Celestial Circle Sorcery
Attuning the Heart's Beat
Cost: 30 motes.
Duration: Permanent.
This spell links the personal essence bound to the heart of the caster, and his target. Irrevocably linked so, their lives become as one, so as that should one die, the other will also expire, within the minute, of a heart attack. This cannot be soaked, or indeed avoided in any way. Once the pact is sealed, there is no turning back. Celestial or Void Circle Countermagic can only be used against this spell at the time it is cast, and breaking the binding essence chains after they have been formed can only be done by Solar Circle Countermagic.
The spell can be targetted on any individual within (caster's Essence)*2 yards, and the caster must be able to see them clearly. This spell does not work on Spirits, Ghosts, or anything that could be argued to not have a heart.
Alternative being toyed with:The spell merely takes a few moments of Essence-manipulation to form, equivalent to a spell of the Terrestrial Circle, but to seal the pact, the caster must touch the chest of his opponent, directly above the heart. A clinch attack would achieve this, or a Martial Arts strike . A possible alternative to make a spell more combat useful

Range? Casting time normal? extra stuff?
-- Darloth demands more detail ^_^
- Always so demanding Darloth. ^_^ - Trithne
So, what is the actual point of this spell? All it seems to do is double the way you can be killed - Kraken who would also like more detail...
Hmm... yeah.. I misread this when I first read it.. I thought it was creating a pact where if the sorceror dies, whoever is pacted dies too.. which I could see useful, not that it worked both ways.. .. what IS the point? ^^ FluffySquirrel
- Think of it in a similar way to the Rune of Singular Hate. It -is- intended to be used the way you expressed. Unlike the Rune, it can't be speedcast, which is a clear downside of it. It's a vindictive spell, not a tactical one. Sometimes, there's just no hope, but you can take the bastard out with you. Also, if you use it on one of the larger antagonists in your game, suddenly, they can't kill you. - Trithne
There's your detail. Also, note the alternative rule regarding the spell's usefulness, by accellerating the casting time, but requiring concact to function. I'd like opinions on it, as I'd like the spell to be useful (but still vindictive, rather than tactical), but not OP, which the fact it's unavoidable death could make it. - Trithne
