Intrigue is the new Black

Nowhere is the opulence, backstabbing, and pageantry of Yu-Shan more ever-present than in the Bureau of Fashion and Trend Design. Textile and creativity gods compete for greater popularity in Creation, while Sidereals engineer the patterns of Fate to decide what styles the Realm will be fighting over this season. And in the middle of this cespool of deadly superficiality comes a group of Sidereals.

Rules: House and otherwise

We'll still be using 1st Ed, obviously. Asupicious Prospects will be the way it was for SAS; once a session it allows you to decide Fate said it would be auspicious for (thing of your choice) to happen.

Choose one PC to have an already-existing positive outlook on/relationship with, and one PC you have an already-existing negative outlook/issue with. Also choose one secret agenda, because this is a Sidereal game.

Every story, each character will be given a secret directive from a superior; every time you make tangible progress towards that agenda, you will get an additional XP. This is in addition to the PERSONAL agenda XP.

Dramatis Personae

PCs:

Invincible Sword Princess: Zenith that the Sidereals are trying to turn into the first superstar fashion model. Of course, she thinks she's just trying to take over the Realm with some help from her mysterious friends.

Cheop Guntar, AKA "Grunty:" Kejak's idiot cousin, Chosen of Battles. He got stuck in the Bureau for using a little too much force on missions in Creation.

Bastian: An actor and trendmaker, who designs jewelry and creates stars to hang in the sky. Chosen of Secrets. He once fell in love with another Sidereal while they were both wearing resplendant destinies; her destiny vanished, and he has no idea who his true love is.

Tatterdemalion: A wyld-touched owlman, chosen of Journeys. He's got his finger on the primal pulse of barbarism, which is all the rage, fashion-wise; his known aliases being Bubo Pestis-Hagrider (lesser plague spirit of consumption) and Arlecchino (notorious masqued reveler).

NPCs:

Flickering Sapphire, Minister of Elegant Prescience:Dissolvegirl/B> former head of the Bureau of Fashion and Trend Design. Sapphire disappeared recently, leaving the Bureau in disarray, until a new minister could be assigned. He was fantastic at his job, and was a peerless designer. What happened to him is a mystery.

<B>Shrieking Blade:Dissolvegirl/B> current head of the Bureau of Fashion and Trend Design. Blade is a beautiful former lover of the Goddess of Serenity. Venus cast him off, and since he'd already been made immortal, gave him the job as a parting gift. Unfortunately, despite his incredible appearance, Blade is still very much the southern Barbarian lord he was as a mortal-- and therefore, has no idea about the finer points of fashion.

Well well :) How enjoyable to see you here again. I do not know if you remember me, but I used to be a fan of your writing, (more specifically "the maiden slumber party" And your Green Lady-works. At one time, you said that RPG no longer held enjoyment for you like it used to. I am to understand you found some joy in it once more? If so, it Pleases me greatly. This is a very fascinating idea, and though I have long since Revoked most of my support for Fist edition, I will surly enjoy reading what ever there will be to read about this game. I also hope your daughter is well, and that everything is fine with you and your family.

Regards

Azurelight

This is quite possibly the most interesting setting for a game I've heard of. It's really impressive how you take something as potentially mundane as clothing and make it a setting that is so well suited to the Sidereal. - ExhilaratedRosewood
