Author's Notes: These are a collection of Charms conceived as a result of my mourning for dodge and parry stunts in second edition. I'd file them away in their relevant sections, but as this would probably clutter the Wiki with small pages more than it'd tidy it, I've accumulated them here. Enjoy!

PS: I am a moron. Turns out dodge and parry stunts are in as normal, and similar to as listed below. Bah!

Dazzling Evasiveness Method

This is a Solar Charm. Abyssal and Infernal variations are known to exist.

Type: Reflexive (Step 5)
Keywords: Combo-OK

Prereqs: None

With sheer flair and style, the Exalt leaves the attacks of her foes far behind. Usage of this Charm allows the character to stunt her dodge; the stunt bonus (if any) is then applied directly to her Dodge DV, without division by two. eg. Hermionous Jade is being attacked by the sushi bar's chef. After a particularly amusing stunt involving his assistant and a bowl of miso soup, her Storyteller awards her a +2 stunt. This brings her DDV from 5 to 7. This effect does not count as Charm-created for the purposes of calculating maximum bonuses.

Defence of Heroic Prowess

Prereqs: Any (Melee) Excellency

The Solar musters the greatest of his spirit in a heroic attempt to stop his foes' efforts. Usage of this Charm allows the character to stunt his dodge; the stunt bonus (if any) is then applied directly to his Parry DV, without division by two. eg. Mace is fighting to retrieve his underwear. After a particularly vicious assault by the thief, he activates this Charm and performs a +1 stunt, as determined by the Storyteller. This brings his PDV from 6 to 7. This effect does not count as Charm-created for the purposes of calculating maximum bonuses.

God-King's Rebuttal Technique

This is a Solar Charm. Abyssal and Infernal variations are known to exist.
Cost: 2 motes
Mins: Integrity 2, Essence 2
Type: Reflexive (Step 5)
Keywords: Combo-OK
Duration: Instant
Prereqs: Any (Integrity) Excellency

Adopting a divine mantle and looking down on his fellows as though from the heavens above, the Solar becomes jaded to attempts to influence him. Usage of this Charm allows the character to stunt his social dodge; the stunt bonus (if any) is then applied directly to his Dodge MDV, without division by two. eg. In an effort to persuade Panzer from confronting his foes at a delicate time, one of his circlemates in drag is attempting to seduce him. But they hadn't counted on God-King's Rebuttal Technique! With a righteous scowl, Panzer earns a +1 stunt – enough to bring his DMDV from 4 to 5 and resist their efforts. This effect does not count as Charm-created for the purposes of calculating maximum bonuses.

Silken Tongue Evasion

This is a Solar Charm. Abyssal and Infernal variations are known to exist.
Cost: 2 motes
Mins: Socialise 2, Essence 2
Type: Reflexive (Step 5)
Keywords: Combo-OK
Duration: Instant
Prereqs: Any (Socialise) Excellency

Like weapons of war, the Solars' tremendous social acumen can be used equally well for defence – provided it is used with novelty. Usage of this Charm allows the character to stunt his social parry; the stunt bonus (if any) is then applied directly to his Parry MDV, without division by two. eg. Swab is being accosted by the Guild to allow the shipment of cheap brassieres from the Southwest into the docks of his island. He activates Silken Tongue Evasion and with an elaborate monologue on Western trade protocols nets himself a +1 stunt. This adds one to his PMDV, bringing it from 4 to 5. This effect does not count as Charm-created for the purposes of calculating maximum bonuses.

This effect does not count as Charm-created for the purposes of calculating maximum bonuses.

The words of others are mere shadows compared to the primal power of instinct; with this Charm, the Lunar reminds herself of what she truly is. This effect does not count as Charm-created for the purposes of calculating maximum bonuses.

Cunning Tongue

This is a Lunar Charm.
Cost: 1 mote
Mins: Manipulation 3, Essence 1
Type: Reflexive (Step 5)

The guile of Luna's Chosen is legendary; invoking this Charm gives the character speech as fluid as his body. Usage of this Charm allows him to stunt his social parry; if a stunt bonus is awarded, it is applied to the Lunar's pre-division social parry pool (recalculate PMDV accordingly). This effect does not count as Charm-created for the purposes of calculating maximum bonuses.

Feedback

You can still make dodge and parry stunts in 2nd edition. You roll the stuntdice as usual. Am I missing something? I don't own it yet, but every source I've seen says this.

No, I'm missing something. Specifically, a paragraph halfway down page 124. Humbug...DeathBySurfeit
