Creation-Based Destruction
Unraveling Caress
Cost: 1 mote, 1 gossamer Duration: Instant Type: Simple Minimum Ring: 2 Minimum Essence: 2 Prerequisites: Ordinary Object Conjuration
Just as the raksha can create mundane things, he can also learn how to destroy them. After touching the object due for destruction, the raksha's player rolls Intelligence + Craft(Glamour) [or an applicable normal Craft] as a Ring-shaping action. Should the target roll a number of successes equal to or above the object's Resources value, it is immediately destroyed in a suitably dramatic fashion. This only functions on mundane objects no larger than two people can stand, and cannot be used to destroy objects in the possession of others.
Breath of the Wyld
Cost: 3 gossamer Duration: One Story Type: Simple Minimum Ring: 3 Minimum Essence: 2 Prerequisites: Unraveling Caress, Gossamer-Forging Art
With a gesture, a spoken word, or even no action at all, the raksha sends forth a rush of Wyld-tainted Essence that aims to do direct damage to its target. How the 'bolt' looks can vary wildly, but it must always have a visible component (even if it's just barely-there ripples in the air). When activating this Charm, the raksha gains the following ability.
Wyld Burst: The raksha may generate a damaging bolt of energy that either produces Lethal or Bashing damage. How this bolt can specifically be summoned varies from character to character--- it could appear to be music that rends the soul or a firing line of unearthly warriors who send a stream of arrows at the target.
The raksha rolls Intelligence + an applicable Ability depending on how the bolt is described when the charm is first purchased (the examples above are Performance and Archery, respectively) , along with an Accuracy bonus equal to the raksha's Ring. The attack has a range of (character's Essence x 10 yards), does a base damage of either 2L or 3B per mote of Essence spent, and may not use more motes per bolt than the raksha's Wits + Craft (Gossamer). Using this attack is considered a Simple action.
Various modification Charms may be purchased to augment and improve upon this charm (see below).
Planned Modification Charms
(surcharges forthcoming)
- Creation-Rotting Bliss: Option added to generate 1A per mote when using bolt against beings 'of Creation'.
- Lingering Brand: Bolt ignores mundane armor, unparriable with mundane weapons, ignores non-Magical material/non-Charm-based cover bonuses
- Shinma's Chastisement: infliction of negative mutations on successful check; permanent for mundanes, scenelong for Ess 2+ (Glamour)
- Churning World Snare: roots target in place physically on damage, check every turn to escape
- Hammer Shatters Glass: target takes penalties to sense-use on damage, can be ignored with proper Charms
- Shinma's Uplifting: grants 'positive' temporary mutations to damaged target, roll needed to determine if target goes berserk for scene (Glamour)
- Gryphon's Eternal Flight: line-of-sight range to attack, attack fires off instantly and becomes unblockable and undodgeable without charm/stunt use
- Devoured Majesty: damaged target must sacrifice either gained dice or gained Essence/WP on stunts for remainder of scene. (Glamour)
- Millstone Necklace Destiny: damaged target gains +diff to all actions against raksha who damaged them, cannot channel a chosen Virtue, botches are highly catastrophic (Glamour)
- A Touch of Bedlam: damaged Exalt gains 1 Limit or is pushed closer to suffering Limit Break-like effects when applicable. Limited uses. (Glamour)
- Bane of Shape: damaged target loses set amount of natural soak for remainder of scene, damage is specially marked and effect fades if damage is repaired beforehand.
Unstable Object Forging
Mad Sparking Whetstone
Cost: 5 motes, 1 Willpower, 1 gossamer Duration: One scene Type: Reflexive Minimum Ring: 3 Minimum Essence: 2 Prerequisites: Ordinary Object Conjuration, Essence-Forging Art
By simply stroking a weapon lovingly, the raksha can infuse it with the touch of the Wyld, adding to its might for a short time. The raksha simply need but run their hand along the weapon (creating a momentary shower of iridescent sparks) and invest the motes and willpower; so long as the weapon's owner consents, this effect adds to the weapon the bonus normally given to gossamer weapons: +1 accuracy, damage and defense and +2 rate. If the raksha using this Charm has a Ring higher than 3, the weapon is also imbued with the maddening fury of the Wyld, dazzling those injured by the weapon and inflicting a non-cumulative +1 difficulty to all actions for the remainder of the scene. This charm only affects mundane weapons.
Sovereign War Shell
Cost: 5 motes, 1 Willpower, 1 gossamer Duration: One scene Type: Reflexive Minimum Ring: 3 Minimum Essence: 2 Prerequisites: Ordinary Object Conjuration, Essence-Forging Art
With a moment's thought and a touch, the raksha imbues a target's armor with a bit of the Wyld's unpredictable might. This charm adds the raksha's (Ring + 2) to the armor's Lethal and Bashing soak, reduces Fatigue checks and Mobility penalties by one and gives the armor an odd, swirling mother-of-pearl appearance for the Charm's duration. Unless the user's Ring is higher than 3, this added soak is useless against attacks that grievously harm Wyld things, such as cold iron and applicable anti-Wyld Charms; otherwise, the additional soak is halved, rounded up. This charm only affects mundane armor.
