Flesh of Light

Cost: 5 motes
Duration: One scene
Type: Simple
Min Athletics: 5
Min Essence: 4
Prereqs: Ten Ox Meditation

Having becomed acustomed to infusing his muscle and sinew with the power of Essence, a Solar can internalize the added power and use it as easily as the flesh-born strength of his body. For as long as this Charm is active the character's current effective Strength including all Charms, Artifacts and other magical effects is treated as if it was his natural, unmodified Strength. Once this Charm is activated, however, that Strength score can not be further modified by magical means.

Um. What? Could you give an example of how using the Charm would impact play? DS

I'm thinking something like Fire and Stones Strike would be impacted. If you jacked your Strength up to 13 from 5, and then used this charm, you could then spend 13 motes using Fire and Stones Strike. ~ Andrew01

I'm not certain, but I think it might also make the Strength boost from the Charm following Strength Increasing Exercise (I can't remember the name of this Charm - IIRC, the bonus only applies to lifting and breaking and such) count as natural. This would make it possible to have a higher Strength still, and count all of it for damage and leaping. I'm not sure, though, hopefully Telgar will clarify. - David.

It does indeed impact only those Charms that use Strength as a cap for spending or adding. And David. is correct as well, any increase in your Strength because of specific-intent Charms becomes a general-use base. You could add dots with Thunder's Might and use them to increase strength damage in combat. - Telgar
