Lunar Sorcery Charms by Quendalon
Essence-Channeling Tattoo
Cost: 10 motes, 1 Willpower, 1 experience point Duration: Instant Type: Simple Minimum Intelligence: 4 Minimum Essence: 3 Prerequisite Charms: Tattoo-Cutting Wisdom, Terrestrial Circle Sorcery
The loremasters of the Lunars have learned many unique ways to manipulate and channel their Essence. With this Charm, the character inscribes a moonsilver tattoo upon a fellow Lunar in an hours-long ceremony. This tattoo reduces the cost of a chosen Charm by one mote of Essence per use, to a minimum of one mote per use. Both Lunars must know the Charm in question, and the recipient must commit a single mote of Essence to the tattoo. Should the recipient ever reclaim the committed mote, the tattoo evaporates into moonlight and silver mist. A Lunar may have any number of these tattoos, but no more than one tattoo per Charm.
Moon-Chasing Chrysanthemum Pattern (designed for CharmRelay)
Cost: None Duration: Permanent Type: Special Minimum Perception: 3 Minimum Essence: 3 Prerequisite Charms: Form-Fixing Method
With this Charm, the Lunar attunes her tattoos to the Essence that flows through the fabric of Creation, allowing her to draw upon that force with greater ease. The character's natural Essence regeneration rates are all doubled. This includes Essence regeneration from relaxation, Manses, Demesnes and Hearthstones. The character may even absorb Essence from a Manse or Demesne she is not attuned to; she regenerates four motes of Essence per level of unattuned Manse or Demesne per hour.

Again, tres cool! I really like these. Questions though: Essence-Channeling Tattoo, what if an Eclipse knows a Lunar Charm? Can they get this tattoo as well? nikink
- Since it's not a shapeshifting charm and there's still the heavy mote surcharge for foreign charms, I think it'd be reasonably. Heck, I think an Eclipse can learn Form-Fixing Method and use it on anyone. - GordonMichael
- Thanks! If an Eclipse gains this Charm, he can tattoo a Lunar; but like Form-Fixing Method, the recipient must be a Lunar. No moonsilver tattoos for the Eclipse Caste! - Quendalon
- Guess I misread it then. I figured that since only Finding the Spirit's Shape said had the big "Eclipses cannot learn this charm or anything derived from it" note, every charm refers to the user as a Lunar even when it means "Lunar, Eclipse or Amalgam", Form-Fixing Method doesn't have Finding the Spirit's shape as a prerequisite and there was nothing in the erratta, anyone could be tattooed. On closer inspection of some of the charm descriptions I realised that Form-Fixing Method appears to be the only canon Lunar charm with a non-personal effect that refers to the target as a Lunar (and that Tattoo-Cutting Wisdow only affects objects), so you're right about Form-Fixing Method. - GordonMichael
