Level 4

General’s Mind
8 motes to commit

War is all about planning, and it is often the case that he who plans the best is he who comes away with victory. This brilliant, golden circlet is meant to sit upon the brow of one who takes joy in leading men into battle, but who is also concerned for those men and the overall outcome of the conflict. Upon first inspection the band appears to be inlaid with a reddish orange substance that seems to be intricately patterned around its circumference. When one looks closer, however, they see that the substance is not a stationary color, but actually living, dancing flame that seems to move around the pattern with a mesmerizing fluidity. The pattern is also quickly discerned to be a prayer to the Easter Goddess of War and Soldier, Sunipa, who also contributed to the items creation by bestowing a blessing upon it. Aside from its ascetic value the circlet is a weapon of war, the likes of which can turn the tide of battle even against impossible odds.
  • While the bearer is wearing it he has the ability to enhance those warriors who he himself has personally trained to be truly god like in battle. The user can for the cost of 3 motes (committed) per unit leader grant the individual the ability to fight and lead with the Exalt’s non-charm enhanced dice pools. He can commit up to his Permanent Essence in unit leaders.
  • Furthermore the circlet modifies the solar war charm Ideal Battle Knowledge Prana. When the Solar places this charm up during battle he receives its normal benefits plus he gains the ability to pay one additional mote, up to his PE, on each Excellency he uses. Doing this allows the user to extend the effects of that Excellency over his committed unit leaders.
  • The circlet also possesses one hearthstone socket

Warrior’s Arm
5 motes to commit

Sometimes tactics alone won’t win you a battle, and it is through strength of arm that victory must be achieved. This item takes the form of a bracer that fits over the Exalt’s left forearm, and is seemingly made from storm clouds on the verge of tempest and streaked through with golden Orichalcum lightening. It truly was made from the clouds that form when the great Thunderbird warrior Storms-As-He-Walks goes to battle, and the rain that fell from them blessed it. The bracer grants the users Glorious Solar Saber Charm a permanent enhancement, by allowing it to modify another blade the Solar already has committed. When the charm is activated a golden aura encircles the Exalt’s left hand and all he needs to do it touch the hilt of his other blade to complete the effect. The blade now glows with holy light and if the sword was not already a Grand Daiklave it becomes liken to one as golden essence grows out of the back of the sword and extends it upward until it reaches 6 feet in length. Once done this blade becomes a weapon of pure destruction that is capable of such feats of legend that its name nor its wielders name may ever be forgotten.
  • For 6 motes and 1 willpower (the usual summoning cost for the saber) the bracer automatically doubles the users dice pool to its maximum level.
  • All attacks by the Exalt are considered Holy.
  • Finally it grants the wielder a second source of damage equal to his Permanent Essence, do to the essence part of the blade also slashing into the opponent.

Wild Growth Resonance Circlet
Commitment 1 mote

This circlet has the appearance of twisted vines softly worked through with Orichalcum. Bits of unnatural glass harvested from the glass and poison forests of the Far East during Resplendent Wood’s glittering days are ground through the work. The natural properties of the circlet as well as the craftsmanship lead to an interesting synergy.
  • Nearby vegetation gains a rudimentary intelligence, but is still restrained by its form.
  • Further, those charms of the First Excellency the solar activates have one die purchased at no cost.
  • Finally, by actively channeling essence through the circlet at a rate of 3 motes every 6 ticks, essence expenditures are dampened in a small area. This last effect is identical to the Wood Dragon Armor effect.

Band of True Friend's Faith
Commitment 0 motes

This intricately woven and beautifully decorated ring is made out of pine needles from the grandfather trees of Halta and the petals of the Largyn fire orchids. Three small bands of silver are wrapped around the woven vegetation and a final larger band, which is also made of silver and adorned with an orichalcum emblem of the sun, is placed on the ring to signify its top. The Twilight Caste craftsman Cirrus created the band for his good friend Orphen in order to show the faith that he possesses in his friend and the faith that his friend has in him.
  • The spell Faithful Ally is built into the ring and by activating it the ring can take you safely to its creator for the normal mote cost of the spell
    • This effect recharges itself one month after it was last used
  • For the expenditure of 1 mote the wearer can alert the creator that he is in need of motes and the creator can use the Charm Essence-Lending Technique through the ring regardless of distance
  • For the expenditure of 2 motes the wearer can alert the creator that he is in need of willpower and the creator can use the Charm Will-Bolstering Method through the ring regardless of distance

Ascending Beauty, "First Blade of the Rising Sun"
Speed 4 Accuracy +5 Damage +5 Defense +3 Rate 4 (Orichalcum bonus already included)
Commitment 4 motes

The Dawn is a time of beauty and splendor. It is a sight to be left in awe of, a sight to gasp at, and a sight that one will never forget. The Reaper Daiklave Ascending Beauty embodies all of those principles for it is as beautiful as the rising sun, and as awe-inspiring as those Exalted who share the morning's name. The blade is forged from crisp morning air and true ice, and it is suffused with random arcs of sunlight, and edged in orichalcum. Orichalcum filigree also dances upon the blade and in the light of the morning this filigree forms the sword's name in Old Realm upon it. When the blade is drawn from its sheath the thunderous snap of a glacier splitting emanates from it and a visible sound wave rushes off of the sword. This serves to draw the Exalt's enemies' attention and from there the real power of the sword takes over. When this Daiklave is wielded its user becomes a figure of awe-inspiring charisma and physical perfection. None of his movements seem wasteful; his voice becomes both more intimidating and more magnetic; and his actions carry a small legendary spark to them.
  • Whenever an enemy gazes upon the wielder for the first time during a scene the user may roll {(Charisma or Appearance) + Presence} at a difficulty of the target's Dodge MDV. If he is successfulthen the target is placed under an illusion that the Exalt is to great and powerful to fight against, and will not take any direction action against him or men he leads for the rest of the scene. This power may be overcome by the expenditure of 3 willpower.
  • Also the blade carries inside of it a partially formed Demense stone that grats the user the mote regeneration of a level 5 hearthstone as long as it is committed.
  • This Daiklave has one hearthstone socket in the pommel
  • Crafting Process for Ascending Beauty
    • The blade is forged from crisp, northern, morning air that can only be gathered within a properly geomantically aligned valley, which catches and forces the wind down it. The valley walls have been layered with ice and have been contructed in such a way as to taper down toward the end of the valley like a funnel. Also the walls have been inscribed with glyphs of purity. At the end of the valley sits a level 5 air-aspected demense.
    • The sorceror using the art of weather control while he is standing in the middle of the valley, at least 3 yards off the ground, must summon the wind he wishes to use. Once this process is over the artificer cannot touch the ground again till the forging is over in order to pay homage to the wind he wishes to harness.
    • The artificer then stands at the end of they valley and fores the ritually summoned and purified wind into a manse infrastructure using Crafting the Puissant Sanctum. The created manse is made of wind and true ice, and instead of creating a hearthstone it forges this Daiklave out of its center. Just as the Daiklave is being finished the manse is destroyed as once of the essence lines supporting it is rendered useless. The creator two months prior set this up with the use of the Charm Wyld-Shaping Technique. Once the manse has been destroyed to rubble the sword is left floating in the air above where it formed.
    • A small amount of orichalcum is poured down the blade, to edge it, and into small channels grooved into the blade, to provide the filigree.
    • Finally, the blade is quenched in water that eternally bears the reflection from one of Creation's true beauties in order to harden and set the orichalcum.

Time of Battle, "Second Blade of the Rising Sun"
Speed 5 Accuracy +4 Damage +10L/3 Defense +1 Rate 3 (Overwhelming and Orichalcum bonus already included)
Commitment 5 motes

The rising sun is not only beautiful though. It signifies the coming of battle and is the tim when great battles are fought. It was following this idea that inspired the creation of the Reaver Daiklave, Time of Battle. The giant chopping blade is edged on one side and seems to be forged out of golden red ore that has been mixed with sand. No matter what the clime the blade is always warm to the touch. The glittering sand also shimmers the blades name into existence in Old Realm when the Dawn's light touches it. The blade itself extends down over the grip, and actually connects to the bottom of the haft, which is wrapped in soft plant material and is suited for one or two hands. The cutting edge is black and appears somewhat watery with flecks of gold glinting through it. Finally, the blade is abnormally light to handle and cannot be made to touch the ground accidentally.
  • The first of the blade's powers is that it acts as a Compass of Imminent Strife to a degree, but is more all encompassing in its power. Whenever battle is near the blade glows with a crackling aura. Different colors signify the direction of the battle, green for East, red for South, blue for North, and black for West. The colors combine to represent the in-between directions. As the Exalt gets closer to the fight the aura grows in size, and smaller as he gets farther away from it.
  • The other power of this blade only works when the Exalt is wielding it, and thus harnessing its awesome cutting power. If the user pays 1 mote for every three dice of damage after soak an automatic success is granted to damage.
  • The sword has a setting for 1 hearthstone in the handle.
  • Crafting Process for Time of Battle
    • While inside a southern Mesa, in a hollowed room, which has been warded versus light and inscribed with calligraphy detailing the story of an age-old battle is where the forging process will take place.
    • Ore that has always seen the rising of the sun and sand that has never been cooled are pulled off the surface and into the room by the artificer using Craftsman Needs No Tools and intoning the story written on the walls.
    • Once the blade is finished the grip is made by taking a seed from a plant found only in the deep east, and causing it to grow via the spell Force of Life's Summer, while still speaking the story aloud to enable it to take shape.
    • The last piece, which is the edge, is laid into place by adding a few drops of molten orichalcum to water, which has never seen light, causing it to boil. It is then poured into a mold along the edge and taken quickly to the far north where air that has never touched ground freezes the water into a powerfully sharp edge.

Hope of a New Day, "Third Blade of the Rising Sun"
Speed 5 Accuracy +3 Damage +13/4 Defense +1 Rate 3 (Piercing, Overwhelming, Reach, 2-Hand Requirement, Orichalcum bonus already added)
Commitment 5 motes

The Dawn also brings with it the belief of change and the hope that this day may be better then the last. It also signifies the constancy and stability of Creation, for each day like clockwork the sun crests the horizon. People everywhere often look to the coming of the sun's light with hope in their hearts and he who wields the Grand Daiklave Hope of a New Day embodies that belief and need. This magnificent blade neither inspires the beauty and awe that Ascending Beauty does, nor the fear that Time of Battle does, but what it can do is stir belief and faith, which are the greatest weapons one can wield in any fight. This dual edged sword is forged of pure fire and alloyed with a heart's greatest hope and desire. Orichalcum inlays spell out Belief on one side and Faith on the other, and when the sun's morning rays touch it Beleif and Faith become one and the sword's name appears upon it. The blade also carries upon it a blessing from Nasamara the Northern God of War and Inner Strength, granted a test of mettle. While the blades magic ensures those whom the Exalt fights with will never lose hope the blessing guarantees that the Exalt will never be swayed from his course when this blade is in his hand.
  • When this blade is removed from its sheath two things happen. The first the Exalt must pay 1 willpower for. Doing so causes the blade to flame up more then normal and it enhances the courage and hope of all that fight with the Exalt, effectively modifying the Charm Heroism Encouraging Presence so that is extends over all of the wielder's allies without a range exception. This cost of 1 willpower does not have to paid if user wields the blade during the time of Dawn.
  • The other effect the blade has, is that is hardens the user's mind granting him a reinforced intimacy of "Winning the current battle I am fighting".
  • This Daiklave has a socket for 1 hearthstone and the stone floats through the fire majestically.
  • Crafting Process for Hope of a New Day
    • Gossamer spun from the hope of a mortal after a battle won is formed into the frame of a Grand Daiklave. Orichalcum is then painstakingly added to the edge one small piece at a time until almost all hope of finishing it is lost, and then when the blade is finished the essence laden with renewed hope solidifies the edge.
    • The living flame from a Garda bird is poured into the frame inside a room, which has been engineered to fill completely with sunlight on the anniversary of when the Solar's returned to Creation.
    • A feather from the Garda bird is then used by Nasamara to pen his blessing into the living flame after the creator has challenged him to honorable combat.
