Youthful Mourning
Shataina, Chronicler of Contradictions, Lady of Legends, tells the tale:
Lord Jubilant Willow hated his ex-Circlemate and ex-lover, Lord Flawless Mirror, with a passion that could only have come from jealousy. This is perhaps the reason why (some say) he fabricated the accusation of the forging* of Youthful Mourning.
There are those who maintain that Flawless Mirror did, indeed, forge Youthful Mourning, despite the fact that he was known to have no skill at metalwork; demonic aid, they assert, could account for that -- and who but demons could have wished to create a blade so similar to Ashen Vengeance that it could be actually confused with the terrible daiklave? Fewer are willing to note that Flawless Mirror's wife, Lady Chopakta, was herself an accomplished bladecrafter, having apprenticed herself to Lord Dreaming Steel in the centuries immediately following the Primordial Wars; but even the ferocious Chopakta has had unsavoury accusations levelled at her, and some of the accusers even survived.
But the case against Flawless Mirror was thrown out before it even came before the Solar Deliberative; for the so-called Youthful Mourning was never seen in the same room as Ashen Vengeance, was never even seen at exactly the same time -- and so there was no evidence that it even existed, save for the word of Jubilant Willow. When Jubilant Willow heard of the judgement, he withdrew from Creation and confined himself to his Manse in the Principality of Namarath, losing himself in sexual excess until his death during the Lace and Paper War.
* The actual word used for the accusation is fahais; I have chosen to translate this term here as "forge" because it encompasses the two most relevant definitions, although it does not capture the mingling of the two connoted by fahais.
