Watched Pot Never Boils Understanding</b>

Sometimes, a person simply needs to sit back and do something else in order to come to an understanding. The character may activate this Charm whenever she is working on something that requires her to design or otherwise work on a problem: training times for mental Abilities, designing artifacts, manses, or rituals, and the like. The character may commit three motes for the duration of the time, and is considered to be working normally regardless of what else she is actually doing. For example, a character could spend a week travelling through a ruined manse and be considered to be training Wits.

Perfect Recollection Technique</b>

The character's memory becomes supernaturally acute. Whenever the character must roll to remember a fact, they may activate this Charm. For every mote spent, add one success to the roll. The character may add up to her Library + Essence in successes.

Mother Tongue Method</b>

Language and understanding comes from the same root, and all languages in Creation ultimately spring from the understanding of humanity. With this Charm active, the character can make herself understood in any language, and gains a basic understanding of all languages. Complex concepts will translate poorly, but the character can automatically communicate basic concepts. If making a Linguistics or Lore roll to understand complex concepts, the character gains two free successes.

Thousand-Word Picture</b>

With a flick of the wrist, the character designs a sigil that communicates everything she needs. The character may have statements of any complexity represented by the sigil, provided that the total message being conveyed is no more than (100 words per dot of Essence). Characters looking at the sigil do not literally read it as an essay, but will understand instantly all of the concepts behind it. The sigil, although amazingly complex, need be no larger than the character's thumb. The character must have something on hand to draw the sigil with, and it will degrade in quality the same as anything written in the same medium.

Body Language Understanding</b>

By spending a moment watching a target's body language, the character becomes instantly aware of their goals. This Charm grants the character a free success on any opposed roll against a single target; either combat, social, or mental. It may be comboed freely with Charms of any Background.

Paths Of Enlightenment Method</b>

With proper understanding, the character can find connections between things. Calling upon her understanding, she remembers facts and information. The character may purchase dice on any roll to remember or research information - usually Lore, Occult, and Crafts, but sometimes other rolls as well (for example, a Perception + Martial Arts roll to recognize a martial arts style could be boosted). The character may add up to her Library + Essence in dice.

Knowledge Is Power Solution</b>

Prerequisites: Paths of Enlightenment Method

True power comes from knowledge, and the skilled Scholar recognizes this. By drawing on the power that she recognizes, she increases her Essence score by 1 for the scene. The raised Essence increases maximum Essence pools but not current ones; it cannot be used to create prerequisites for Charm purposes. In all other ways, it is a Permanent Essence increase.

Manual of Exalted Power Technique</b>

<b>Cost: 3 motes, 1 Willpower, 1 Health Level
Type:: Simple
Duration: Indefinate
Minimum Library: 5
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisites: Paths of Enlightenment Method, Thousand-Word Picture

A character is not always present, but someone may have need of their power. With this Charm, the character creates a manual that embodies a small part of themselves, and gives it to someone. The character must spend one hour penning the manual in order to create it. As long as the Essence remains committed, the manual will have the same Intelligence, Wits, and Abilities as the character, only for the purposes of remembering information. It can act as a tutor for anyone that reads it, or roll knowledge checks for the character when a question is written in it. If the character dies while a manual exists, it will turn blank, as it loses its connection to the character. The same will happen if the character removes the Essence committed to the book.

Terrestrial Circle Sorcery</b>

Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisites: None

With this Charm, the character gains the power of sorcery. The character may learn Terrestrial Circle spells, and can use this Charm to cast them as normal for Exalts. All normal sorcery rules apply.

Celestial Circle Sorcery</b>

Type:: Simple
Duration: Instant
Minimum Library: 5
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisites: Terrestrial Circle Sorcery, Knowledge Is Power Solution

With this Charm, the character goes through her trials, and increases the power of her sorcery. The character may learn Celestial Circle spells, and can use this Charm to cast them as normal for Exalts. All normal sorcery rules apply.
