Appearance
Raja was dusky-skinned, short and stout, but with slender, nimble fingers. He usually hid his hair beneath an orange turban and had a neatly trimmed black moustache. His eyes were a curious red in color, rumored to be the result of some distant diety in his ancestry.
Personality:
Raja went on to master many styles of cooking, but always tended to turn them into a show if he could; he liked to show off. To be precise, he was very much a drama queen, tending to exaggerate his emotions for dramatic effect. He also had a tendency to challenge other cooks to contests in order to prove he was better than them, which sometimes lead to trouble.
History:
Raja grew up near Lap, inside Realm-controlled territories. He was the son of a long line of cooks, trained by his parents in their restaurant. He practiced a style of cooking known as Mijaz, where the cooks cooked people's food in front of them, mixing sleight of hand, storytelling, and cooking to make a literal show out of their work. Lord Nybraxus visited one such restaurant while his unit was stationed near Lap, and saw Raja give a fine performance. He was so impressed, he hired Raja on the spot.
Sadly, Raja perished along with Lord Nybraxus, his wife, and Nybraxus' other two henchmen during a trip to the northeastern Threshold.
Storyteller's Notes:
Raja the Cook is one of the three Henchmen of Lord Sesus Nybraxus and will generally be found in his company.
