Located in Starlit Fantasy Square, a large building housing several merchant storefronts, The Little Death is an exclusive lingerie and cosmetic store catering to women with discerning tastes when it comes to the things closest to their delicate skin. Perfumes of all types mingle in the air while patrons peruse the latest styles in cosmetics and have the styles applied by talented aestheticians. The mannequins are voluptuously built and suggestively posed around the store, modeling whisper-soft lingerie made of the finest laces, silks and satins available anywhere. Some of the walls are mirrored; the rest are painted a reddish pink that fades into a sunset purple at the ceiling. Smaller mirrors are set into the silver and crystal display cases of cosmetics to satisfy the customers' immediate vanity. The cases are filled with all sorts of exotic perfumes, as well as different paints, creams, and powders of almost every shade and hue known. Red velvet-curtained fitting rooms ensure privacy while being measured for the custom-fit lingerie.
The Little Death is run by Tamera Yeskanero, a younger daughter of the noted Yeskanero Merchanting Family. The shop is her pride and joy; she has a hand in every aspect of the day-to-day running of it. She is a meticulous and exacting woman, accepting nothing less than perfection from her staff and her products. Tamera employs an alchemist that specializes in treatments that enhance and preserve beauty; by mutual pact the formulae are kept as a strict secret. Whatever goes into them, her customers swear by her products; she has a loyal fan base amongst women who can afford her merchandise. Her tailors share responsibility for the steadfast support from her patrons; they are efficient, skilled, and well-known for their ability to camouflage any imperfection and fit any body size and shape. Most are graduates of the Dagon Academy, a premier school for those interested in the art of the tailor.
Rumours
- Jealous competitors claim that Tamera has woven some kind of sorcery over her alchemist that prevents him from selling his secrets to them.
- Tamera sends her family's assassins after any competitor seen as a threat; she uses their blood as a component for her youth-restoring facial creams.
Secret
- Tamera has set up discreet peepholes in the dressing rooms; she enjoys watching her patrons in various states of undress and occasionally invites a guest to watch with her.
Comments
I purposely kept names and descriptions to a minimum when it came to whats available in the shop and their effects, it's whatever you want to imagine in your game. Me personally, I'm seeing a cross between Victoria's Secret and Sephora. Enjoy!
Small point: you mention that these are the finest fabrics outside the Realm ... I don't see why Nexus would have anything less than the Realm in terms of the quality of available fabric.
