Blood Reshaping

Blood Reshaping Technique
Cost: 5 motes, 1 willpower, 1 Health Level
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Manipulation: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: None
By allowing a subject to taste his blood and activating this charm, he may make minor alteractions to the form of a subject, as with Shaping the Ideal Form. Those alterations require a Manipulation + Craft(Shapeshifting) roll. Minor, purely cosmetical alterations require a roll at standard difficulty. More than five minor changes requires a roll at difficulty 3. Ten or more require a roll at difficulty 5. However, the Lunar may add any of the situation bonuses of Shaping the Ideal Form, with an extra difficulty added per bonus dice. The change lasts for a full Lunar Phase, and cannot be used on unwilling subjects, but the Lunar may stipulate a lesser trigger, like ‘just one night’ or ‘just one hour’. The subject may make them permanent if he wishes, fully embracing them. This can serve to increase one’s Appearance rating, paying the usual experience cost, but without any training time, and to give someone a new identity, for 6 experience points.

Wondrous Lunar Transformation
Cost: 10 motes, 1 willpower, 1 Health Level
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Manipulation: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Blood Reshaping Technique
By allowing a subject to taste his blood and activating this charm, he may make major alteractions to the form of a subject, turning the subject into any shape on his 'Blood Library' shifting the subject’s gender or granting the subject any mutations the Lunar possesses due to his Totem or by other means. This lasts for a full Lunar Month. Those alterations must be made on a willing subject and require a Manipulation + Craft(Shapeshifting) roll. With a difficulty of...

  • ... 2 when shifting the subject into a member of the same species.
  • ... 3 when shifting the subject into a member of a different species.
  • ... +1 for the size difference between the subject and his new shape.

The change lasts for a full Lunar Phase, but the Lunar may stipulate a lesser trigger, like 'just one night', 'just one hour' or 'until the hum of a certain song goes through the body'. The subject may make them permanent if he wishes, fully embracing them. This costs a number of experience points equal to the Mutation value of their new form.

Insidious Lunar Change
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Manipulation: 5
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Wondrous Lunar Transformation
With a push of her will, a Lunar can force one’s shape against her will, shifting it in any and all ways she so wishes. Lunars are the greatest lords of shapeshifting, and another’s shape may be decided by the Lunars, and the Lunars alone. This Charm enhances Blood-Reshaping Technique and Wondrous Lunar Transformation, making them work on unwilling targets.

Change of Five Moons
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Manipulation: 5
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Wondrous Lunar Transformation
Usually, changes last until Luna changes her face, but she has many faces, and although nothing remains constant until she adopts the same face once again, a Lunar may make the changes to another last until she does so! This Charm enhances Blood-Reshaping Technique and Wondrous Lunar Transformation, making them last for a whole Lunar Month.

Hold the Moon
Cost: 4 motes 1 willpower
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Simple
Minimum Manipulation: 5
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Change of Five Moons, Insidious Lunar Change
By internalizing the principles of change, a Lunar becomes able to hold a form against all changes of the celestial world! To use Hold the World, the Lunar must touch a subject for a number of minutes equal to the subject’s Essence rating, as silver marks travel from the Lunar to the subject. As long as the motes remain committed, nothing can change the subject’s Shape unless the Lunar wills it, and its shape will be locked in whatever shape it is right now. This Charm may explicitly make Lunar shapeshifting charms last longer than they otherwise would.

Blood Wax Technique
Cost: 6 motes, 1 Health Level
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Manipulation: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Blood Reshaping Technique
Coating his hand in blood, the Lunar touches a victim... and shapes part of her away. Muscles are shaped into jelly, tendons into withered vines; Eyes blinded, lips sealed together. Lunars are masters of shapeshifting, and for them flesh moves like hot wax. The Lunar makes an unarmed attack, and if he suceeds, he Manipulation+Craft(Shapeshifting) with a difficulty of the victim’s Essence; Every success scored by the Lunar means the decrease of one point of Strength, Dexterity, Stamina, Appearance or Perception of the victim.

Victims reduced to zero Strength may not carry or lift anything but the lightest cloth; Victims reduced to zero Dexterity may not move; Victims reduced to zero stamina fall into a coma; Victims reduced to zero appearance become twisted monsters; And Victims reduced to zero Perception loses almost all of their senses, retaining only tact to navigate their way. Two successes are enough to wither a limb or remove a single sense(removing the organ as well, most of the times - making mouths vanish, turning eyes into something unworkable...) if the Lunar so prefers, however. The changes last for a Lunar Month on magical beings, but are permanent on mortals.

Touch of Luna
Cost: 10 motes 1 Health Level
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Manipulation: 5
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Blood Wax Technique
The Lunar wreathes her hand in the essence of Luna, the sheer power of the Silver Lady. The ability to change, to shift form as easily as a thought. Wreathed in her power, the Lunar strikes... and those he touches are changed forever. The Lunar makes Touch of Luna as an unarmed attack; Upon striking his foe, he forfeits damage to change the foe's shape to anything he can dream of.

The Lunar rolls his Manipulation+Craft(Shapeshifting), against a difficulty equal to the victim’s Essence; Victims may be willing, adding one success to this roll. If the Lunar succeeds, the target's shape is shifted. He can turn the target into any creature the Lunar can think of, with its statistics. Successes can be 'spent' changing the creature, adding two mutation points, negative or positive, per success. The changes brought by this Charm last only one hour, but the Lunar may wish to spend 1 willpower to make them last for an entire Lunar Phase. The subject may make those changes Permanent if he pays the Experience Cost of the Mutations. Those Mutations are Wyld, however, as the Lunar's blood always possess some of the changing essence of chaos which Luna loves.

Shaping the Once-Living Form
Cost: 2 motes, 1 Health Level
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Simple
Minimum Manipulation: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Blood Reshaping Technique
With this Charm, the Lunar can reshape inert once-living material into another form. He can turn a fallen tree into a shelter, a bone into a weapon or hide into clothing. The Lunar cannot shape objects that are already under the influence of Sorcery or Charms. The material to be shaped must be covered into the Lunar's blood, costing 1 Health Level of Lethal damage. The roll to make the objects is Manipulation+Craft(Shapeshifting), with difficulty equal to twice the resources cost of the item to be made. Complex objects, anything more than a belt buckle, take a number of minutes equal to their difficulty, as well.

Mountains of Scattered Ashes
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Manipulation: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Shaping the Once-Living Form
Lunar blood is able to become grander, much like a Lunar’s form can become anything from an emerald grasshopper to a tyrant lizard! By wishing the blood within a once-living form to grow, the Lunar can shape them as greater than they have ever been! This Charm can be purchased three times, and enhances Shaping the Once-Living Form. The first time it is purchased, it allows the Lunar to increase the once-living material from small shapes to a human-sized shape. The second time it is purchased it allows smaller materials to become as large as a grand room or small house. The third time it is purchased allows one to enlarge the once-living things until they take the size of a palace. It costs more to activate this function when using Shaping the Once-Living Form, adding 1 health level and 2 motes per level used.

Twigs to Steel Transformation
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Manipulation: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Shaping the Once-Living Form
A sheen of silver light passes through the object, and even the weakest materials become serviceable by the Lunar. In his hand, twigs become greatswords, the bones of a mice great spears, threads of blood become chains, dry and dead wood becomes the wall of a castle. This Charm is used on a creation made with Shaping the Once-Living Form or other Lunar craft Charms - it instantly makes the material as resilient as a construction of metal or stone of the corresponding size and thickness. In fact, successes in excess of its usual difficulties might make the item Exceptional or Perfect as with any other Craft roll. If the item is made of an unusual material and hardened with Twigs to Steel Transformation, it may receive an Artifact 1-level power to Illustrate how a sword of blood strikes more fluidly, for example.

Blossom the Argent Life
Cost: 10 motes, 1+ Health Level
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Manipulation: 5
Minimum Essence: 5
Prerequisite Charms: Shaping the Once-Living Form
The Lunars have an intimate connection to the Lotus of Life, to the animal avatars, to the flow of life and blood in the world. Using that connection, the Lunar pours her blood on earth, on plants, on rivers or even rocks... and shifts them into life! Using Blossom of the Argent Life, the Lunar may create a number of living beings of roughly her size equal to her Essence for every Health Level spent. He may have less of those, like four of her to create a Tyrant Lizard, or less, like swarms over swarms of locusts. Those living beings are mundane in all ways, answer to the Lunar’s every order and last until the end of the scene, when they break into quicksilver flakes.

Craft

Tool-Hand Technique
Cost: 5 motes
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Dexterity: 2
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: None
The Lunar enhances his limbs with Essence, coruscating lights around his hands as they are strenghtened, nails and claws sharpened and reshaped in light to provide any tool the Exalt might need. The Lunar takes no damage of the cutting or rasping while using the 'tools'. The Lunar also mitigates any penalty for lack of the nessessary tools, receiving a +2 specialty on all Craft rolls, which does not counts against dice-adder limits, and is is considered a supernatural crafter, fully able to craft items out of Quitessence and Ambrosia. As a side benefit, the Lunar can do lethal damage in unarmed attacks.

Clay-Wetting Practice
Cost: 5 motes
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Dexterity: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Ascendant Dexterity
Just as a wasp digests paper to make its hive or certain creatures of the earth use saliva to make their burrows, the Lunar infuses an object with her essence to make it malleable. Invoking the Charm, the Lunar touches and chooses one object of any mundane material. For the rest of the scene, the Lunar may mold this object as if it were clay. To everyone else, the object remains as hard as normal. Clay-Wetting Practice cannot affect the magical materials.

When a Lunar targets an object no larger than she can hold in one hand, she may reshape this object as a dice action into any similar object of the same material and Resources value or less. Some Lunars use this Charm in combat to change their weapons. It can produce only average goods, but allows the Lunar to work with unworkable materials, and reduces the resources cost by 1 when determining a long-term craft’s difficulty and time required. A Lunar may use this Charm to damage an object quickly. A Lunar ignores (Dexterity x2) points of an object’s soak after affecting it with this Charm.

Weapon-Shaping Method
Cost: 3 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Dexterity: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Clay-Wetting Practice
The Lunar picks any piece of once-living form, such as Wood or Bone, of suitable shape, and transforms it into a weapon. The Lunar may reflexively roll Manipulation+Craft(Shapeshifting) with a difficulty equal to the Resources cost of the weapon to be made. An ordinary success allows for a serviceable weapon, three for an exceptional weapon, and five for a perfect weapon. The Lunar may not use this reflexive action more times per turn than her Dexterity, and must still use a dice-action to grab anything to be shaped. The Lunar can create a number of ranged projectiles equal to her Dexterity per turn without the need for a roll, however, if she has the materials handy.

The Storyteller may allow for extra abilities when shaping something great - the roots of a Heart Tree, a Teeth of the Yellow Wyrm, the body of a splinter of Mokrelus... the most obvious type of extra power being to allow the Lunar to roll the Artifact cost of the weapon instead of Resources, but in any case, it costs double. The weapon lasts as long as the Lunar commits his Essence to it.

Lunar Blade Reconfiguration
Cost: 4 motes
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Dexterity: 4
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Clay-Wetting Practice
Moonsilver is a gift from Luna, and this Charm enhances that gift. Once it is activated, an attunned Moonsilver weapon can become nearly any weapon of the Exalted. On her action, the Lunar may change the target into any other weapon of equal or less artifact rating. If she so chooses, she may change the target into any mundane weapon, which benefits from the Moonsilver Magical Material bonus. Any magical functions(besides its basic weapon traits) function on all its forms unless they depend on the weapon’s shape. For example, a dire lance that increases its damage even further when charging does not keep its bonus in the shape of a Daiklave. At the end of the scene, the weapon reverts to its original form.

When faced with a nugget or deposit of Moonsilver, this Charm allows the character to shape the material reflexively into any mundane weapon. Such weapons do not benefit from the Moonsilver Magical Material Bonus. They are not artifacts, and they are not attunned. At the end of the scene, the reconfigured Moonsilver returns to its original shape.

Living Canvas Meditation
Cost: 5 motes, 1 Health Level
Duration: Varies
Type: Simple
Minimum Manipulation: 4
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Blood Reshaping Technique
The Lunar touches a raw material with a droplet of his blood, making it into a swirling symbol that sinks upon it. Then, the Lunar begins his Craft. The raw material flows in the Lunar's hands and instruments, becoming whatever the Lunar desires it to be, helping the Lunar along, trying to become what the Lunar whims it to be by itself. This cuts the time required for the crafting an object by the Lunar's Essence.

Moonsilver

Luna's Blessed Hands
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Dexterity: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: None
Lunars are specially adept at working with Moonsilver! It is unpredictable and quick to flow, but a Lunar who can understand and react to its patterns can create wonders in the name of Luna. Surprising Moonsilver Deformation
Cost: 1 mote per +1 difficulty
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Appearance: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: None
The Moonsilver Weapon's fluid nature allows it to deform and flow past defenses, to enlargen to catch dogding foes, and all around to be extremely hard to evade. When using a Moonsilver weapon, the Lunar may pays 1 mote to add 1 to the difficulty to dodge and parry the Lunar's attacks, up to the Lunar's Essence. This has no effect if the enemy is parrying with a Moonsilver weapon. The Lunar may choose to soften the strike when using this Charm, dealing Bashing Damage without having to 'pull his punches'.

Lunar Blade Reconfiguration
Cost: 4 motes
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Appearance: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Surprising Moonsilver Deformation
Same as above, the Moonsilver cascade is an alternate pre-requisite to it.

Flare of Luna's Steel
Cost: 3 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Appearance: 2
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Surprising Moonsilver Deformation
Moonsilver is beautiful. Unique of all Magical Materials, it is... alive! Completely alive, a new life given breath by the Lunar's shapechanging abilities. With this Charm, the Lunar makes it shine with Luna's moonlight, obsfuscating all who look at the Lunar. For a single instant, the Lunar's opponent receives a difficulty to his actions against the Lunar, offensive or defensive, equal to the Moonsilver Artifact's rating, as long as the enemy is affected by visual effects. Lunar natural Moonsilver Weapons have an effective artifact rating equal to half the Lunar's Essence, rounding up. The Lunar's enemies may ignore this by closing his eyes, fighting blind and having the difficulty of all his actions increased by 2.

Resplendent Silver Reflection
Cost: 6 motes
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Appearance: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Flare of Luna's Steel
Building on the precepts of the flare, the Lunar makes the light remain with the weapon for a scene, giving the penalty equal to the artifact rating of the Moonsilver item to all the attacks and defenses against the Lunar for a scene, as long as the enemy is affected by visual effects. The Lunar's enemies may ignore this by closing his eyes, fighting blind and having the difficulty of all his actions increased by 2.

Insidious Moonsilver Shard
Cost: 10 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Appearance: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Surprising Moonsilver Deformation
Upon striking his opponent and doing at least one health level of damage, the Lunar splits a shard of his Moonsilver weapon into the opponent's body. The shard begins to travel through the victim's body, dealing a number of damage dice equal to its artifact rating, rolled normally and only soaked by the victim's natural soak, every minute. The Lunar might will it to be slower, making it deal this damage every day. To extract the shard requires a Dexterity+Medicine roll difficulty 4, lasting at least 10 turns and dealing one level of lethal damage to the patient.

Deadly Moonsilver Shard
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Appearance: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Insidious Moonsilver Shard
The Lunar controls Moonsilver to the point that even a shard split from his weapon becomes a small creature - a small lizard or insect, that will fight with tooth and claw against any attempt to extract it! The Lunar adds his Wits to the damage of the Insidious Moonsilver Shard, and if removed, it fights with the statistics of a knife and all dice pools equal to the Lunar's Wits! It is a Minuscule creature, as well. It will try to harm the doctor, pehaps kill him, and burrow on the victim once again.

Tatoo

Tatoo-Cutting Wisdom
Cost: 4 motes
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Simple
Minimum Intelligence: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: None
The Lunar can engrave or otherwise mark a real, unliving object so it is immune to the chaotic effects of the wyld, an untamed Demesne, or another source of shapechanging, by rolling Dexterity+Occult and etching a mark upon the object. If used on a shaped object which the Lunar is committing motes to keep the form of, such as those created with Shaping the Once-Living Form and Weapon-Shaping Method, it frees the commitment and makes the shaped object permanent as long as the motes are committed. The Lunar can make it truly permanent by paying 1 Experience Point and ending the Charm.

Harmony in the Heart of Light
Cost: 10 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Intelligence: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Tatoo-Cutting Wisdom
Creating a pattern over her forehead from her own flowing blood, the Lunar engraves it on his current Form, and locks her Shapeshifting away until she decides to shapeshift again. To do this the Lunar rolls Intelligence+Occult with a difficulty equal to the Blood Library level nessessary to have the shape as a Prize Form. In a success, the Lunar will remain in this form even during her iconic flare, holding its stability on the heart of the silver pyre. Her anima still does flare, and even if the Lunar is using Charms to pretend to use another Exalt's anima banner, she will still shine silver during her iconic flare. If the Lunar is trying not to be noticed, one may try to decode the tatoo by rolling Wits+Lore with a difficulty equal to the Lunar's Occult.

Form-Fixing Method
Cost: 10 motes, 1 willpower, 3 experience points
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Intelligence: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Tatoo-Cutting Wisdom
Knowledge of this Charm allows a Lunar to Tatoo a newly Exalted Lunar, fixing his Caste and allowing him to resist the physical(but not mental) properties of the Wyld. The use of this Charm requires a ceremony of several hours under the Full Moon, where occult instruments are used to draw the moonsilver tatoos in the Lunar's skin.

Essence-Hardening Mark
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Intelligence: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Form-Fixing Method
The Lunar weaves further tatoos on his flesh, but they change their hue considerably from silver. Those tatoos form a weave of Moonsilver around the Lunar’s Essence, hardening his body and soul. The character adds his Essence to his bashing, lethal, and aggravated soak totals; this counts as natural soak in all forms. In addition, he gains hardness equal to his Essence versus all forms of damage; this hardness explicitly stacks with any other hardness he may have.

Moon-Chasing Chrysanthemum Pattern – by Quendalon
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Intelligence: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Form-Fixing Method
With this Charm, the Lunar attunes her tattoos to the Essence that flows through the fabric of Creation, allowing her to draw upon that force with greater ease. The character's natural Essence regeneration rates are all doubled. This includes Essence regeneration from relaxation, Manses, Demesnes and Hearthstones. The character may even absorb Essence from a Manse or Demesne she is not attuned to; she regenerates four motes of Essence per level of unattuned Manse or Demesne per hour.

Lighting Essence Infusion – by FourWillowsWeeping
Cost: 10 motes
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Simple
Minimum Intelligence: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Moon-Chasing Chrysanthemum Pattern
The Lunar pours a molten precious metal into tattoos he already has, infusing them with a new energy. This requires a Resources 3 purchase of a Magical Material. For the duration of this Charm, he can fully attune this Material at its base attunement cost, and without a roll. His tattoos glow continuously in the infused Material's colour while this Charm is in effect.

Silver Calibration Marking – by FourWillowsWeeping
Cost: 10 motes, 1 Willpower, 5 experience points
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Intelligence: 4
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Lighting Essence Infusion
This Charm permits a Lunar to inlay moonsilver tattoos into any living being, fixing its form. This has the same benefits as Caste tattooing for Lunar Exalted, but it only constrains the target's physical form, not the shape of his spirit. It constitudes a perfect defence against effects that change the target's shape, and costs 5 experience points to affect most unexalted targets. To affect an Exalted target, these tattoos must be made of moonsilver alloyed with the Magical Material the Exalt harmonizes with, and costs 10 experience points.

This Experience must be paid by the Lunar and the tatoo's beneficiary. Non-Lunars cannot hide the tatoos with Shapeshifting Magic, and have to use their own, less perfect resources to do so. This can be bought at character creation as a Tatoo Artifact ****. At the Storyteller's discretion, if the beneficiary is a player, he may have to play the Experience himself, instead of the Lunar. This Charm takes several hours and must be performed under the light of the Full Moon.

Divine Fire Marking
Cost: 8 motes, 1 Willpower, 1+ experience points
Duration: Varies
Type: Simple
Minimum Intelligence: 5
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Silver Calibration Marking
More than fixing one's form, a Lunar can draw in one's flesh the markings of power and magic, patterns of words and codes that open the gates for great power. Using this Charm, a Lunar can inscribe in one's flesh tatoos that work as Artifacts. Those Artifacts must make sense as tatoos(they may not be external weapons or props like Wings of the Raptor, and may not be armor any heavier than Light, and nothing that possesses a Repair rating) and take the normal time to be created, and all usual Charms that aid in their Creation still apply, although the ingredients need to be melt with the Magical Materials as metallic ink.

The recipient of the tatoos can do other things in the meantime, as long as she takes a few hours every week to have them inscribed, but if she is hurt down to her -2 Health Levels it cuts by half the work already done in the tatoos, and if she is hurt down to her -4 Health Level, then the work is completely lost. This Charm costs 1 Experience Point per level of the artifact, and has doubles its cost when applied to non-Lunars. The motes remain committed for the duration of the work.

Forged from Divine Steel
Cost: 10 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Simple
Minimum Intelligence: 5
Minimum Essence: 5
Prerequisite Charms: Lighting Essence Infusion
The bodies of the Lunar Exalted are in tune with heaven - they can naturally create Moonsilver, to form claws, teeth, and the scales of the divine dragons that are the Lunars. With Forged from Divine Steel, the Lunar's ability to create the Magical Material from their flesh reaches a new level. They are able to suffuse their form with it, impregnating their bones with the power, altering the appearance of the the Lunar’s form and granting new powers. Those who take on a form Forged from Divine Steel are no longer limited to Luna's favoured metal and are able to incorporate aspects from any Magical Material! To do so they must pour the Magical Material on their Tatoos, melding them as per Lighting Essence Infusion. This requires the sacrifice of the equivalent Resources ***** purchase of the raw Magical Material, as the Lunar absorbs them in her tatoos and understands the precepts behind its magic, siffusing them in her form(Moonsilver only has a Resources ** requirement). The Lunar may not posses more than one Magical Material suffused in her form in this way. The Lunar may attune to the chosen material as if she was an Exalted of that type.

The Lunar adds the Magical Material's bonus to the statistics of her unarmed attacks and to all Natural Weapons, which are now formed from that material (See Magical Materials Reloaded), which stack with those of items of that Material when the Lunar wields one such. The effects on the lunar's appearance and other powers are noted below.

  • Orichalcum: The Lunar learns the way to shift her Form into the Sun's blessed material. Her Form becomes taller, more imposing; She grows a mane, a standard of feathers on her back, or some other great golden symbol of grandeur. Her anima receives a golden tint, and molten gold burns in her eyes as she spends peripheral essence. The nature of Orichalcum is to be perfect, solid, imperturbable, irreprensible.
    • The Lunar receives +4 to Bashing, Lethal and Aggravated Soak and Hardness.
  • Moonsilver: The easiest of all Magical Materials to master, Moonsilver comes naturally to all Lunars - many of their charms already create Moonsilver out of their flesh. But suffusing one's body with the Essence of the fluid metal of change has drastic effects even on a Child of Luna! The Lunar's form becomes more fluid, seeming to move in impossible ways with every step; And the Lunar's caste mark perpetually appears on her brow, and even if she is not casteless, it shifts constantly, going through all five castes in the span of a few minutes(every turn when excited or in combat, in the course of an hour if calm). The nature of Moonsilver is protean, ever-shifting.
    • The Lunar subtracts by 4 from the total Essence cost of Shapeshifting, including Hybrid Form Gifts(minimum 1).
  • Starmetal: The Lunar suffuses her body with the essence of Starmetal, receiving an understanding of Fate and Heavens, touched by it. The edges of the Lunar's anima darken and fill with stars on the color of the Maiden of her choice - her anima becomes an harmonious night sky, and the same constellations can be seen on her eyes as she spends peripheral essence.
    • Protected by Fate, the Lunar subtracts 1 success from damage rolls, after soak is applied.
  • Soulsteel: The Lunar suffuses her body with the dark essence of Soulsteel. Her body becomes skeletal and gaunt, flesh over bones, its colors muted, even an Ascension form based on a glorious lion turning black, white, red and gray. As the Lunar spends Peripheral Essence, howling souls appear around her anima, which is a darker shade of silver than it once was. The nature of Soulsteel is hard, torturous.
    • The Lunar receives +2 to Bashing and Lethal soak and hardness.
    • The Lunar may consume blood to recover his essence, at 1 mote per health level.
  • Jade: The Lunar suffuses her body with the natural essence of one of the many colors of Jade. Her body gleams with scales of the chosen Jade color, and it possess outgrowths of them in places such as the shoulders - in the shapes of flames for Red, of swirls in releve in the skin for Black, or of thorny flowers for Green. As Peripheral Essence is spent, the Lunar's body drips small quantities of the element - smoke comes from her mouth and nostrils, she drips of water or petals fall from under her fingertips.
    • Additionally, Jade adds a different effect depending on its color:
    • Blue Jade knocks the enemy down with its winds. A victim struck by the Lunar’s Natural Weapons must roll Dexterity+Athletics with a difficulty equal to the Lunar’s Essence or be knocked prone by their gusts.
    • White Jade shakes the ground around the victim. A victim struck by the Lunar’s Natural Weapons loses dice equal to half the Lunar’s Essence(rounded up) until the end of her next turn.
    • Red Jade wreathes a person hit by it in flames. A victim struck by the Lunar’s natural weapons bursts into flames, having to soak lethal damage equal to the Lunar’s Essence +2, soaked separately. This fire gutters out after one turn.
    • Black Jade fills the victim’s lungs with water. The victim loses the Lunar’s Essence to its Initiative for half that number(rounded up) of turns, as the victim struggles to clear the water from her lungs and throat.
    • Green Jade fills the weapons with thorny vines or sharp petal, colorful and deadly, adding half the Lunar’s Essence(rounded up) to the weapon’s damage.
  • Adamant: The Lunar suffuses her body with the essence of Adamant. Her eyes look like crystals, and so do her tatoos. When her anima goes iconic, there is something metallic in it, the iconic shape refracting light as it shines.
    • The Lunar adds +2 to damage and subtracts 4 from the soak of any armor struck by her Natural Weapons.
    • The Lunar subtracts his essence from the enemy’s when calculating the minimum damage of attacks dealt on him.

Home Is Where Your Blood Is

Living Vessel Meditation
Cost: 6 motes, 1+ willpower, 1+ Health Levels
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Simple
Minimum Charisma: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Ascendant Charisma
The Lunar's blood holds their power, and with their connection to it, they can shift their shape. With Living Vessel Meditation, the Exalt bleeds himself over a vessel, such as a ship or a wagon, and lets his blood sink within it, soaking its very structure. The Lunar needs to bleed 1 Health Level for ships or wagons, 2 Health Levels for frigates and flagships, and 3 Health Levels for First Age Warships and Airships. Those Health Levels are committed for the duration. From then on, the vessel becomes as part of the Lunar's body. This has several effects.

  • The Lunar receives a three-die bonus to all actions in the vessel, as a kind of specialty that does not counts for dice-adding limits.
  • The Lunar may reflexively spend 1 mote to control the vessel as part of his body, moving it on its own volition, moving doors and other props.
  • The Lunar has a general feel of what goes within the vessel at all times if he is anywhere within (His permanent Essence x100 miles), and always knows its direction if they are still on the same plane of existence(Creation, the Underworld, the Wyld or Heaven). This General feel can only tell the Lunar of general activities taking place within it, a party, conversation, sparring or sex, but no details or words, only feeling. One who wishes to do something undetected within has to beat the Lunar's Perception+Awareness as if he was around, and receive an extra difficulty equal to the Lunar's Compassion.

Igniting the Spirit Spark
Cost: 20 motes, 2 willpower, 10 Experience Points
Duration: Permanent
Type: Simple
Minimum Charisma: 5
Minimum Essence: 5
Prerequisite Charms: Living Palace Meditation, Living Vessel Meditation
The Living Vessel has part of the Lunar's Blood, of the Lunar's Soul. Using this Charm, the Lunar sits amidst it, infusing it with his essence, his blood, calling for Luna's might, igniting it with his Essence... and creating life. A soul. From the moment this Charm is used onwards, the Vessel or Palace becomes a living creature on its own right, 'awakening' to the world. The Lunar remains attunned to it - the awakened vessel is a Familiar *****(and allows the Lunar to possess more than one Familiar, his normal, living one and a Palace and a Vessel) with many unique characteristics:

  • This Familiar has a personality that is usually based on the Lunar that ignites life within it, or at least to his fears and desires, but modified to suit its own style and construction(A leisure palace and a grim warship will be totally different in personality and traits, even having the same creator)
  • It distributes 20 points of abilities between various abilities it may know(Such as Presence, Sail or Socialize).
  • It may make all the minute changes and movements the Lunar could, as if it knew the Living Palace and Living Vessel Meditation.
  • It has no physical attributes, but it has Social and Mental attributes, Which begin at 2 and have (Its Creator's Essence x3) in dots to distribute. It may be destroyed in the same way it usually could be destroyed, but it can now resist certain effects with Endurance or Resistance as if it was alive - for some purposes, assume it has Strength, Dexterity of Stamina equal to the Essence of its Creator.
  • It may use Charms - it has an Essence Pool of (Its Creator's Essence x5), and knows a number of Charms equal to the Lunar's Essence - most of them have Shaping the Ideal Form to change their own style and details.
  • Finally, the Lunar may use this Charm on a willing, dying being on an un-'Awakened' vessel, allowing it to awaken with the being's soul, who lives on as the Familiar, with all his memories and skills preserved. At the Storyteller's discretion, some types of magical beings may even keep a few of their magical powers or Charms they can use as the Vessel.
