Keepers of Autochthon

In the First Age, the Keepers of Autochthon were well regarded among the inhabitants of Hollow and the Iatic School. Most inhabitants of the city thought of them as a guild of inventors and craftsmen rather than the remnants of the Cult of the Great Maker, Autochthon. Unlike many cults, they did not wish to convert the populous; rather, they offered like-minded and gifted individuals the option to join them in the spirit of innovation, without any real pressure to become a full member.
There are many members of note, but among these most shining examples of craft and innovation three Keepers stand out. The first was a God-Blooded, named Tifnu, who was renowned for his manse designs; second was the Twilight known as Whispering Star, who disputedly founded many of the Libraries of the Great Library System. Last of the three was Brokk of the Mountain Folk, who crafted glorious thinking machines and automata.
Quite surprisingly, there are very few records in our age from the Keepers of Autochthon. They were well known for their inventions throughout Creation, yet little that was written of them remains. In the records found in the Iatic School, they are noted as keeping meticulous records on all of their inventions. Why none of these have been found is unknown. I, however, suspect that they were intentionally destroyed, but for what reason I am unsure.
Since the beginning of the First Age and until their desolation, this group of inventors, craftsmen and visionaries lived and worked peacefully with the rest of creation. The Cult of the Great Maker continued on until the calibration prior to the Usurpation. During its annual gathering, when it claimed to be able to commune with Autochthon, it fell prey to a foul abomination from Malfeas. Zipacna the Three Faced Terror, one of the terrible 3rd circle of demons, was called into creation and set upon the group. It ate them three at a time, trapping them with what was called a “Hurricane of Flesh”.
The Deliberative investigated the carnage, but the matter was quickly put to rest by the Solar Verdant Aurora, who found that in the cult's rituals, they called forth the beast that was their own undoing.
