part of his soul with the outrage it feels hwen the body is cut, hurt, desecrated. All this anger is poured into all that is inhuman in the Lunar's body, and their protection becomes a weapon ready to rip the throat of any who dare to strike against the temple of the Moon-Kissed's body! This charm must be activate after Irreprensible Aegis of Self; After it activates, all of the Lunar's extra limbs snap back against any attack - they make a single counterattack with a dice pool equal to the Lunar's Dexterity on any attack against the Lunar. And as Serpent of Savage Will, it does not matter how many Extra Limbs the Lunar possesses, he only receives one counterattack from this Charm per physical action he takes.
