Variations and Mechanical Mods

I'm excessively fond of mucking about with the core mechanics of games; as I write this, I'm running a game using the basic ideas of the Castle Falkenstein system (abilities, card values, the victorian age) and not much else. Exalted does pretty well for itself mechanically, though, so most of these mods are meant to speed up play or make stunts cooler, to fit the style of play that says coolness is king.

Dice-reduction mechanics

  • HouseRules/StreamlinedStuntSystem: An approach to stunting that grants the option of taking automatic successes instead of extra dice, w/ the objective of streamlining play.
