The Escape from the Forsaken Isle

It was the dawn of the Third Age, the age of Men. The vicious tyrants who had ruled were thrown down with their dark religion. Their falsehoods about the need for the Wyld Hunt and their own perfection were seen for what they were, lies to stroke the power and ego of the rulers. No one had seen "Anathema" for many years, and the Hunt had killed more than a few innocents in their searches. And so the end began. It came swifter than any could have imagined. With mighty power they were imprisoned within their own dark heart.

Yet, they realized it naught, for while a great wall had been built with the aid of the beast gods from the edge of the world, they continued to live happily within, doing as they wish... living as heroes or animals. To those who watched, they did not care, as long as the dynasties of evil stayed within. Ironically, the trials and wall that had been built with the beast gods' help to "destroy the world of the weak man." became their own prison. And so for the last 50 years we have lived in peace.

But now... the Anathema have returned. The ones who stole the power of the sun have returned, and brought back things ten times more foul than themselves or even the dynasty. Where they have come from, none know... but it seems that some have come from within the prison we created to be unbreakable... with guardians who would be infalliable. Unfortunately, we were wrong both times and they have come seeking a payment we fear to even hear offered.

To be honest, it was partially a rough idea I got for a game after watching Escape from New York. For some reason, it seems like something that could happen, trying to create a prison for the Exalted. And it has alot of similar threats, yet different ones... are you trying to free the Exalted? Rule the Forsaken (Blessed) Isle? There's a few ideas. - haren
